Used to go there for years, used to the place:) when compared with other clubs, equipment is way too old and many of the advanced things missing...but the basics is there. And very spacious, with friendly and helpful management

Love my gym. Zumba & yoga classes are the best here! Staff are friendly. Facilities are always clean. Awesome pool. Morning times are hectic for machines.

This facility has no generator for when loadshedding occurs. I drive all the way to the gym to find out no one is allowed in due to power.

Normally there is no service at sportsmans and the music in the kitchen is so loud its sound like a night club, but this time there was a lady with the last name of Saaiman, she made a world of difference. She knows what is going-on and friendly, helped us in a flash, Normally the one calls the other because of incompetence. She should be the manager.

Club times arent the same as other clubs and for me as a national member to come and train and find the club closed is highly inconvenienced ne. I come from abroad and all the other club times there are the same of this name brand. I feel that I pay a monthly national rate to virgin active and should see the same level of service at all clubs. Other than that the staff is friendly and the facility has all general equipment needed to do a great workout.

Clean, spacious. This gym has brand new equipment that looks great. I briefly glanced at the treadmills and they now limit you on the goal you run. The VA I usually go to didnt have that. Other than that it will have everything you need to lift bro.

Brilliant facilities. Cant say the same of their head office staff. Absolutely a disgrace and waste of time trying to sort ou a problem.

Clean and friendly staff. The classes were bad but now there are instructors with a can do attitude so they have more classes now. You can do rumble at normal hours now and not just at 5am

I have given this place 5 stars before,but honestly...I went today,hyped up on preworkout,ready to hit a hard session with friends,only to find out that the place is experiencing technical issues and no one can enter,only finding out about this from waiting to go in well over 20 min,me leaving my car parked on the road and having to walk to the lazy security guards who cant even let you know instead of waiting and wasting time...v active should put better notification systems in place.After driving 17km to waste time I think this is ridiculous.

Decent gym. Very busy during peak hours. And weight equipment is aging. Friendly staff.

The gym in need of an huge upgrade...its still the same like 15years ago.. no new equiptment in 15years. The other virgin gyms got the best.

Older machines than most virgin active, but nothing wrong with the gym. 25 m pool with plenty of lanes. Very busy early in the morning ar 05:00 am

Decent gym, clean and neat although equipment is very much out of date compared to other Virgin Actives I’ve visited.

Open on exact time but want to close early.Bad policy regarding visitors that visit once a year from other cities. Require to pay same as non Virgin member 😖

Double-story building, spacious, secured parking. Free weights + machines, fitness equipment, gymnastics hall, cycling/yoga/swimming classes, Olympic pool, steam room. Kauai store at the premises. Unless youre spoiled by the fancy-schmancy JHB clubs, you will like this place.

Always packed but nice staff and people

Polite staff , but when is comes to vissitors , a form must be completed every day that they come into the gym, and then its just to watch their grandchildren train. Why all the paper work every time?

Friendly staff and great running coaches

Friendly staff. Way too busy after 5 pm. Expect to wait approx 15 - 20 mins to use a machine. Club seriously needs to increase the number of bench press, cable cross over and squat rack machines/benches.

The gym equipment is outdated, everything from the cardio machines all the way to the weights. Seriously in need of some TLC.

All you could need in one place. Mondays and Tuesdays are super busy you might not find open equipment.
