Stunning setting and awesome cottages. Really really peaceful in indigenous forest. The bird life is amazing as well. Definitely cant wait to be able to come back.

I am almost hesitant to rate this beautiful place 5 stars, so as to keep it unspoilt... but absolutely beautiful and peaceful. The hikes exceeded expectations! accommodation is humble but is fully equipped and perfect for the stay! love this place!

Peace, privacy, 4 seasons per day - and a cottage equipped with everything we needed, in working order! (Excellent wifi). Many walking trails, ample firewood, and a huge bath - we relished being at Trugon cottage. Thank you Mark for clear communication and providing such a lovely getaway option. Definitely to be repeated.

Spent my one year anniversary here.The cottage was absolutely beautiful and very well kempt.The attention to detail (candles, hot water bottle, bubble bath, peaceful sleep) really added something extra to the place.The hiking trails are most definitely something else, deep into a natural forest and past streams and small waterfalls, we loved seeing all the small creatures (insects, frogs, crabs, monkeys) and the greenery took our breath away.The misty weather we had added to the secluded feeling the place has.Romantic and peaceful atmosphere all round.We will most definitely be coming again and be recommending this place to everyone we know.Thank you for making our anniversary so special!

Amazing place in the middle of nature. All of the necessary luxury with the bonus of not having TV.We luxuriated in front of the indoor fire/braaiplace, took amazing Riverside hikes (I recommend water, good hiking footwear and a walking stick) observed lots of birds, butterflies and interesting critters.Simply fantastic photo opportunities abound all around you!

Magical, this is one word I can use to describe Birders Cottages. The self catering cottage was well equipped, we were not left wanting anything. Plenty of birds, bugs, amazing views, outdoor bath, shower, toilet and basin at the main bedroom is an awesome touch.LED lights in every room, gas stove and oven is perfect for dealing with the load shedding times that Escom blessed us with this weekend we stayed at the Robin Cottage.The forest walks were undesirable, so many different plants, birds, bugs and other critters to enjoy. The friendly neighborhood Jack Russell loves to join on the hiking trails.I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND staying at any of the cottages at Birders Cottages, Magoebaskloof. I can not wait for our next visit. This is the BEST way to disconnect from the hussel and bustle of city life and reconnect with yourself and loved ones, no TV and luxurious nature is the best blessing one could ask for. Amazing mountain air, mountain streams & absolutely fantastic cottage

Tranquility at its best. Accommodation for self catering was perfect. First time I encountered paper serviettes and glad wrap being supplied. Just seems everything was thought of. Even 12V backup power with Led lights in case of power failure
