About 10 years ago, this Nandos used to be amongst the best on the North Coast. Management and staff remembered all the regular customers by name and could tell you what they were going to order in advance. Now there’s no management to be seen and staff run the show.Tonight Bongeka was at the cashiers and took my order. In her left hand, she was rolling up whatever she had just picked out of her nose. She had no idea how to process a veggie burger so the cook (in his apron) came over to complete the order and take payment. Without washing her hands she runs to the kitchen to prepare my food. At the serving station right in front of me I saw her take a portuguese roll from the container with thongs as she should have, but I watched her going to the next station (in the back) and she held the same roll in her unwashed hands while cutting it in half. The place was virtually empty and staff were just sitting around chatting loudly and being jovial. I understand low level staff here try to make things happen but there’s obviously no adequate training regarding hygiene etc. and no seniors to oversee them. On a good note the place seems clean and all staff are polite when engaging with a customer, but are a bit too casual when talking to each other right in front of the same customer. As it is Nandos is way overpriced and this bad service just made me realise there are far better options out there and I’ll not be supporting them again.. anywhere. See the photos of the haphazardly assembled R74 veggie burger plus side of chips I received here versus a R85 veggie burger from Rocomammas. No contest.

Since the beginning of the pandemic we havent had any takeout, and last decided to try the kerb side collection at Nandos. Boy Oh Boy.... That was worth the wait, I have never had a good experience at this branch but my meal last night knocked it out the park. The chicken was a satisfying portion more than any other time I ate at a nandos, the meal was tasty 😁 I dealt with a lady Zinhle that was so polite and efficient which was so refreshing for once💯😊I think the lockdown really helped overworked staff with humbleness and passion now because there is a definite change in the total customer experience. Service was good and food was good , but I think their extractors were not working as the whole restaurant was smoked up. Yet everyone carried about there business as normal. Just meant me me doing a takeaway.

I personally consider it the best restaurant in Tongaat and surroundings. No disappointment on meal, service is quick and excellent with very tasty meals ever. It’s a very good place to be. I always get tempted to go buy meals when I pass by, and it’s all worth it.

Nandos is our favorite take-out option however very few of them are consistently good, or take the time to add in the customers personal request. Portions always vary and until recently the kiddies menu was not good.I have to commend Nandos in Tongaat for their consistency, paying attention to detail and meeting our expectation every time. The food is always good and never dry.A special acknowledgement to Sandy who always has great contol over the restaurant and deals well with customer queries.

A very neat venue. Very good seating and clean abulition facilities. Food prepared very well. Only problem is they dont provide enough serviettes. Staff are pleasant.

Portions are too small

My vehicle was broken into just outside Nandos. The car guard conveniently went to buy a cigarette, I was in and out in two minutes and my lock was broken bag and money was stolen. Unsafe to park in that area, that guard should be removed or replaced and cameras should be placed there

I went to the tongaat store to purchase and take home but the doors are close and ladies said no chicken????Many people coming and getting turned away then going across the road to KFCTHEY LOOSING OR CHASING BUSINESS AWAY!!!

The staff arent customer focus. Waiting time is a problem. But the chicken is done excellent.

Made a simple request last week when ordering at the cashier, cashier instructed the waiter who then ignored her, my partner went up to the same waiter a few minutes later with the same request - we were ignored again! Eventually a manager had to assist us. Today we went back and made the same request and the same thing happened! Started at the cashier and called the waiter as well. SIMPLY IGNORED US! and then went off to sweep the restaurant. Its like they dont understand english, they just ignore what you say! Waiters clean and then serve customer meals inbetween. Complained to Nandos and got such a useless response. Will not frequent this place again..stay away!

The service was all quick quick, I ordered online while I was in transit to the next town from Dbn. It was a pickup order so when I got there,my food was ready for pickup. Big up to the efficiency of being able to attend to walk-in orders, telephone orders AND ONLINE orders too !!

Worst experience ever. Ordered my family meal telephonically and was told via sms that my meal will ready at 7:30. I got to nandos tongaat at 7:15 and only got my meal at 8:00. By this time my hungry kids were half asleep... other customers were told to wait 1 hour as they had run out of chicken.... Nandos Tongaat what a joke... Being a tongaat resident, I will never support you ever again...
