If clubbing and dancing is your scene, stay away from The Brazen Head. However, if you like good pub food, good beer and a rustic atmosphere, youll be hard pressed to find a more ideal after-work hangout than this pub. The wooden tables, vine-covered walls, heated lounge and classic bar all contribute to a chill atmosphere, which is only emphasized by the indie-rock and folk music often played in the background. Noise levels are much lower than in most bars, so conversation is not just possible, but pleasant. Lunch could be anything from burgers with chips to nachos, and although not a wide selection, youd be hard-pressed to find more value for money in pub food.The wide array of beers is unmatched by any other well-known pub in Stellenbosch, and events such as St. Patricks Day is not to be missed here.

Great place to grab a beer, a meal and watch the game

Great pub for watching sport or having a beer in summer. Good selection of beer and decent food (better than most pubs) making this a good place for a light lunch or dinner. A highlight is their Guinness draught - adding to the Irish feel. They have shaded seating outside as well as a large indoor area.

The pub atmosphere is good and the amount of televisions installed make it a good place to watch important sporting events.

Great Irish pub. Not as good as the original one in Dublin though.
