We visited Punjab on a Friday night. They were very busy, but had a table to spare for us. We ordered lamb curry, but they ran out of lamb (at 18h00) and we had to order chicken corma. The chicken was well prepared and the garlic naam bread was very tasty. The service was ok.I love the interior decorating and the history of how Punjab came about in the front of their menu. I would have given them a better rating, if they had lamb.

Very lekker indian food. I had a palak paneer and for some reason it was very light and fragrant. Other than others. Very special. Came already 3 times back to have it again.

Great Indian food tucked away in a boring shopping center. Walk past all the other restaurants and eat here. The menu is big and hot means hot. There are plenty of great vegetarian and vegan options and they have a liquor license.

It was my first time at Punjab in Stellenbosch and i was impressed with the standard of the food . Proper North Indian Cuisine , Deep Aromatic flavours , Delicious and very well prepared Curries , with tender pieces of chicken . Prices are fair and either rice or roti is included in the price of the Curry. They definiteky know what they are doing and I definitely would go back and try out the rest of the menu items in future and the Carrot Halwa . Curry on with the great work !!!

Good enough food, but they still do not have a drinks menu more than 2 months after opening! The cutlery also looks second-hand, which is not a problem as we eat with our hands. However, weve never been offered finger bowls after our meals, which is disappointing. Since there is no other Indian restaurant in Stellenbosch, we are stuck with Punjab.

Staff was friendly and accommodating to our group size and quickly helped arrange seating for us. Food was delicious and didnt take very long to arrive. Their chocolate milkshakes is a definite recommendation from me.

Im so disappointed, finally found an Indian cuisine place in stellenbosch. However not only was the service bad, they where very overpriced. The food was really good but id rather travel to Gordons Bay and have the same quality food at better rates... And also much friendlier service. The only reason I gave 2 stars and not 1 is because I feel the chef is actually good.

Very nice food, however ordered vegetarian meals specifically for Facebook promotion (-30%) and when bill arrived no such promotion was subtracted...After asking the waitress she said it only applied to Capetown branch even though the promotion specifically stated Stellenbosch

This is a special place, not sure why I dont know about it but Ive throughly enjoyed my meal here! Portions are very generous and the food is spot on.

Honestly this place was terrible today. Our drinks order took 50 minutes to arrive (for 3 people), and then they both didnt bring half the order and incorrectly made the other half. We eventually opted not to order food because the place was incompetently slow and service was really not up to scratch. Other reviewers mention having a good time, so perhaps this truly was an exception, but I wont go back. For the prices they charge, I would honestly have expected better.

We asked the owners to suggest 3 main meals to share and went on a taste journey with whole spices attesting to the authenticity. Honestly one of the places with the best Indian food, but when we called more than once, to maoe a reservation, they did not even pick up the phone.Decided to take a chance, when we got there it was ful and the staff was so rude, without of respectfully greeting and saying that they are full, she just simply shook her hand rudely to say that there is no space for us.This is very dissapointing.Improvement is definitely neededwith regards to this.

Love the combination of spices, herbs and different foods. Their methods of preparing the foods to have the full body of the spices absorbed exin isthe food is exceptional. True Indian style, over hot 🔥💯❗ and done individually by hand-skill. Great selection of wines spirits to round it off.

The better place to enjoy indian food in the Western Cape. Book ahead on weekend evening as they are usually fully booke. The punjabi chicken tikka and chicken tikka masala are the best dishes. Its an easy dining place within a mall. Sad that they changed the old concise menu to the new very long menu - most items on the new menu arent available and make ordering more difficult.

We were looking for Indian food and found this place for dinner. Amazing food and service with many options on the menu. We had chicken kadhai, daal tadka and roomali roti. Authentic food cooked with indian spices.

Although I love Indian food, have never eaten at an Indian restaurant before, so I wasnt sure what to expect when I decided to head to Punjab.Yet somehow, all my expectations were beyond exceeded. My friend and I sat down, ordered some water, but then an emergency came up and we had to leave for 40mins. When we came back, they had reserved our table for us - now that is good service!The food was freshly prepared, properly spicy, beautifully presented, with home made naan and rotis. The server was just lovely, interactive, and seemed to love his job. The manager was also on site and greeted us with a smile.Although I thought the portions were small, looks were deceiving, and I couldnt finish my food!Although the menu is currently still limited as it is a new restaurant, it has plenty of vegan and vegetarian options too.

Very good curries carry Punjab above smaller grievances.
