Lovely service, friendly customers. I had just arrived from Bloemfontein (13 hours bus ride🥴) and I was exhausted. I needed a place to get coffee and breakfast while I waited for my room to be ready at a guest house.I was there for a couple of hours and didnt feel like I had overstayed my welcome. I was studying to pass time, and felt very comfortable.

Super slow service. After being seated at a table for over 20 minutes, not a single waiter asked to take an order for food or drink. Eventually walked to a counter to place an order myself.

Absolutely pathetic service. I waited for nearly 20 minutes without any waiter attending me. Eventually I noticed the manager and draw his attention. I complain to him and ordered a hot chocolate to drink which was a cold chocolate by the time he brought it. I asked for another one and ordered my food also. Then I waited for 45 minutes before it arrives. Everything was cold including the food. Not once was a waiter at my table to check up if everything was in order. Needless to say I waited another almost 25 minutes for my bill. So what was supposed to be a nice quick lunch turns out to be a torture of bad food and service more more than 90 minutesAfter a bad experience I was impressed by the way the manager handled it. Received excellent service today and the food was from top drawer. Keep the standard like that and you will see me definitely again

Restaurant was full. So slow service was understandable. We still waited close to an hour for breakfast. When the food did come, it was ice cold. Our eggs seemed like they came from the fridge and my toasted sandwich was cold. Absolutely unacceptable and disgusting. Cold eggs and soggy English muffins. If they can’t deal with the amount of people, they need to have less tables or more staff.

The waitress seemed to either no know how to do her job or was just disinterested in doing it. My food was terrible, the standards have gone down

Bad.Apart of been a very noise place (I can live with is, the location is at a supermarket entry), you wait for 40 minutes for a salad and when finally arrives, beggars do not allow you to enjoy your meal.Food quality is regular...I had to dive in my salad to find a little piece of the ingredients.Not impressed.The service is bad, you basically need to stand and hunt a waiter down to be able to get some service.When i asked for the bill I waited for 15 minutes. Ridiculous... eventually I walked to the till.The waiters were chatting. The management of this place is terrible.Not recommended

The coffee was great, but the service was slow. It was cold so we were waiting outside at the table for an table inside to open. It seems that we were forgotten for a while. I am sure this was just a once in a lifetime hickup.... we did get our coffee eventually after we moved inside...

Mugg and Beans portions are massive and you definitely get good value for money when you visit them. There were only a few tables as the students are away during the holidays, but they are normally extremely busy. Their cappacino was good. The service was fine.

Great as per usual. Staff was friendly and helpful. I have a long history with this branch and have spend countless hours socializing there for over 18 years. Retired last year so now I dont get into Stellies much anymore, when I do, we stop in there. Thank you for your service.

I walked into the eating area & observed all Covid regulations at the door & was ushered to a table. Shortly thereafter a waitress brought me a menu. I then waited........& waited..........& waited. After +- 10 -15 mins I just left. Sadly no one came to serve me. All I wanted was a good cup of coffee, which incidentally, is this establishments core business. Mugg and Bean is always a winner! Lovely to sit outside in the beautiful Winelands weather. My little dog, Bertie, also enjoys sitting outside and loves a bite of blueberry muffin. Just miss the jalapeño, cream cheese and bacon sandwich that disappeared from the menu!

Great place for breakfast. Huge menu with a selection for almost any mood. Sadly the waiting time can be crazy sometimes. Depending on the day you can get friendly staff or ones that wont speak to you at all during your visit. Sometimes the coffee can be good but other times they burn the milk and serve something that is closer in taste of boiled dish washing liquid. Great view of town center and well located.

Bad service. Some items not available on menu. Manager absent.hiding in the back. Waited half hour for our bill. Bill had extra items on. Of the 9 cyclist only 2 got their food waiting for hour

Really friendly and helpful service. Food is healthy, yummy, and tastes like its had that personal attention. Most franchises dont manage to get that right. I was in a rush and needed to eat something quickly. They managed to meet my time frame without fuss or energy.

Bad experience, they do not have items on the menu, when asked if they have a croissant they the waiter said yes. When asked from when the waiter said from yesterday. We asked to see the waiter but he was not willing to come and speak to us. Very poor service.

If I could I would give you no star after yesterdays service we cyclist received. Manager to scared to come face us after I asked for him to come and making sad excuses letting the waiter do his talking. You will not see us again.

Ordered brown toast with the breakfast, toast was never delivered, did not want syrup on bacon, delivered with syrup on bacon.

Ordered two coffees and a Giant muffin via UberEats. It was tasty, rich and great value for money. Thanks to Otis for the positive words added, really needed that this day. Would gladly recommend and support again.

Staff were extremely friendly but the food let them down massively... Food was cold, bland and downright tasteless. Considering Mugg & Bean is one of my favorite eateries I was extremely disappointed, best thing on my plate was the bread 🤷‍♀️

Was at my table for an hour and not once did a waiter stop by to ask for a drinks or food order. Entire restaurant was covered in smoke from the kitchen. Toilet seat is broken and doesnt stay up, so inevitably gets sprinkled with urine.

Currently at Mug &Bean Stellenbosch. Like the quality of food. Service is a bit slow today.A big let down is the toilet! Only one toilet for customers and staff is far too little. Paint scheme and condition of toilet is currently questionable

Entered Mugg and Bean at 11:10. Waitress approached us 5 minutes later. Got our drinks 15min later and our food 45 minutes after we arrived. Waitress placed the food on our table....no cutlery. Sorry guys I forgot let me get it for you. 5 min later we had to call another waitress to bring the cutlery. Bad bad bad service from our waitress. We were at Table nr 18, 3 people seated at the entrance.

Walked in and nobody greeted myself and my partner until we actually managed to make eye contact with one of the waiters that seemed to be having an intense convo with a colleague about the previous evening. No managers approached us either. The meat in the wrap that I ordered was really tough, it was definitely not freshly cooked. Only reason for the second star is that the actual restaurant itself was quite nice.

Open at 7h00 in the morning, which is wonderful if you service you vehicle early. Great service, food good, friendly staff. Enjoyed the music, you can sit as long as you wish, without feeling to finish your meal in a hurray. Highly recommend

Great food but if you are trying on having a quick lunch rather give this place a skip. Service is very sluggish even though it was basically empty, cant wait an hour for a simple salad.Even a simple task of getting the bill was a struggle. Best not waste time here

I had to find a waiter myself to place an order as we already waited a while. The drinks and food took too long to arrive. The food was good and the portions was generous. The waiter was friendly.

Our food took an hour and a half to arrive. Ice cold food and tea was served. People who sat down for only 20mins was served before us who arrived an hour before them. Only one waiter running around trying his best to help people.

The service is awful - we just walked away this morning when no one bothered to even greet us (let alone seat us). However, from previous visits I can say that the food is good.

The coffee and food is good. Service, however, is a bit sluggish. Gospel music plays here every day, and quite loudly - not really my cup of tea. Id like to see something that includes everyone and all tastes.

Very sluggish service and waiters and staff show no interest in assisting with a place to sit handing of menus, the worst Mug and Bean I have ever visited where by a client have to ask to be handed a Menu. They also not busy lots of open chairs. Really sad
