Considering the power issues I still feel that the meal was below standards once again. The fillet steaks ordered either medium or medium rare with both rare at best. The ice cream was icy frozen although they said it was home madeI personally do not recommend the restaurant.

We stopped for tea and ended up getting a tour of all the miniature succulents that Elmarie and Barry are growing and selling to the public. What a lovely couple and the most amazing plants!

Great experience for a business traveler. Comfortable and good food

Very disappointing stay, having opted for this place because of the reviews. Firstly, when I arrived, non of the staff members were wearing masks and wanted to assist me without wearing masks. It is only when I insisted that they wear masks that they did. One staff member who did not have a mask just took a mask off the face of another staff member. It made me wonder about the general compliance of the establishment with Covid protocols. Insofar as the room is concerned, although it looked clean, it did not smell clean. The bedding was certainly recycled and not fresh. With regards to the food, I waited for a long time for my dinner. Although the fish I ordered was well seasoned, it was overcooked and served as a lump on my plate. The veggies were also overcooked. Overall, it is an experience I would not like to repeat. Staff is friendly though. They just need to improve on their service offering.

Lovely serene environment, a place worthy to spend some nights at in the Standerton area. Wonderful staff and a nice feeling buffet if you go B&B. Very much worth recommending as first choice B&B guesthouse.

Living arrangement is not bad at all they have great WiFi but the food is to die for greatest attraction.

This place rescued us! We were stranded at midnight in the small town of Standerton after our Air BnB cancelled on us last minute. I called in faith and a gentleman called Brian assisted us and told us to come straight through although we were an hour away. The overall service, our room, the facilities, the underfloor heating was a great way to make up for a freezing and unpredictable night. A big thank you to Brian and the warm staff members. Had an excellent stay.

Really nice place to stay. Staff very helpful and friendly. Well stocked and cozy bar as well as a very good dining area. Would not stay any where else in Standerton.

Positive: Classic style. Negative: Tv remote not working; Hot water a problem, took very long and not very hit.

Nice place with beautiful garden

Ive only been here for a few minutes but I am impressed. Friendly staff, beautiful rooms and an amazing bathroom I must add. It gives one that feeling of being home away from home. Every guest is given undivided attention and A glass of Sherry on a cold Standerton evening, what more can one ask for? Great service all round.

Food was good, presented nicely. The table on the stoep, with a view on the beautiful garden, was very peaceful.

The manager Brian is very helpful. Rooms are very comfortable and well equipped. The restaurant serves premium quality meals. I forgot to mention the bar and the garden, the latter is breathtaking.

Negative: There was no hot water available to take a shower in. If you are paying close to R1000 per night for a room, then there is no acceptable excuse for not being able to take a shower! Will not return..
