I want to commendthe efficient and friendly lady who served me at the bakery yesterday.She cut a whole wheat bread for me, using a gloved hand.When it would not easily fit into the bag, she immediately gloved her other hand, before touching the bread.She even covered the open end of the bag with another bag, to secure it from falling out.Such a great example of good service and hygiene.Than you

Being the only Store in St Helena apart from another even smaller retail store, we have no option but to do some shopping here. Coming from a retail background i find this Spar far below the standard you will find anywhere else. Starting at the bakery section, always either sold out or understocked. The butchery section the same. Always short stocked or out of. Midday you will find the shelves very untidy. Seems like it gets packed once a day and then left for the rest of the day. General grocery department you will find that certain items are unpriced for days on end. Seems that management very rarely do a floor-walk with the merchandiser responsible for that section. If Spar St Helena wants to attract the new residents, customers that flock into this town they will certainly have to up their game. Retail is detail and Spar St Helena is not making the grade

Was double charged for eggs. Went back next day to get refund. Bought some oranges for R16.99 charged R19.99. No apology. Always double check what you are charged. Store advertised prices often not changed on their systems. I wonder how many other customers get short changed here.

Good place to be always fully stocked with professional staff and service

Decent, clean, friendly staff. My only complaint would be the hot food section...the service wasnt really good... And the other problem was that the food wasnt exactly hot, or even warm...if youre goimg to charge more than kfc for a piece of chicken it bettter well be hot...i also found the wedges to be really old and hard (because they definately werent hot chips as advertised) other than that...standard Spar franchise expectations were met.

Very bad service , cancelled last minute on our helper when I ordered and arrived at our house to fetch her, had to use alternate provider. Very disappointed and will now use alternate supplier when arranging transport.

The food is good but very costly otherwise the service is good

On Google it says it have a FNB ATM but there isnt.. otherwise service was good

Despite friendly staff, the prices at this Spar is outrageous compared to other Spar shops, including the one at Velddrif. As this is a franchise, prices can be set at owners will. My advise, buy at Velddrif (Laaiplek) or Shoprite, P&P and Checkers in Vredenburg

Spar standards are slipping. So many things without prices....

Bakery OK. Butchery a problem..., except if you like unneat and very fatty cuts of meat (often also very thick - not talking about steak!). Did not ever see pork neck chops in this SPAR. In general stock an issue (not only now during Covid times). Loosing lots of potential customers driving to the two neighbouring towns...

Spar friendly efficient service

Very nice Spar conveniently located in St Helena Bay. The Spar is small but has all the basics and some - including a small coffee bar, deli and bakery. It is located right next to the main road and parking shouldnt be an issue out of season.

I never enjoy having to do any sort of shopping at this Spar. Goods are over priced and store isnt in the best shape. I will give a 2 star rating but only because of the staff.
