I ordered the burger special as a takeaway and was not disappointed. So this rating is for the takeaway burger which is only one of the experiences to be had. It’s actually an ideal place to dine with its fantastic view of the harbour.

Cocktails are great and pizza was fully stacked. Impressed with the portion size of the pizza. Waitress was very friendly as well. This is what I expect and enjoy about Westcoast hospitality!

Customer service was very by the wayish, I dont expect to ask to have my table cleaned before Im seated at it. Just basics were very annoying doesnt matter how friendly you are but if you give me a dirty glass and seat me at a dirty table. Had to ask for my food to be put in a take away because of their by the wayish service

We spent our Easter Weekend in St Helena Bay and went scouting for a place to have breakfast on Good Friday and ended up staying at De Palm till around 2pm the afternoon. What a lovely homely environment and likewise management and staff met us with friendliness and helpfulness.. What a jewel of a restaurant. Keep up the good work De Palm team.👏👏👏👌👌.

That was great food from the cuppucino onwards. I enjoyed the food. First time for me in a rural area everything tasted great, maybe cos i quit smoking, but nevertheless i enjoyed all they served.

Arrived for an impromptu lunch, all Covid protocols in place, welcomed by friendly staff, once seated waitress brought us a menu. Drinks arrived fairly quickly, food order was placed and arrived after a reasonable time. Menu was fairly varied, and the food we ordered was very good. The manager/owner? chatted on more than one occasion to ensure that we were being cared for. West Coast restuarants have there own character and this one certainly has that. Will definately be repeat patron.

There arent many restaurants in St Helena Bay. De Palms serves good food and service is friendly No views and decor is pleasant. There is a noisy pub next door but not in a disturbing way. They are licensed - corkage was reasonable. Strange that prawns were fresh water but it was tasty. The winning dish is the lamb curry with butter beans.

We just had lunch at De palm restaurant. We had the fresh hake. The fish was excellent. So fresh and a very big portion. We were very impressed with the knife and fork sealed in a plastic bag. The service was great. This will be our fish restaurant when in Brittania Bay again.

Do not be fooled by the size of this place, it is absolutely the best food that I have ever had in a resturaunt.I do not usually give 5 stars for any place, but the food here is an absolute winner compared to food I have had all over South Africa and even abroad of the same type.The sauce made for the mussels are something special and when the bone of the ribs are pulled on, it comes clean off. The fish is made to perfection and it will be difficult to find a rival to their dish.As far as the food itself is concerned, I could not have asked for anything better. The staff were on their toes the whole time and they were friendly as well.I wish for this place to grow with the exact same dishes and methods they use to prepare their food with so that they can become well known past the walls of the West Coast Peninsula.

Super sea view. You can sit inside or outside the restaurant. The food is really tasty and well priced. I love the crisp linen tablecloths and serviettes and the staff is really friendly. Excellent service. The restaurant has been made bigger to host Weddings, baby showers, birthdays etc. Well worth a visit to De Palm restaurant in St Helena Bay just remember to book.

The waitress Robyn was very friendly and helpful.The restaurant is comfortable and the decor is pleasant to the eye.My wife and I tried the poppers as a starter. The blue cheese and blue cheese and biltong poppers are awesome. The sun dried popper is more of what must be an acquired taste. We didnt enjoy it.The pizza my wife ordered was awesome and tasty.I ordered the ribs after being told it was probably the tastiest meal on the menu by Robyn. The ribs are tender I will say that and the chips are crisp, but that is where the praise must end. The ribs were bland and had almost no flavour. They would not hold up to any ribs served in the restaurants I have been to in Cape Town.IF I go back I wont try the ribs again. The chef did come out and offer us coffee or something in way of apology, but we were still expected to pay full price for the ribs despite me only eating half and not wanting to eat the rest as they were truly not enjoyable.

2020 was bad for many things but has been good for The Palm . The food quality and presentation and great portions will satisfy anyone. The restaurants ambiance is warm and casual. Great staff, well trained and attentive service. The ladies running the place really take their job at heart and it shows !The Mussel in cream sauce appetiser with cute little bread stick is so good and so creamy and buttery, it should be illegal 😉🤣🤣😅 the Pork ribs and calamari is a must try !

We eat here at least once a week and it is absolutely overflowing with great food and service. The food is fall-off-the-bone delicious. Have had almost everything on the menu and has never been disappointed! Best restaurant! Eat your heart out!!!
