Was there yesterday, music and food were amazing but I was not happy with the service we got.. our waitress was all over the place and in some instances we had to get up and get her to attend us. The price on the menu did not correspond with the bill. Had to pay more than what we anticipated. Please address this as Im not happy

Food is average, vibes are great especially if you are sitting downstairs, service is sometimes slow but it could be because it was packed

Great mojitos (both alcoholic and non alcoholic) and atmosphere! Its a great place for lunch dates and dinner dates with friends. Limited menu but its a great place to visit. Its next door the Nelson Mandela house.

We had lunch here. The tripe which was average but the service was poor. We were left alone for 45 minutes while waiting for the food. Even after serving us the waiter never came to check if we needed anything else. We eventually found them downstairs and requested out bill. So disappointed because I actually think the place has so much potential

Late lunch we had me and my sister. The food was just amazing, loved the beautiful friendly service we received from the waiter.The music was too loud the music was so loud that me and sister couldnt even talk to each other or hear ourselves talk

Had a great experience. Service was excellent. The waitress that was assigned to our table was very professional and kind.

Has a great vibe but was slightly disappointed with their food. Had tripe and samp and I dont think it was their best day in the kitchen. Couldnt taste the tripe itself, they used way too many spices and the samp had that smoky smell like it was burned. Drinks were amazing though and the music was great.

Good ambience, service, clean. Delicious food, well presented. Ill go back any day. Just one thing Vuyo. They must always put table cloths. It was my 2nd time. First time there were table cloths. The toilets also were not as clean as the last time I was there. Please dont drop your service. These can be minor but they mean a lot to some of us.

Wonderful place to chill and relax either with friends or significant other. Vuyos is based in the heart of Soweto and one of the most iconic roads in Soweto Vilakazi Street where our former great leader Mr Nelson Mandelas house is situated and so if you dont know it, come and check it out! You wont be disappointed.

Tried my second local meal here; Mogodu with dumpling. Loved it! Recommend you sit outside on the terrace, to catch a glimpse of Sowetos night view. And try my new favourite beer, black label; refreshing taste.

The last time I was there, I was 9 months pregnant and they accommodated me 100%. I was amazed at their hospitality and the food is amazing... Great place with great atmosphere. Fresh and in-season food, all is up.

Had a lovely experience. Food prices at a slight premium but almost want to say worth it. All dishes were well prepared and thoroughly enjoyed. Would definitely recommend to others and consider going again when in the area. The chef even prepared something special for a birthday girl. Only complaint was some plates that was not properly cleaned /washes before being brought to our table.

The food tastes average, the presentation of the food is nothing spectacular, for the price we paid, we expected a colourful plate with some class, however, we only got a bare minimum. We waited 20min from the moment we arrived at the restaurant, and we had to ask a passing waiter to give us the menus. We then waited an additional 30+min for the food.

Vilakazi STR always a nice hangout in the kasi. The place did not have much wine or whiskey variety but the crowd and service made up for the lack.

My friend ordered hot chocolate and she was told that hot beverages were not available but a few minutes later we saw one of the other waiters making herself some tea and she drank it behind a counter in the front of the restaurant. We ordered chips and wings and the chips were not cooked properly, we ordered extra chips and they too were not cooked properly but they were burnt... First impression, I am not happy with this place...

Did not like the taste of the meal I ordered..it lacked vava voom... I had a better experience when this eatery was in Braamfontein

Nice and small restaurant in the midst of Soweto city near the Mandela House museum. The cake we ordered was yummy. Quite a lively restaurant infact.

Service is the best

When we called to make a booking a week before, we were told first come first serve for that particular Saturday because it was the derby. On arrival we couldnt sit where we wanted because it was reserved. The waiter we had, was busy elsewhere and forgot about us and sometimes forgot our drinks orders. We ordered the platter for four. The meat was enough but not that tasty. The chips were far too little for four to share. Management compensated by offering a better seating, way after we finished our meal. Overall I expected a lot but didnt get half of it. Not happy.

This Place is very Outstanding and they serve very nice foods and drinks. Their platters are very nice and reasonable. The waiters are a bit slow, i thnk they should change how waiters are allocated to customers, because u will only get one chance with the waiter and thats all.

Lovely haven in Soweto with a great view of Johannesburg skyline. The South African traditional dished with a modern twist are just as tantalising. The service is excellent!

A nice place to chill

Food standard is dropping so much ,the dumblings I had today were dry and tasteless. In my lamb curry I found a match stick which just spoiled my lunch. The place is nice and chilled .just please revisit your menu ,hygiene and quick customer service

The staff are very slow. It took 20 minutes to get a menu, 30 minutes to get service and the place was empty! There was only one other table that was occupied. The food is unnecessarily overpriced, some items on the menu are no longer available and they dont even serve coffee. The place was a great idea but the staff are terrible and just ruin it.
