So I went to Native Rebels on Saturday afternoon for lunch with a friend. The place is quite adorable and pleasantly strange. Upon entry at around 11h30am they were still cleaning from the night before, pretty late to be cleaning but soldiered on.Customer service is great, very friendly, and polite and and quick to answer all questions about their menu.Food for me was unpleasurable, I ordered panko-crumbed chicken strips with a salad and fries. The seasoning on the chicken was poor, they used old oil to fry the chicken strips that you could taste it. Fries were to salty and quite soggy with the stench of reused oil. Salad was appealing to look at but not quite nice on the tasting side. Their dressing was horrid but the veggies were quite fresh. The one thing I enjoyed thoroughly was their Berry smoothies there I have no complaints at all. All in all Id go again to see if they improve but I wouldnt suggest it for a first time eating out experience in soweto.They probably had an off day so Im willing to go there again and see if they can surprise me for the better.Pictures are what I ordered whilst there.

Great place to hangout, I enjoy the vibe & the food is always delicious.However Im unhappy with their service; they get orders wrong, they dont communicate glitches they have, keeping you waiting for a very long time without an explanation. Other than that, its cool

Im disappointed, the food was cold, ordered a latte it was cold as well. The music was great though, the place needs some improvements, the service was slow as well some of the items on the menu were not available 😑Please consider a microwave cos cold coffee and cold food is not nice for everyone

Theyre food is absolutely amazing. I had one of their smash burgers. So so nice. The only problem with this establishment is the service and waiting a lengthy time to get your food is the downside. Even the waiters attend to you and rarely check up on you.. mind you it wasnt even packed

I waited 2 hours for my fish, that I was told is on the grill only for the waitress to come back and tell its only being de frosted now. The vibe is unique but service has been consistently below par its always such a huge wait for your food. The kitchen is not very prepared. They dont plan ahead

The service was poor, i waited more than 2 hours to receive my delivery from this restuarant. No follow-ups or to make alternatives to make sure the food and the customer is satisfied. Definitely not ordering from you guys again....ridiculous.

We got there around 14:30 to find something to eat,while waiting for our food at 15:00 we were told that they have an event that should have started at 13:00 and that we needed to pay R100 or take takeaways 😕 we were looking forward to eating but we had to cancel our order and go find another spot to eat.
