Food not nice, quality has dropped. Meat and ribs not tender, curries not good just sauce poured over meat. Portions and the price for take aways ridiculous.

Beautiful restaurant with such an amazingly view of the beach front. Staff are extremely friendly. Meals are priced well and are extremely affordable. Had a good atmosphere and is covid friendly. Staff wear thier mask and sanitizie regularly. All customers hands are sanitized as they enter the restaurant as well as the tables when they are seated.

Great views and perfect venue. Sadly the food was just okay.. this was our second visit and we were underwhelmed. Poor range of wine to choose from. A hot sauce condiment was R20 which should have been on the table anyway especially as the food and portion size is definitely not worth the price.

I feel robbed by this Restaurant. We ordered 2 half bunny chows at R125 EACH. We were not satisfied with the order. There was a large table so we didnt want to create a scene for them . I called back the next day and the same manager on duty promised to call me back. That was 3 days ago. Im still waiting. To pay R125 for what clearly was only a 1/4 bunny chow is highway robbery. Definitely wont be recommending them to anyone.

Our waitress Dorothy was absolutely amazing! So switched on, friendly and accommodating. She made us feel so at home and like family. Service was exceptional and quick. Food was scrumptious and amazing value for money. Highly recommended breakfasts. Thank you Vertigo’s.

What a bad experience we had here. Service totally unacceptable and we couldnt even get what we ordered waiter wrote down everything and even only brought 1 thing. Food was terrible. Not sure if they had a huge afternoon lunch rush off the beach and should have closed for the evening to replenish stocks and rest the waiters. Wow cannot explain but will.never go back

Best restaurant by far. The food is amazing, we had a 3 course dinner for Valentines day and every single course was absolutely heavenly! Staff are friendly and the service is super fast, will definitely recommend it and will be making a point of it to visit as often as we can. View of the beach is a bonus, but the food and attention to detail really is out of this world.

Not much choice on the beach front but definitely the better option. Sitting in the deck was windy but an awesome view. Waiters are very attentive and friendly. Food average but tasty. Burger was the better option over pasta or nachos.

Waited more than an hour for a cold chicken burger and chips, dirty cutlery and a wet table cloth....to busy serving drinks at the pub. Wont be seeing me again!!!!!!@

Had the vertigos breakfast absolute value for money and portion size is great. The view from the deck tables has to make this one of the most amazing breakfast experiences around . milkshakes are really good too . My only disappointment was I never enough battery power to take a photo to show you all . My suggestion is go experience it for yourselves .

Very friendly staff

Went to have a meal and a few drinks on the 27th Dec 2020. Deck was not to busy but service was shocking waited and waited for someone to serve us at a table that had not been cleaned. Waitress acknowledged us but never returned to us so we went next door. Rubbish service given as a local wo t go back again.

This place is good. Theres a lot of growth potential, especially its being on the beach. They must try to enhance their food menu to have a variety of food like the former occupants FatBoys and Wimpey.

Prawns where not cleaned properly some where over cooked and some where under cooked, chicken and rice where extremely dry.All in all was worth a try but definitely will not be going back.Good views and general setup of the restaurant but the kitchen let it down.

The sea view is priceless. Ample parking. Very tasty meals at extremely affordable prices. Lovely clean restroom. Very friendly, accommodating and welcoming staff.

Worst restaurant weve ever visited. We didnt even stay for the food. We went to John Dorys to eat at afterwards because atleast they have better tasting things and friendlier staff. There are no drink menus. We had to ask the waitress what there is to drink and even she couldnt name all the things. The coffee was horrible and the milkshakes had a sandy texture to them. The syrup wasnt evenly spread in the glass there was only a little bit at the bottom. There is no whipped cream on top. The chocolate shavings that are supposed to be on top are all at the bottom of the glass. One coffee was basically taken away before it was even finished.

Staff is friendly and the view over the beach is a plus. Food is fairly tasty and reasonably priced, but it takes forever to get to you. Customer training for staff could be beneficial for Vertigos.

Generally good, curries excellent but calamari main dish was completely inadequate and small. I would hate to see the size of the calamari starter!

I enjoyed Thursday. Friday. Even Saturday. But Sunday they decided to have some woman wail into a microphone - this forced me to go to John Dorys. I come to the beach to hear the ocean - not cats on heat on a microphone!

A little pricey but the view makes it worthy.Especially their pasta dishes, orgasmic. Their prawns are to die for and their burgers, beautifully presented with decent size potato chips are delicious enough to make you want another.Depending on the server, you will receive good service.During the day that is.Although Friday and Saturday nights, the music that is played by the DJ, is very loud and not tasteful at all as it is catered to the African culture. And I really do wish for more international music to be played.

3 slice toasted sandwiches looked good but despite saying all brown bread 2 out of 3 were soggy white bread, tasteless cheese and hint of bacon, chips were great. No customers but still took ages for 3 toasted sandwiches. Nothing to rave about. Burgers at other tables were huge and looked good.

Service is pathetic. I ordered at least a month ahead for a function and waited 3 hours after they started serving for my order to arrive. I had ordered a salad.

If you are looking for an awesome toasted sandwich, you have to have the mutton curry one - insane. We have also had other food off their menu which is cooked well too. Service is friendly and all while sitting there watching the sea.

Arrived and after spending 20 minutes on menu made choice - only to be told only breakfast. Rest of menu after 11am. Scotty breakfast. Ordered soft yellow hard white eggs - white raw. Hamburger patty -home made. Rock hard outside (need a jack hammer to cut), and raw mince inside. Flavour - not much. Had to ask for toast which did not arrive with food. Deck floor not clean but tables ok and service fast with a smile. Awesome views. Will try again after 11am.

Friendly service and nice food

I ordered a cocktail that took 20 minutes to arrive. When I asked for the wi-fi details the waitress never followed up, even though I asked repeatedly. When I was approached my another employee who asked me how my experience was going, I replied not so great and he proceeded to laugh and simply respond with an ‘okay’. I was also charged 20% more on a cocktail after verifying the price prior to purchase. The waitress seems to think it isn’t her problem if they haven’t updated the prices. Would not be returning to a place like this ever again.
