We have been around town during our week long holiday, but this restaurant is the best by far! Our waiter Trevor was so friendly and super helpful with suggestions from the menu. The manager Johan was at our table more than once to check if we are satisfied. The food and drinks were out of this world. If you are in town be sure to stop by the Bell & Anchor first because you will want to be back for more!

The Bell and Anchor is a hidden gem on the Scottsburg beach front. The food and drinks were outstanding. The waiting staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu items. Cocktails and shooters menu is well worth exploring. Very well done to the management, chefs and waiters.

Was here on womens day weekend - just over 2 weeks ago - and I still have that lovely beef fillet on my mind! Succulent, perfectly cooked and absolutely tasty! I ordered a sauce to go with it and didnt even touch it. All other foods ordered were on par. Excellent food is complimented by the outstanding service! Decor and setting of the restaurant is perfect; its fine and not pretentious and its right by the beach. Secure parking is available. Did I mention how lovely my piece of beef was?

Food is good value for money. My family enjoyed their meal and my own food was very nice and reasonable portion. Friendly service and food didnt take long to be served.

What a great place. Awesome atmosphere to enjoy a seaside dinner.If you need a refreshment, the Rock shandy is super tasty and fresh with a real cool look...You would really need to go experience the Bell and Anchor your self...One more spoil tho is their peanut butter milkshake... Absolutely brilliant aswell almost a meal on its own.

Don’t really know how to say this without sounding snobbish! I was very surprised by this place! We sat down not expecting much but must say they over delivered with the food! Sushi was great fish and chips perfect, I threw a spanner ordering a bowl of chips with cheesy chicken & jalapeño, all were tops!The attached bar was funky and inviting, definitely would have headed in if I was with mates later in the day! Service was good!

Lovely decor. Unfortunately, did not have many items on the menu. I checked the menu online which indicated that there were daily specials, on site they said that it was an outdated online menu. Although the staff were friendly, they were inattentive and very slow. Food was average, except for a great fillet.

We have been visiting the Bell & Anchor long before it moved locations from its old home in Rocky Bay. Throughout the years the company has had the same kitchen staff! And OMW can they cook! Please make a turn and give Bell and Anchor a try if you are in the Scottburgh region and are looking for a real decent and beautifully decorated restaurant with the best hosts/owners who really know how to spoil their guests.

Friendly owners with a personal touch and treat everyone so special. Food was very very good. The wings and Cheese prawn pot is highly recommended.

Enjoyed my experience at Bell and Anchor, the calamari was done well and so were the chips....only downside for me was the cat that casually walked around during my meal inside the restaurant and under the patrons tables....

I cannot fault our outing to Bell & Anchor. Our waitress was very pleasant and the management was on the floor making sure all was well. The owner came to our table and introduced herself and chatted a bit. The food was great and more than we could eat. A very pleasant evening out.

Although it could also be that the produce was either bad to begin or stored incorrectly. Half the prawns were soggy and some were under cooked. Eating prawns almost weekly, I do know what is good and what is bad.The UGLY !The prawn curry was just AWEFUL and made both of us feel sick after. A truly terrible meal.The ConclusionAlmost a week has past and I thought carefully before taking the time and effort to write this feedback. Let us see what response the owners / management offer.

I really enjoyed the venue.The manager receives all patrons, takes temperatures, applies hand sanitizer and ensures that the visitors register is completed for all guests.Good spacing between the tables. While making optimal use of the floor space, I still felt comfortable removing my mask to eat and we could have a private conversation.I think its one of the better restaurants in Scottburgh. Pricing also fair, slightly higher than the average South coast restaurant - but, as Ive hopefully pointed out by now, I feel this is justified.I had a blue cheese and jalapeño burger and it was crazy awesome. Generally the peppers would be overwhelming, but they do it right. I dont know if its the cheese base of the sauce, but that fiercely hot pepper was subdued and it was still full one flavour. I will be planting jalapeños in the new year, because of this experience.Inputs to the kitchen: I would almost advise using a teaspoon less sauce - just to keep the burger a bit firmer, but then again I also like the statement of not being skimpy on the sauce!

We looked forward to having lunch there for the first time in ages, but were disappointed with both of our meals. The batter on the fish wasnt good and it was dry. Such a shame. It used to be a good place for a meal.

Prawn hot pot, was delicious and the prawns seemed bottomless. Setting was authentic. Cocktails though were a mistake never to be repeated. Suggestion, waiters should try more of the items off the menu so when asked for an opinion are able to give a realistic one rather than, I dont know, I never tried it ...

Great service, as well as good food and drinks.Some of the best prawns/hake/calamari I have had in South-Coast Durban.Being a Joburger and having these fresh prawns was a great experience, one of the better restaurants in the Scottsburgh area.Would highly recommend a pairing of the Prawns with a good beer and Don Pedro to top it off.

A bit disappoint as I ordered my husband (his favorite burger which he raves about) and my dad the mozam burger for a fathers day treat, it was nothing like the others weve had before, there was none of the usual sweet sauce and no onion rings! The burgers before oozed sauce but this time there was hardly any, it just wasnt the same and my dad wasnt that impressed as we painted this colorful picture of this amazing burger but he said it was nice but average, just very disappointed as we dont often have take outs.

Softest best hake on the planet. Have it grilled here. Calamari so soft you almost cant pick it up with your fork. Definitely worth it. Jessica delivered exceptional and entertaining service.

Waitress unfriendly,unwelcoming however the next door owner who could be the owner of this as well was very kind and offered us to sit in his lounge area while we waited for our takeaways. Food okay but did jot offer any sauces or serviettes.

Nice location overlooking the ocean , good menu selection of traditional fare. Preferred the old site for interior old school however this location easily accessible and good views.
