What an awesome layout. The greens are immaculate, the fairways are the same. Unfortunately its a fairly new estate so is a lot of building and traffic. When established it will be one of the better courses to book a round at.

We went for a bachelor party there last week and it was absolutely superb. The owner was incredibly hospitable and couldnt do more for us to ensure that we had a great time. Well done and will be back for sure!

Great course. Quite challenging. The club house is good and has a great atmosphere which is unfortunatly missing from a number of clubs lately. Well done to the Heron Banks team. Keep up the good work.

Really lovely track with greens which suit me to the tee! Was a great few hours. Off course facilities are congenial and make for a lovely post round chat and laugh. Course well maintained and the use of the river makes it a good challenge! Suppose in time the parking will be paved, tarred or upgraded. Little gem!

Greens were in a decent condition. Excellent playing. We had a lot of fun viewing deer, birds and ducks.

Went with friends for a social round. Was great. Pro shop staff were wonderful. The green fees are so reasonable. Check in was a breeze. The golf course itself is decent. The greens are great. But tee boxes and fairways are not manicured. The halfway house was not organized and didn’t have much to offer.A great place to play golf and have fun. Not a championship course though.

I wont argue that the course is in a sense very pretty. It is a difficult course, especially if you miss it right then you are in trouble. The course does not reward good shots and is there is no forgiveness on bad shots. It has to be perfect every shot. The pro shop staff is not friendly either.

Rubbish golf course would rather play at emfuleni or any other golf course in the area its a dead golf course..!!!

Golf course is challenging

I have only been at Heron Banks Golf Course once. Will definitely go again as my hubby & daughter are golfers. It is pretty new as far as golf courses go. They have a beautifully kept driving range too. The golf course is combined with a housing estate. Pretty upper class with Beautiful surroundings and a quiet vicinity.

Still feels like a young course needs some atmosphere?

Played with the Sages golfers and enjoyed myself. Course is challenging with all that water around, but not I playable.

This is a really great golf course. The two nines are very different which makes it interesting. The fairways and greens are in great shape. Awesome driving range... Bar and food service needs some attention. On the down side I went to play golf on a Sunday special that they have. The people in front of me paid R100.00 for the round while I paid R150.00. Didnt understand why. Then on another Sunday I was told it R125.00. I wish that this gets sorted out.Overall its highly recommended

Lovely parkrun every Saturday. People friendly, estate clean and Mother Nature gorgeous as usual. Come for a walk with family or friends or even mans best friend.

Great 18 hole Danie Obenmeyer design. Plenty of river front and contrasting natural vegatation styles. Friendly club house staff and a pleasant golfing experience.

By the far the nicest estate at the Vaal. We have spent many happy wknds there and its been fun to ride around on the gold cart or get on the jet-skis and have a jol. Also it feels like you’re in a game farm with all the wildlife running around.. we will miss spending time there as its a sanctuary.

The park run on Saturdays is great! Enjoy fresh air and run longside the river for a change of scenery. It is a place that is well kept and it feels nice to be there. It is a great golfcourse to have a day with the boys.

Beautiful golf course, offers excellent bird life near the Vaal River. The bar and clubhouse is beautiful and offers good service and good food.
