A great location for dinning in the centre of Sandton, Johannesburg litter with restaurants and hotels. Great place to enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner or supper with a plethora of outlets to choose from. I have no hesitation in rating this location 5 star.

This is the best place in Sandton & I would say one of the safest places around. I used to visit here daily after office hours & it was relaxing. I did find many kids & people playing around the Fountain ⛲. The fountain is the main attraction here, it keeps on changing colours & structure, its cool but you must not stand-in between otherwise you will get wet.

A very interesting interactive Mandela experiance has been incorporated into the square with scanable tiles on the floor that enable one to link to information and AV files through their phones.

Centralised and spacious. A good place for shopping and hanging out with friends or family over a cup of coffee or good South African food. Bustling with tourists. Connected to a shopping hub, its a good place to visit when in Sandton city .

Love the restaurants at the square I do wish they can reopen the theater though, but love exploring the restaurants

It is mostly a shopping experience for the serious shoppers, however they have also created one of the best spots to honor Nelson Mandela. The huge statue towers over the square and offer an honor richly deserved. It provides a symbol of unity, however also a reminder that the riches display in a few kilometer radius is not shared between the masses of South Africa. There is a massive under utilized library on the square next to Hard Rock Cafe. There are numerous top restaurants to choose from overlooking the square. Sandton Shopping Centre is adjacent to the square which offer a prime shopping experience. So go out and take a selfie in front of the statue or learn from the history of one of the greatest sons of the soil of Africa.

The court yard that is outlines with restaurants is just perfect. Loved the fact that the place is neat and secured

Neat, lovely, and best place I ever visited. I loved at most the fact that they have special toilets for people with kids, neat spaces to put the babies on, and change their nappies. It is so much lovely to be there😍

The Famous Nelson Mandela square.. but it doesnt offer much really. Great for taking pictures next to the huge status otherwise theres nothing else exciting

Nelson Mandela Square interlinks with Sandton city via a bridge. The Square is a tourist attraction which is home to the famous bronze statue of Nelson Mandela. Both Malls comply with international standards and its is relatively very safe.

Unique enough to still stay the leader of the class. All the brands, all the luxury brands that you could hope for here in South Africa, all under one huge roof. Well located, access to lots of hotels, Gautrain close by. A number of great restaurants as well as a bunch of affordable eateries. Lots of parking available, very high parking charges.

Wonderful place with a variety of restaurants blessed with good views of the Sandton hub and easy access to Sandtoon City and Michelangelo towers.

Luxury at its best. An upmarket place located conveniently closer to taxi rank, Gautrain Bus stop and station. Uber rides are always at your convenience. With loads of shops to go around. What your heart desires gets at these premises

Nelson Mandela Square is always a good place to be any time of the day or month. The restaurants are top notch the merchandise in the shops is first class. For some reason every around there looks happy. But it sometimes becomes crowded a little bit which of course is good for the shop owners.

You havent been to South Africa 🇿🇦 until You get to the Nelson Mandela Square!6 metres Status of Mandela, open space!I love 💕the Bridge that crosses to Sandton Conversion Centre, its more beautiful at Night.Sometime I just visit to make friends with tourists, theres always someone from overseas!

The library was the main attraction for me, but what really made a difference was that there is so much to offer, theres a wide variety of restaurants to choose from especially after coming out of lockdown level 3.

Forever one of my places to be. Lots of great restaurants, the statue of Madiba and the nostalgia of having spent a lot of time here growing up. It really has a special feel if youre a local to the area and also a great square with many options to choose from to go and eat and enjoy the heart of Sandton.

Great shopping complex in the heart of Sandton that offers a wide array of designer shops and boutique restaurants. Well worth a visit.

You cant be in Sandton minus visiting the Mandela Square. Has good restaurants, hotels and beautiful buildings if youre into that. Theres taxis available right opposite the signature hotel so if you decide to order an Uber please exercise caution.

Still less people around and shopping is good.

Highly recommended to come visit. An absolute must see in Sandton with plenty of great restaurants to choose from. Butchers grill highly recommended for great meat and Hard Rock Cafe for a great party vibe.

Nelson Mandela Square is always a very pleasant spot in Sandton to visit. Also the space is not too packed and the restaurants are stunning. Convenient parking off Maude Street at The Michaelangelo.

The atmosphere here, especially at night is always fantastic. Some really great restaurant options and the water feature for kids to play in on hot afternoons and evenings keeps them well occupied and entertained. Its a rather upmarket location so dont expect to dine on the cheap here, thats what the food court is for inside the mall. The Nelson Mandela statue provides plenty photo opportunities for locals and tourists who always indulge themselves, so if youre looking for photo opportunities - thats a good start in this location.

Finding the right parking to exact part of the square always a nightmare.

It feels unsafe. The parking bays were full and not sure what the mall max COViD -19 regulation numbers should be.But definitely when numbers are climbing there should be more done to monitor numbers.

Pass by the late Nelson Mandela square... Its historic, its beautiful and its a wonderful tourist destination. The Mandela statue is the main attraction and now they added 100 years of the Mandela legacy... So amazing. I took my dad there and he was stunned-youd swear he wasnt born in SA. Its really nice to see the place and you can grab a bite while admiring the tall Mandela statue.
