They are refusing to reimburse my mother for payments she had to make, after they assured her that they would refund her after she made payments to the hospital. Now after hordes of emails and phone calls they just informed her that they would NOT be refunding her. Not a reliable gap cover, use someone else. Claim Number 2021/038848

Turns out that our medical aid didnt live up to its promises. Even so, Ambledown stood by its GAP cover and effortlessly took care of things for us.

Happy to take your money but do everything in their power to slow the process of reimbursement. Not only that but they refuse to answer emails regarding your queries so you can inform the Doctors accordingly. I would say avoid, but Im sure other options are just the same.

Wish i could give them a zero. They took my money for 2 year then when you claim they dont give feedback. Canceling my policy and taking gap cover with discovery.

Very poor service when it comes to receiving payment for a claim. We claimed early December it is now mid January and have no idea how long we still have to wait. They do not communicate it is always us the customer who has to follow up a week later and then were told it is in some department or other getting actioned but payment doesnt happen. Im with Ambledown as it is company subsidised, if it was my choice I would not be using them.

I wish I could give this company minus 10 stars for the poor service. They should have processed my claim and finalised payment within 10 days but it is over a month and i keep getting excuses that the Assessor WinnieS is still busy assessing the claim. How long does it take to finalise a claim. Very poor service.

Pathetic customer service. After multiple attempts to liaise with them via email, telecom and Facebook. They send you more messages requesting to know what the nature of your enquiry is. Ive paid m premiums for years, having never made a unti now and only to receive such disappointing service. It is not surprising they have a minus rating on Facebook

I’ve had gap cover through Ambledown for the past 5 years and claimed for the first time a few months ago. Ambledown sent me a statement confirming payment, but I didn’t receive a cent from them. After 3 calls logging my complaint it was discovered that my claim was paid into the wrong account...even though Ambledown has never got my details wrong for deducting their monthly installment for 5 years. Strange. Every time I follow up with regards to my money, I get asked to give them 24 hours. It has now been 3 calls and longer than a week and no one can figure out where my money is. How strange for a financial services company...

This is the second time i have had a claim by them and you have to phone and mail and even with following up you still dont get service. My claim is untouched for over 2 months now and i still have not gotten any feedback after 5 mails and 2 phone calls where i spoke to people saying they will sort it out right away.
