I had a fantastic experience with Macworks. They brilliant from start to finish with friendly helpful service. Most they fixed my issue in no time. A 100 times better than what you get from iStore itself. Well gone guys.

UPDATE:--------------If I could change my rating from the original 5 stars to minus 5 stars I would. I see now why they were the cheapest quote. The work done seemed perfect at first, until I noticed glue on the inside of the screen which as only visible in direct sunlight. After dropping the Mac back off at their office they tried for days to fix their mess up and after a few days admitted that they were unable to repair it and would refund me my money. Apparently this Mac repair agent is unable to repair Macs, or wont for some reason.I had to phone back regularly and excuse after excuse followed, including the boss was out of town for a week and nobody else can do the refund. I continued to call back and eventually after many weeks half the amount was refunded and they want the part back (originally they were going to refund, but didnt want the part back seeing they couldnt use it after it had been installed in the machine and could only be used once). I said they were welcome to have the part back as long as they reinstalled my original part. It seems they have thrown the old part away, so cant do that and I will be hearing from their lawyer.Unprofessional is a severe understatement when it comes to how this company is run and I clearly shouldnt have ignored all the bad reviews. Customer service when a company makes a mistake is the best way to rate them and a thus a negative rating would suit them best.To sum up, take your Apple product anywhere else to be repaired.Original review:Great pricing and excellent service! I dont normally do reviews but I make an exception in this case, as the absolute quality to detail and client support that Macworks delivers is unsurpassable. Excellent Customer Service from these guys!I took my damaged iPhone into them one Saturday morning and needed to leave for a trip the following Monday and pleaded with them, they not only stayed open later then their general trading hours but also gave me a free glass screen protector.To top it all off they gentlemen charged me the standard cost even with all the pressure!

By far the worst service I’ve received. I brought my phone in for a fix, paid R2899 (with no complaints). Upon collecting my phone, my phone cover was missing. They promised to look for it and would never get back to me - I’d have to keep following up with them. Finally on one particular day, I spoke to the Manager of the gentleman who had been helping me (turned out he’s apparently also the owner). He apologised and then agreed to reimburse me for my phone cover which cost me quite a lot. He then changed his mind and said that it was actual my own negligence as the contract stipulates that they can’t be held liable. I read through the contract which I had signed and they only indemnify themselves against software and not hardware or accessories.To cut the long story short, they’ve sent me on such a run around, saying they’ll call all the customers to ask them if they have my cover, and when I asked how long they’ll do this for - I was told: “until we find it”.I’ve never in my life met such unprofessional people, and the customer service and treatment is absolutely appalling.I wouldn’t recommend this company to any one.Sad thing is that I’ve seen an alarming amount of complaints on HelloPeter too 👎🏾

My MacBook Pro overheated and I was told by some companies to replace the GPU at a cost ranging between R4,500 and R8,000. I took my MacBook to MacWorks on a Saturday morning. Prince (techie) tested it, opened it up and cleaned out the dust. He was confident that it would no longer overheat.Ive been very happy with my MacBook Pro ever since. Prince (and Macworks) is my go-to guy from hereon for any issue with my MacBook.
