Very nice gym with regards to equipment...Some friendly staff members.Just some important recommendations...1. Just wish that they would dedicate some of our expensive gym membership fees to switching on the air-conditioning system. Gym is stuffy and un-breathable.2. Maybe they should also keep bathrooms open until they actually close and not close them at 8pm.3. They should also open up the studio so that we can use it. We end up doing lunges, pushups etc around more people in the open studio.

I visited the gym with a friend who has a membership and as a member of virgin active I am shocked to see what planet fitness offers for so much less. Seriously considering changing gyms

The gym is super cool with aircons every where nice bath rooms clean and well maintained machines for u to trust a super lounge with a free bitco WiFi

Just day 2 and the gym is clean, neat and well equipped. People at reception are super friendly which cant be said for the rest of the staff. But since we dont go to gym to make friends, my eating remains based on cleanliness, functionality and that it is what you would expect from a gym. Another little snag is they dont have an app and the schedule on the site can be frustrating to work with.

Ranchise Gym facility. Security seems good. Mix use development with office space and Retail. The facility has ample parking and is close to the Wanderers Golf Course. There is a Cafe called Planet Fit Cafe for some post workout meal. Over all a good environment.

I have been paying for Planet Fitness contracts for over twenty years, my last contract was a pensioner contract that has up year on year by 10% , the typical pensioner does not enjoy a year on year increased income . So supplying pensioner benefits that are not sustainable show a lack of genuine interest in pensioner service.Most of us use the gym in the later morning when it is quiet, to do a daily aquarobic lesson in the heated pool.When the gym opened after hard lockdown I requested that my fees be suspended until I could safely return and at least for the duration of the suspended group classes in the pool.My fees were suspended for two months based on my age then recommenced.Each month I phoned and messaged the customer service their reply was pay up first and then we will consider your request!When I phoned the branch manager I was told he would not speak to me unless I visited the gym.The gym facilities are excellent but the customer service is non existent.

Post-lockdown I was a bit skeptical of returning the the gym but after having seen the care and focus on ensuring a clean environment I feel even safer there than at the supermarket. Recently upgraded free weights, WiFi works upstairs again, friendly staff, and a wide range of machines/ equipment. Recommended.

This is my home gym. Good equipment and staff are always friendly. I wish they would open the sauna and steam rooms again. Apart from that they have great provisions in place for COVID and also do a good job in keeping the volume of people down in the gym at one time.

Great experience amidst this COVID war! Sanitizer at every single machine as well as social distance stickers where required.The gym is big and has a pool and a running track so whatever you need or want to do you should find it at this Planet Fitness.

I am disabled and am not able to talk over the phone and this is the only way they are able to communicate with members when trying to cancel contracts. They currently owe me R1200 in payments overcharged which I have been trying to claim since March via email. My contract ended in April and they are still charging me. This is a joke of an organisation. Never join !

Yoh guys. Planet Fitness is like an ex girlfriend you cant get rid of. They will extend your contract without warning and up your fee without communication. STAY FAR AWAY. ITS A TRAP!!!!!!

Posting fake advertisement about joining fees without talking about the « exit fee ». No customer service, no answer to email or phone call (try to find the phone of this facility for instance). Their sales agent are lying and not giving transparency about the cancellation fee. Easy to subscribe, a nightmare to leave even for force majeur reason.

They charge you for a service, even after you cancel the contract. Their debit orders dont stop.Worst experience ever

Its a big gym but a bit out dated, looks a bit like a school gymnasium. But it gets the job done.

Great equipment and very spacious, but the aircons almost never work and there is usually no water at least once a week.

This place is a joke. Wanderers has been YEARS now without working air-conditioning. I have literally seen people collapse from the heat inside this gym. Complete waste of time, go to Virgin. Rosebank and Craighall Planet F gyms have both closed with no replacement.

This is home away from home. The staff are amazing, they are very friendly and helpful. The gym is clean and neat, the pools are heated. The equipment is still very new, theres a running track, a sauna and steamroom. Locker rooms and showers are extremely clean. I love it here.

I cancelled for the end of January but they just closed the ticket and decided not to cancel.And will charge me for one more month.You can have the money! Well done on stealing one extra month after Ive had a 3 year contract.

I have been gyming here for a long time, I even left this gym to find a gym closer to home but I rather travel the distance because I ended up coming back since no gym can ever be compared to this beautiful place, very big, lots of room, machinery and weights to gym, two very well maintained swimming pools... This is my home away from home

Management is completely useless. I had to sign in manually as their automated system wasnt working. Thereafter the visit did not reflect on my Discovery vitality goals, and I had to query this twice with them. The staff member then allocated the wrong date and I missed my Discovery goal. Manager DID SQUAT ALL to fix it, even after I sent numerous queries . Surely a quick e-mail to the scheme on their side to rectify? Or asking too much?

The gym is a great size which means little to no wait for machines. Has a separate ladies only closed area mini gym, which is great for those days where you just dont feel quite that great about being amongst a lot of people. Downside on the pool is the young people who train until 6pm every week day. A lane or two is left open but its not enough. Wish their was at least one day from Monday to Thursday that they didnt train so one could swim in some peace after work.

Very manipulative marketing. Be sure to read the fine print before you sign a contract. For example: they display a beautiful price for which I would definitely sign up. But that price expires after 3 months and then their unbelievably expensive prices kick in. All my friends who had signed up with planet fitness couldnt wait until their contract ended.

New signature gym but not much has changed. AC doesnt work resulting in people having to stand next to fans to cool down. All that money wasted when they dont address the real issues .... Please fix the AC

Very well equipped. You have to pay for parking and here is no free bees like the Centurion branch. Track is very nice though.

My girlfriend asked one of the personal trainers to quickly help het to remove a weight of the machine which was to heavy for her to do on her own. The personal trainer was at the machine next to her and refused and even physically pusher her away and said he is busy with a client. Im not sure if this is normal protocol but I highly dought it🤷🏽‍♂️ I mean you can do it politely...

The aircons NEVER work in summer and it’s been this way for years, there is no natural ventilation and when there are municipal water issues in the area they hardly bother to notify you nor do they make ANY provision for members to have water. Someone will die from hyperthermia or dehydration one day and file a lawsuit and the MAYBE they will fix things.

Great gym however I just wish free parking was extended longer than 30 minutes. Also its a pain to pay R3 for parking everyday, who actually has coins on them in todays age. It would be beneficial for everyone if we had the chance to use our debit cards as a means of payment for parking just how Shopping Centres are doing so today.

I find it very comfortable as it cater the needs of my entire family. I drop my kids in the kids zone while I work-out. Staff are very friendly and you get to use various sessions conducted as per schedule like Yoga, Zumba etc.. enjoy your workout... Only issue .. it is paid parking :(

A place of relaxation

There is a very wide range of gym equipment, water fountains and personal trainers to choose from, and there is always equipment available. The long track is perfect for walking, jogging or sprinting. The swimming pools are perfect for training or relaxing, and the spacious locker room will ensure you always have somewhere to lock your bags. The staff are friendly, and the facilities are always clean.

The coolest gym I have ever seen

The aircon is non-existent in this place - by 8am the heat is already unbearable. With the Rosebank Gym closing, more people are expected to pile in, making it even worse. Planet is a joke - this is has been an ongoing issue for months.
