Amazing ambience, exquisite meals. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

My husband and I celebrated our graduation at Lansers on Main in September and it was fantastic. The place truly lives up to all the great reviews. The staff are friendly and attentive and the food is of the highest quality. Portions are the perfect size and you can see that care has been taken in developing and cooking the dish. We truly were spoiled with a great meal we will never forget!

Owner/chef greeted us, told us specials and checked on us a few more times during the evening. Impeccable service from our waiter, great wine selection, mussels and steak tartare stole the show. Main were also good. Nice ambiance. Need to book as the restaurant gets understandably busy. Will definately be back, we so enjoyed the experience.

It was their monthly wine club meeting when I went. A convivial atmosphere. Barry was very engaging and interactive with everyone. Will try their wine club next month.

Lets start with Service, Sublime, some of the best service one will ever get. From when you walk in till you leave, every staff member is outstanding. Then, bring on the food - Starters were Amazing, simply Amazing (Springbok Carpaccio, Haloumi and Stuffed Calamari - The Winner).Mains, Wow, every meal was just Delicious, well presented and really generous portions too. Definitely real great value for what you pay. Overall, I would absolutely recommend a visit to this restaurant, you certainly will not be disappointed. Well be back for sure..

Understated but excellent. Was a limited selection for Valentines but worked well. From starters to mains and dessert everything was excellent. The owner / head chef was present and making sure all the patrons enjoyed their meal. Definitely plan to visit again during a normal time. Love to try some of the other items on the menu.

The staff are amiable and welcoming. The suggestions of the day had many scrumptious options. The duck livers served with vetkoek were delectable. They have vegan and vegetarian options. Everyone enjoyed the experience and food.

Food was good...but not out of this world.Expected more from our previous visits....which were amazing....Service was great...and always good to have the owner explain the menu personally....a great touch.

Made a booking half an hour b4 getting there. On arrival we were requested our drinks order. Took a while for us to receive our menus.We were happy with our servings and I cannot fault their dishes. Tomatoe tart I highly recommend.Should of been a complimentary accompaniment with the drinks like most upmarket restaurants have.

What an amazing welcome and warm atmosphere. Our waiter Cosmos was the best . Then there is the friendliest ever manager named Ian and the food was amazing the chef that prepared the meal is Lancer Fourie. Thank you for everything we had the best time ever.

Personal dining experience with Lanser. Food is impeccable and service on a next level. Tomato tartlet is n must try. Fine dining of note. Personal one on one service with head chef is extraordinary. Definitely my favorite restaurant in Bryanston.

Wine was excellent but limited food options for Vegans. The food is very basic and no dessert was offered. Even though we booked in advance and informed them that we were vegan, when we arrived we were told that their pizza bases had cheese on it already and were told to order from their 2 pasta options.

Been to Lansers on main Bryanston again today, so Ill let my previous review stay as you need to see the appreciation and the love I have for this place....Staff is really well trained well informed and pays attention to the smallest of detail. YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO GIVE THEM A TRY... This is a real hidden and gem... It is on the first floor .. Not to be mistaken by the small restaurants in the same building that is located on the ground floor... I insist you have to go up the steps or the ramp to the first floor .. You can sit on the balcony or inside.They go absolutely to the extra mile, and doesnt have food sent backs because they listen and ensure full understanding when the order is taken. Tonight I was not too hungry and had the cheese & garlic focaccia that recipe is a true winner with a glass of red wine. You are welcome to have the focaccia with or without cheese. Even the plain focaccia flavor is also impressive... I actually asked a few restaurants just for a focaccia to compare and this is by miles leaping to be the best in Fourways, Kyalami and Bryanston.Older review ..Amazing, tranquil and the food is outstanding!!THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE DESTINATION YOU MUST TRY!I had the chicken and mushroom pasta, and requested to haven it done with Linguine instead of Penne and Noma the waitress was quite attentive, helpful and I was taken care of very well. The pasta is rich and creamy, with succulent flavors and i believe a whole chicken breast was used as it had enough of all ingredients... I took half home. Then came the lemon meringue (I am quite a critic when it comes to dessert), BUT THIS WAS THE BEST I HAD!!Bookings are not essential but recommended. Having a Small function lunch, they will have you in and out in LESS THAN AN HOUR if you just arrange it.Dinner is very relaxed and you will be well entertained and looked after very well, but if you are in a bit of a rush and dont want to just wind down off after work... let the waiters know and they will serve your food quick and off you go

Great atmosphere, really good servers, Lanser is hands on deck. However, for a Vegan there are extremely limited and very basic options (2 pastas, a salad & a flatbread), despite the restaurant coming up as Vegan friendly on searches. The Vegan options also tend to be disappointing. Wish a little bit more effort was made especially since there are a multitude of vegan products easily accessible without needing to go to any great lengths.

Our order:For appetiser— table fave (tomato tart)- carpaccio 5/5 (mature flavour,) - Chenin- tomato tart 5/5 (Delightful and a perfect starter)Mains— table fave (pork belly)- prawn pasta 5/5 (simply delightful)- southern chicken 5/5 (mmmm!)- pork belly 5/5 (wow! Just wow)- porcine risotto 5/5 ——-NB! Very good place to dine excellent food

Stunning pizza. Went for Tuesday night special where you can have every topping you wish for just R80. I just had one off the regular menu and it was awesome. Specials of the day are on offer. Delicious options. We did partake in the dessert option of pavlova with berries and fresh cream. We also shared the Bar One cheesecake which was superb. I would definitely go back. Atmosphere relaxing. Staff superb. Stunning views. Sadly did not take photo of pizza. Should have. Very nice wine selection. Haute Cabriere was icy cold and delish as usual.

Lansers on main is a fantastic restaurant. The food is delectable and very fairly priced. Also they are equipped to handle loadshedding which can turn an evening in the dark into a lovely night out. I would recommend giving Lansers a try.

They do not adhere to basic covid regulations, the gazetted law says restaurant staff must wear masks at all times. Our government has done an amazing job in allowing our economy to open up with minimal but very effective regulations which have been successful in keeping new cases to a minimum. To flout these simple regulations is a slap in the face of the most vulnerable and shows a complete disregard for human life.

Good atmosphere, but the place is quite small and small tables are tiny also, felt very claustraphobic and the pizza dough has a sweet taste instead of savory.

Pork belly was ice cold. They served minced beef stuffed calamari which was awful. Steak tartare has no flavour. Pork belly was icy inside. Owner/chef insisted all was fine and insisted we pay for the dishes although barely eaten and his approach was very rude. Never againReply to Lancers response:Despite the way that you addressed me when it came to the smoking (I would have preferred a polite approach, which one would expect at an upmarket restaurant), I decided to put that aside and enjoy a good evening. I assumed it was a miscommunication despite being surprised at the owner being abrupt with a customer. I was excited to try the food at Lansers and both my partner and I were hungry. The mince in the calamari lacked good flavour and did not complement the calamari. Might I recommend a lemon and dill cream cheese mixed with chopped (not minced) rump. With the steak tartare, the meat was overground and the seasonings provided are not enough for the quantity served. Furthermore, salt, pepper, paprika, anchovies and mustard is almost the bare minimum for this dish. Steak tartare is a favourite dish of mine and I have had it many times. There were no onions or anything to add texture. Despite sending it back I offered to pay for it (most restaurants when seeing someone took 2 bites and sent it back, would have the manager offer to remove it from the bill).The T-bone and the pork belly were delicious. I even stated that I was disappointed because the flavours were great. However both my boyfriend and I felt the pork belly meat about halfway in and it was cold. My mistake perhaps was sending it to the kitchen to be checked instead of insisting that you come to the table to check it infront of me, because after that, despite both my partner and I saying that it was cold, you refused to listen. As a customer I should not have to fight to be heard. I felt that after the smoking issue, you seemed to take every criticism as linked to that, instead of maintaining a professional stance and addressing any issues that arose on an individual basis. The pork belly was cold at its core. And you insisting it was not was you effectively calling me a liar. After that point I had no words. We paid our bill and left.1/4 dishes being perfect is not a good reflection on any restaurant. Having 3/4 dishes be average or below average is not a standard I think you guys are aiming at. But the main concern was the approach. Service is a cornerstone of any good restaurant and I left Lancers feeling insulted and honestly robbed. I hope you take this feedback onboard for others to have a better experience.

What a great dinong experience!

The food was good & some unique dishes

This quaint gem is a must-visit for any self-respecting food lover. From the impeccable service given by the wait staff and manager, to the absolutely scrumptious food served, a trip to Lansers on Main is worth every penny. And with their reasonable prices for such incredible meals, it almost feels unreal. I wasnt able to catch the names of all those who served myself and my date tonight, but I would like to thank the entire staff. Even though this restaurant is a bit out of the way from where I stay, I would definitely make the journey again for this unrivalled experience. One trip to Lansers, and you will have a new go-to restaurant for all occassions.P.S. If you are looking to eat the best fried chicken in Gauteng, their Southern Fried Chicken is a real treat.

Waiters and managers not wearing masks. Upon querying, it is their policy to not wear masks as they test their temperatures multiple times a day. In hospitality its unacceptable to flout regulations and be ignorant of asymptomatic spreaders after 8 months of lockdown.AVOID AT ALL COSTS IF YOU HAVE VULNERABLE FAMILY MEMBERSREPLY: Your response is a clear admission of your anti mask policy. You cannot claim to adhere to policy if you do not wear masks. Your ignorance is putting lives at risk.

We visited this restaurant several months ago and complained to the manager about lack of Covid protocols. Not a single mask in sight. The new customers complaining 4 weeks ago are NOT THE FIRST.Checking temperatures of your staff daily does not prevent the spread. You can still be an asymptomatic carrier.We spoke to the manager as fellow business owners and told him we were uncomfortable and he obviously didn’t care.Avoid this restaurant if you are concerned at all about flattening the curve.

Your food was good. Worth another trip only when you adhere to Covid regulations. No staff were wearing masks... no sanitizer...no temperature taken... not good enough..your staff need protection too. Will be back in a year or too...when you operate with Covid regulations. First restaurant I have been to blatantly flout regulations . Should be shut down.

Impeccable service, delicious food from start to finish, a great corner table allowing for good conversation. A great afternoon...to be repeated.

Great restaurant, great view. Food was excellent and the service was great. The mussels starter was fantastic and I can highly recommend the chocolate fondant for dessert.

What a very pleasant surprise this restaurant was! Tucked away in a funny location, decor a little strange, but for the business end of the lunch it was great. Fresh and creative twists on classic Italian food, delightfully presented, good sized portions. Didn’t try the desserts which in hindsight may have been an error. Maybe the nicest lunch I’ve had in a 10k radius of Fourways. The view is fantastic, as is the service. Wine list a bit limited but doesn’t really suffer for that. Definitely recommended.

Stunning food

We had our dinner club here and the food is delicious! We had the mussels starter, the sauce is great, had the beef ravioli, the best Ive had and my husband had the Porcini Risotto which he highly recommends. Overall everyone enjoyed their meal. Great restaurant!

Wonderful! Enticing combinations on a diverse but focused menu. Reasonably priced, well sized fine dining. Staff are friendly and accomodating (we have a little one). I have been driving past for months meaning to come, I should have popped in sooner.

If you live in JHB you have to try this restaurant!! Nice setting and ambiance BUT the food is the prize. Fish cake and mustard starter is the start of the wonderful taste journey , line fish and kudu mains were excellent. Then the pavlova is out of this world - must have . Delightful neighborhood restaurant. Great service, lovely food and generally not too noisy. Plus they do monthly wine tastings. Try the steak tartare, the salmon pasta and (when available) the chocolate torte. Yum!
