I went to visit the bank today after my account was hacked and all my funds stolen. The team were exceptionally helpful, from the security team that greeted me to the receptionist that served me and then the consultant that patiently assisted me with getting the account secure and setup again. I will definitely be back again.

Very very bad services. They dedicated R145 for new card but i havent RECEIVED it.From tomorrow, it will be my second month without a physical card and no access to cellphone bank.They said it takes about 3 to 7 days for delivery but until today I HAVENT RECEIVED MY CARD. when i get paid i send my self instant money so that i can withdraw and its costing me a lot.Is it possible to close STANDARD BANK account via digital banking

Recently I went to finally close all my accounts with this bank and sadly had to go to this branch. Oh my word... the lady transferred my funds to the incorrect account and I am still waiting for this useless branch to have the audacity to call and give me feedback. And btw this is two weeks ago and I still have not received my money!!! I reckon the branch manager should be disciplined for the poor ratings at this branch...

Went to the bank on a Saturday, which is not ideal, but was pleasantly surprised by the level of service I received. A special shout out to Palesa Serojane who was patient and understanding of the glitches I was experiencing regarding banking matters. It was an absolute pleasure to assisted by such an attentive young lady. Thank you Palesa

The only reason and giving one star is because I can not give 0. Ive been into the bank 3 times now to collect My card. The level of service is beyond shocking. I think its time to close my count with standard bank. You cant even get ahold of The branch on the phone it only goes through to a Central number,this is useless

I have never had such bad service. Standard Bank, I can see why you are closing branches. It has taken an hour at your bank and we have yet to get one item out of the two that we set out to resolve sorted out. People seem very cheerful at your bank but very little seems to get done. I doubt that you will survive given the type of service that we have encountered today.

I have never experienced such terrible service from a bank teller from the way he spoke to the way they handled my situation , I say they because I asked to see a manager the lady that came to assist me was just as rude and lacking customer care . ... I take it she was section manager at the bulk tellers . Its actually reduculas Tshekiso Olifant needs customer service training and his second incharge as well . I left there and went to Fourways mall were I was assisted in less then 20 minutes by the most pleasant teller as iv know standard bank tellers to be.

I came into the Fourways Crossing branch of Standard Bank to upgrade my account. I was informed that the waiting time was between 20 & 30 minutes as there were only two clerks who were assisting customers. Fortunately I had other errands to run that could be completed in the vicinity and I returned 20 minutes later.It took me a further 30 minutes of waiting (at that stage 50 minutes from the time I first walked in) to decide that instead of upgrading my account, I would be closing it. I wonder how much longer it will be before I get to see a clerk to share the good news. What’s your next SBSA? It’s clearly not customer service

Such bad service at this branch. I went from Northgate branch to this one. Only to see it is worse. We are your customers. I read the reviews and I cant believe that you do nothing to change it.NO ONE was at the help counter. There was 1 clerk at Inquiry and over 15 people waiting to be served. Hence the fact I had to leave. No one assisted at all. Unbelievable actually.

Some days are quick some days are quite slow...You find out the the queue is long but only two bankers on the till..My unforgettable experience was when i was on the queue for nearly four hours..Thanks God the Lady was so professional...

On the 20th of December around 15h00, I came here to ask for plastic money bags as I have church coins to bank. I was told to ask them from the tellers and I sat on the queue for about 30 minutes until I decided to give up. It was when I left that the security guard tried to assist me and he found out the plastic bags were out of stock. I didnt expect to queue for plastic bags and I was very disappointed by the poor service. Ive never been satisfied with standard bank service but I thought maybe the service has improved.

I have been struggling to have my online banking setup and working again ever since I received a new card in Nov 2018. I have been to this branch as it is my home branch on more than 5 occasions spending at least 2 hours a time trying to resolve this issue with the call centre and the likes. Everytime i get sent home being told that the matter is resolved. Needless to say that this is still not resolved and has now pushed me to look at an account with other banks. I am really not sure how to rate the service. I am speechless.

Today I waited ONE HOUR 15 MINUTES to open a savings account at Standard Bank Fourways Crossing branch, and finally gave up. When I called for a manager to complain, they said they had only one sales consultant to do opening of accounts - the other position was vacant -and she was busy. (I did see her flitting to and from the customer service desk). No one was monitoring the waiting time of clients so no one came over to explain the long delay and apologise. I left the branch determined to open accounts at another bank and do the switchover. If I could give them minus a star I would. The worst service imaginable!!! And I was not the only customer complaining about the long waits for service.

My account was upgraded, I was called and told that I now have a personal banker - I really have no idea what for, the level of service I receive is still the same. I still have to go through a call centre, I still have to follow up on my emails that I sent, last time I sent an email it took a day and a half for her to return my email and now I sent an email on FRIDAY last week - its now Wednesday - and still no reply.So, was my account upgraded in order for Standard Bank to earn higher fees - because I really cannot tell the difference.Same bad service, just a different dayI have been a customer since I was 17 - 30 years of tolerating bad service - I am OVER IT!!!

If minus zero star existed .that is what I will rate STD Bank Private Banking ..Fourways Crossing...moved from CT last year June, explained the shocking service I received from Private Banking Tygermanor CT to private Banker at 4 ways Crossing...promises to change things ...guess what..same old shocking service if one can call it that..no response to emails..sms..all they want is your monthly fee for zero service. In addition..when you have enough funds circulating...they your best friend however when not they dont want to know you..you mean nothing to them..What a rip off...wonder what they CEO is doing about service.or doesnt he know?

Every time I go to this branch, I storm out in frustration. I needed the service desk today (section at the back with the bar stools). I waited patiently for one hour and had to leave for another appointment. During this time ONE customer was served by ONE service desk operator. Of the 5 Service desks available ONE was open. There were at least 15 people waiting for assistance from either this section or the other assistants in the cubicles down the side (dont know the difference). I spoke with the reception person and he said there was a second person helping - I dont know where.Those working seemed to be working in slow motion - no sense of urgency!What the Bank fails to take note of is that sometimes, customers only have their lunch time to come and sort out issues like the Cleaning lady I was sitting next to, who also left in frustration. A few others also then left.Stagger your staff lunch breaks on the Service Desk so there is more than one open during this busy period. Follow up with the customers you have signed in and let them know what is happening. Talk to them so they dont feel dumped on the chairs and forgotten, especially when you help customers who arrive after them. Communication is such a magical tool!I have no problem waiting my turn but really Fourways, monitor the amount of customers waiting and make an effort to accommodate them as quickly as possible, especially if one customer is taking a really long time. Communicate Communicate Communicate!Thank you.RS

Went in gave all the paper work required sat for an hour and a half only to be told sorry the system is offline we cant register you now we will come drop the forms off for you to sign...Three weeks later im still waiting. I wonder if these reviews are read by Standard bank Fourways crossing Management or not.I recently applied for a business Cheque card which was duly delivered to the branch .when i went to pick up the card it could not be found as the person responsible did not know where he has placed it i was promised a call its is and should the card be found its been 48hrs with no call or card ??
