Terrible service from DeLonghi. It took 3 calls to get them to email the quote to me, and the call when the quote was read out verbally overcharged by R300. Emailing their service support took ages and then the information wasnt correct. They only seem to have 1 person who is capable of doing anything, so everything is routed to them. Just getting a quote takes 5 - 7 working days, and they dont tell you if your item is repaired unless you contact them. We wont be using DeLonghi service centre ever again.

Extremely poor service. They make promises to call and email you. If you call customer care, then the line will be dropped after holding for 8 minutes. When you call reception, they will tell you that there is only 1 person working in customer service, but is on training. She will still transfer you, even when she knows the person is on training.

I am most disappointed by the level of service offered. I had to wait for over 15min on 2 calls and eventually gave up. This all while trying to get a response on my coffee machine’s problem which I took in 2 weeks ago. This is the agent for reputable brands. Very concerned.

I sent two coffee machines in to be serviced and to replace some missing parts. It has been over two months and I keep being told they are waiting for the parts to arrive. There is zero communication from De Longhi to update me on the progress and I keep getting fed lies about the expected completion time. I will never buy another De Longhi appliance.

Oh Please - can industry employ people that can understand plain English and be able to communicate in the international spoken word would be Great !.To get randomly passed on while on a phone call from person to person is not the way to go - why is this done ?. Service manager and Senior management please ensure staff get telephonic training and reduce back ground noise while the designated agent is on the call - loud chatter as if a Party is on the go !

Be very careful of their coffee machines. After cleaning and putting parts back, they can click into place as if correct but are not, the machine then tears itself apart when you switch it on. And to fix is not cheap, if they are even open or have the spares, got to wait till next year just for spares!

It took DeLonghi 2 months to make an simple repair on my coffee machine. Id call to get updates and staff would have no idea where my machine is. When you call and they dont feel like talking to you, theyll simply pick up the phone and put it back down in your ear. Staff would promise to call you back and wouldnt deliver on that promise. On top of it they charged me a completely unreasonable price. Totalling 2.5 grand, half of the invoice was allocated to a plastic valve. The same amount was charged for an entire new grinder. I strongly advise you take your business elsewhere - avoid their and their subsidiarys products. Their service is by far the worst Ive ever experienced.

Any future Delonghi customers should pray that their appliance never breaks. Getting any form of after sales support and repairs on Delonghi products is pretty much impossible and they couldnt care less about their customers. Its been a week now just to get a quote for repairs on a high-end coffee machine, nevermind the actual time it will take to repair. Absolutely piss poor service and this from their Head Office! Rather buy a different brand! Youve been warned!

My coffee machine has been in for repairs since January. When they gave me the quote,I accepted it but advised I was going overseas and could only collect it on my return in March.In March I came to collect it and the part had not been ordered! They offered to delivered but that is now apparently no longer an option.I went today and called 14 min before to allow them to get it out if the workshop only to be told they are closed and nobody had taken it out, the implication was I did not request the persons name who I spoke to.The most rediculous business hours for after sales service.I will, on principle, never buy another delongi appliance ever!

Have numerous models of the Prima Dona coffee units. Mine mysteriously stopped working and the technical division merely stated that our unit had made 36,000 cups of coffee and numerous spares had to be replaced. My wife and I live alone as two pensioners yet the factory was adamant that I pay R3, 150 for this service. Bearing in mind a brand new unit costs R9, 000 means the service actually cost me more than a new product. Actually shocking and it seems a person should test the market for alternatives. This experience has taught me to seriously search for alternatives. A minute shadow of the company it once was.
