Bought raw chicken on saturday morning ,its so terrible i dont know if it was prepare for human consumption or what😏it was rotten all 3 trays .

Very happy that the pharmacy opened upinside Checkers again.So convenient getting all your groceries and medicine all in one place.The pharmacists are also very friendly and helpful.

Prices are good, shop is clean, but the staff is extremely unfriendly and not helpful. This changes everything. I rather pay extra to have a good and friendly experience while paying/buying.

A medium to large size Checkers which is usually quite well stocked with a variety of groceries as well as a kitchen aisle. Bakery has great fresh rolls. A smaller fresh produce section with fruit and vegetables. Often a long queue to pay at the tills since the new covid protocols.

Good place to go shopping, not over crowded in the week.

Good variety. Finding parking is a bit difficult during peak hours. Staff could be friendlier.

Most convenient Checkers around here, small enough that you don’t get tired from walking but big enough to find what you want. Better trading hours than the Hyper in Constantia Kloof.

Terrible service you stand and wait for a long time to pay. Options for food are so limited barely get anything healthy. My son had a sandwich from their food section he was so sick for 3 days. The checkers one of the worst I have ever shopped!!!!!

Good store. Love the Toys for the Kids!! I tried buying a simcard a few days ago, and the lady really battled with the RICA process trying to capture all the data, eventually helped but she kept running out of time. ⏰

The store refuses to deal with issues around gift cards or usave vouchers to the extent that they tell customers that they are not used by checkers anymore. Additionally of the 6 staff at the money market / customer service counter on the left as you walk in the door, only 1 actually appears to work, the other were having conversation while at least 4 people were waiting to be attended to.None of the 6 know how to wear a mask properly, all had their noses exposed and one had her mask bunched up, barely covering her mouth.The staff there dont fear Covid 19, nor do they fear spreading it!The only reason for a 1 rating is because I cant rate it a 0

Sometimes the staff is rude and sometime their products is past the sell by date and still being sold but its a clean shopping place. They just need to get a handle on their staff to stop playing and respect the cusgomers

I dont enjoy shopping here as its difficult to find parking close to the entrance. At times the shops very busy and some of the clients dont observe social distancing and mask wearing protocols. Unfortunately the cashiers dont reprimand the uncooperative customers.

Please be careful. My cellphone was nearly stolen out of my jacket pocket, inside the store. The security did very little.

They dont even have shopping baskets so I had to struggle with carrying all of my shopping by hand. Will never shop there again

Last week I went to Checkers to buy something which was not in stock at the time. I asked the butcher, Osborne, if he could let me know when the stock came in. He promised he would and we exchanged phone numbers, but I was sceptical. Imagine my surprise when I received a call from Osborne this afternoon to say that he had put three of these items away for me and that I could collect whenever I wished.I can think of no better way to thank him than to sing his praises to everyone – clearly a man who values service. Many thanks, Osborne!

Trading hours displayed outside the door and on their website states that they open 8am every single day. Arrived there this morning to find a note stuck on the door that they only open at 9am on Wednesdays. Unprofessional and checkers should make more effort to update the hours displayed to the public.

Please stop selling us expired items. On Wednesday the 25th of March at 8:16am I was at your store to buy few items. I decided to buy the ice cap chocmint flavored ice cream topping only to find out today that it expired on 14/12/2019. Why would you have food item(s) on your shelf 3 months after expiry? With the national lock down I didnt even check the expiry date because I was more concerned with getting the items I needed. I will definitely not be coming to your store to return it until the 17 April. I want a refund. Please dont even think of asking me for a receipt when I return it. Please check your stock regularly on the shelf.

This is one of the smaller stores with all the normal groceries and toiletries etc. Easy to get in and out pretty quickly.

Checkers, you seriously need to make a plan with your butchery.Once bitten, twice shy.I have now bought meat from your Allens Nek branch twice that has been off.Last night in particular was springbok.Other than that a great branch but get some quality control going please.

Haven’t been back for months after poor quality and service BUT got nice surprise with full shelves, nice variety, clean and neat store. Unfortunately letdown again with only few cashiers on Saturday morning. Will give them another try.

Cashier and packers talking to one another. Was only greeted when I greeted her the second time. Thanked the packer for her help and was ignored. No offence was taken, just think you need to know.BTW its pretty much the same every time.

I just ordered brocoli and cauliflower and oh my word. what came was boiled vegitables in what I am still trying to figure out as white sauce. Now the flour is sitting on one side and powder (assumed sauce) seeps on the other. Honestly this is distateful. Definitely a white sauce satchet was used by someone doing a rush job. And what happened to the cheese at the top. Do we now just throw things inside?????As a resident staying next to the shop I am grossly disappointed. The kitchen skills need a touch. Your food has one taste,,, horrible. It is a pity that I had to put a star just so that I can post the review. it should be a 0/5

Very straight down the middle rating. Large store with all you can imagine it to have, large cheeses, wines and meat sections. Still very few tellers. Has pancake stand at entrance for fee made treat. Parking is ok, little shade and speed bumps are huge. Staff are friendly but slow.

I love Allensnek. I know all the staff. They helpful and friendly. If I have had a problem its sorted out. Just wish you had shopping points to be earned by regular customers. 5 stars for Allensnek

The car guards are rude and insist on calling regulat customers names and recite their car numberplates and colour. I REALLY find it absolutely inappropriate. It makes the whole shopping experience at the centre distasteful.Please do something about it. I noticed that centre management ignores complaints about the carguards and I am not the only customer who complains about them (carguards). Thanks for ignoring the customers. . You will pay dearly.

Easy accessible large grocery store with everything domestic you might need. Great pre-cooked home meals. Close to equally large hardware and other Saturday shopping stores

****UPDATE****(After sending checkers a direct message on fb messenger. The very next day they had it blocked off in the evening. With a trolley, not one of those big cones! But it was sorted out immediately.)Well done Checkers****UPDATED****Shocking experience each time I go there. IRS SECURITY and IBI security dont run protocol at all.Everytime I go there. The bike parking is taken up by a vehicle. Only To see Both security companies standing around talking. This is always after 18h00. Where security lacks.Everytime I confront the security for this issue they say they just park there but wont listen. Either a cone Needs to be placed there or a stronger more non-tolerant security needs to be placed there.This is becoming an issue because the culprit always throw race into it. Tonight for example... My grandfather stole her land so she can park there if she wants to. It always becomes race issue.Please Checkers and the mentioned security companies, make sure the demarcated parking is used for what its meant and upheld.

Management is really accommodating. Good selection of banting products. Fruit and veg is of good quality. Baking section always smells good and donuts sale on weekends is amazing with a good selection of donuts and very tasty.

Usual Checkers excellent range and prices. Good parking usually available. HOWEVER, access to store is made difficult, if not impossible, by picketing Checkers staff whose protests are loud, unruly and threatening , so make shopping unsafe. When there is no picketing, the shopping experience is completely spoiled by rude, disinterested, unhelpful check-out staff. Staff and management need to resolve these ongoing labour issues. Until that happens, this store should be avoided.

Bakery section not cool at all! Attendant used hand without glove to give me my donuts and to top it off, he had no idea how to work the pricing machine. Even overcharged me for them ! When I confronted him he didnt seem to care

Went specifically to get sardined on special but shelf price was very different- I then checked with a staff member who said not on special. Got home only to confirm that special was due to continue oncl today! Not acceptable- waste of time.
