My colleague bought 4 cakes (2 custard and 2 vanilla) from Bon Appetit in Robertson on Wednesday, 29 September 2021. Upon cutting the cakes, it completely fell apart, you couldnt even get a proper slice out of it. We contacted the business and the lady on the phone said that Bon Appetit cant be blamed for the cake falling apart and still asked if the cake was cut with a knife. How else are you supposed to cut the cake? with a shovel? I dont think that is how you treat customers or potential customer. It is important to remember that negative experiences spread faster than positive ones. I feel the establishment shouldve at least apologised and try and find a way to accommodate their customers, but the situation didnt get the necessary attention or respect, as they already had the money. This is very disappointing. The product and after service was definitely not up to standard. If I could, I wouldnt even give that 1 star. Unfortunately a star is required.
