Potentially a nice stop. Unfortunately despite our servers intentions, the service was quite disappointing. The quality of the food was reasonable, with the great pizzas worth a special shout-out.It is a pity that the animals cannot be viewed via hiking around anymore. It removes a big attraction, leaving only the play area, restaurant and shop (and brewery).
The food was fair , well priced but I had to send mine back as it was not done as ordered. After receiving it back it was still incorrect I did not bother to return it again.
After 10 minutes without seeing a waiter we left. The place looks nice but goodness knows where the staff are.
Always friendly service, lovely bathrooms and delicious toasted sandwiches.Great for the munchkins as well
Very very slow and food was gross. Biggest waste of time and money.
Nice environment for the kids, food was such a disappointment...I was served what seemed like powder eggs.
Very nice stop after the long road. Everything was clean, staff is friendly, the food was very good. Although I think the portions for the price we paid were small. You can walk around in the gardens and the atmosphere is great.
We had a lovely stop and a good break. We recommend them above the more mainstream stops.
Lovely place to stop. Pitty about R100 charge to see the animals. I can understand the cost to feed and look after them. But maybe look at a bit more afordable pricing. R100 is a bit hefty when you are a family of 4. We sit down and have a meal and still to pay another R400 to see the animails, i will walk out there with a bill over 1k. Times are hard at the moment. But must say you have a beautiful place. We have supported you guys since when you only had that little rondavel and a littel shop.
The service was shocking. Extremely slow and unprofessional. The food was average. Wouldn’t recommend it at all. It’s so bad that next time I’d rather get a petrol station pie.
Great place to stop on a long journey. Lovely outdoor playground for kids to play and unique gifts and treats at the shop.
Friendly staff and good food.
A real pleasure to take a walk and a break from the road trip at this venue
I would recommend this place! They went out of their way to help us with our food choices and the food was amazing!! Thank you! We will see you again!
Very nice place enjoy to stop here away from the hustle.Love the omlettes
What an amazing stop....beautiful playground, tasty food and lots of wildlife activity.
Love this stop versus the other on route to the Drakensberg...
Nice and quite rest stop. Quite beautiful. Food is fairly good.
Great food! So fresh, and really tasty.Pity the roof leaked really badly - puddles of water through the restaurant. Service was slow, but friendly. Menu options are quite limited.
Absolutely pathetic service. Music was awful, and even though we were two senior couples, the manager did precious little to assist us. Their menu (a small one, which I dont mind), was devoid of a basic ingredient. The bill was rung up with the excluded item. Watch out! Theyre not as good as they appear to be.
Not very impressed, maybe we got there to early (11:00) although its well set up
I ate the delicious food 😋, the chicken levers 🤩🥰were 👌💋
Amazing gem hidden away
Had a late breakfast in the retaurant, good service, friendly staff and amazing food.
Lovely spot to relax & eat 200km from Joburg. Get quite full, but their servings are worth the wait
The restaurant was average. Service was okay. Did not have waffles and strawberry milkshake even though it was on the menu. The lions, rhino, cheetah, etc was amazing. Will definitely stop over again to see the wildlife.
Why ask such a question??? We loved it good food, value for money. Great place to stop & refresh.
Great food and great service in a lovely African setting - much better than the normal run of the mill take away. Outside you find a playground, wild animals in enclosures, big and beautifully kept grounds to stretch your legs, accommodation. Next door is a pizzaria, wine tasting, a gift shop. Opposite a Sasol garage and the normal services they offer along the highway.
Looks good on the outside but terrible service, bad food. Rather go to a Mugg and Bean or Wimpy. Dont be deceived by entrance and shops..
Terribly terribly overpriced for the portions as well as the food taste. Staff were pretty quick but otherwise wouldn’t be back. Also lots of flies (not their fault but should be noted when sitting outside) rather visit another food place or starve. Would have given one star but had a gin that made me a tad happier
Lovely place, nice food and lots to do, but the slowest service ever.
Poor food, poor service. I thought that they would have improved since the last time we stopped here, 12 months ago. Not at all. Avoid!!
Love the atmosphere and something different from the chock a block petrol stops BUT service is always slow. If youre not in a rush, its a good choice. Limited menu and is quite pricy for breakfast.
This is my hi light of a trip down N3, love the big cats and the building and everything.
Excellent waiter, amazing art, what a gem! Will visit again on my travels.
Very hot but the staff are so sweet.
Lovely light and bright dining area with curio shop. Large grounds and play area for the children.
Lots of interesting thing to buy, food delicious
Poor services and Poor food. Will never stop there again.
Offbeat...brilliant..beautiful art works
Best service n food is wow👌
Terrible experience, We waited almost 40 min for burgers and when it eventually came it was on filthy plates ...oily,greasy and the bottom of the plates was still covered in hardened old food ,absolutely disgusting
Very nice place, with Real lions
Really bad service.
Disappointed
Tasty bite to eat on a long way.
