We enjoyed our visit very much. The rooms are, in spite of Covid-19 measures, very neat and well equipped. The view from our room was the, well-known, Sleeping beauty mountain. However the of the stay was the owner, Annette. What a very passionate person. Thank you very much, we really enjoyed our stay. We would love to recommend Mearant as a very good stay over accommodation.

Beautiful guesthouse with stunning views of the mountains. The owner is extremely friendly. This is the place to go to really get away from it all, I am going back whenever I can.

This is a wonderful stop over between East London & Cape Town . Annette is a wonderful host and always make sure you are comfortable. The rooms are tastefully furnished and spotless. We self catered and there is everything supplied to make a braai fire.Highly recommend Meurant Cottages.

We had a lovely overnight stay at Meurant in Riversdale on 29 December 2017. Our hostess, Anette was most welcoming and accommodating. She not only helped us with a memorable meeting of family, but served the most delicious homemade bread sticks. I can recommend staying here.

Could not ask for better accommodation. Loads of space, clean, beautiful beds amazing pressured shower all at a shockingly low rate. Close to the old jail my favourite Riverdale feature. A well earned 5 stars. Only thing I battled with is being right next to a river the mosquitoes are very hungry.

Best place I have stayed in a long time. Beautifully decorated, clean, affordable, peaceful setting, a very accommodating hostess and a friendly dog to make you feel right at home. Really enjoyed our stay and can recommend it without reservation.

Awesome place to stay

This was undoubtedly the best self catering units I have been to for multiple reasons. Ive made the booking because I just needed a place to sleep for a wedding, but it had to have a pool because of the weather conditions expected and to my surprise Ive booked at the most tranquil with an awesome view and was hosted by the friendliest lady. This place is amazingly clean and the meticulousness goes down to the finest detail, especially the upkeep of the premises and amenities. Saturday I asked if people can just quickly come and meet me and the lady were so nice and said we can use the pool and the braai facilities and they can stay, no terms and conditions. She is always available via whatsapp and goes 10 extra miles to make your stay superb. Unfortunately Ive only used the pool, but I will for sure be back and enjoy the true potential of Meurant and eat again as much of that berries(or whatever it os called). Well done Anette and keep up the good hospitality as this is a recipe for a successful business.
