Firstly it is a beautiful venue for a wedding or a party.Secondly their food are devine. Out of this world!Lastly the staff. My word the are such a lively and spontaneous group. Overfriendly and helpful.I would definitely recommend De Doornkraal

Stayed over on Friday night, wed booked a luxury room (more spacious) but were given a classic room. Asked to do their wine tasting with dinner, were told they only do tastings in the morning. Pleasant stay, good food, secure parking.

We really loved staying at this Hotel. We were only there for one night unfortunately. We had a lovely room , with a whole separate sitting room attached. We were offered a beverage on arrival by the really lovely manager and it was all so nice! The bed was comfy. Lovely victorian bath with thoughtful amenities. We had a yummy dinner at the restaurant and chatted to the owner and the chef who are both so nice!! At the end we went to pack the car, and they had washed it!! Can you believe it!!Would go back again for sure.

We had the most wonderful experience. From not knowing where we were gonna overnight to 1 phone call and 2 staff members namely Jessica and Sydwell who went out of their way to make us feel at home and comfortable. They surely know what Customer Service is a all about. Beautiful rooms, lovely food and the most peaceful atmosphere. We will definitely visit again!!!!

Excellent stay, staff is very friendly, efficient and accomadating. Rooms are modern and clean and contains all necessary comforts. A place that is home away from home. Went for lunch, and LOVED the food. Only thing was that I would have loved to rather have food from evening menu, as it was on a Sunday. But after all, the food and pudding was from the best I had in years, and definitely the best place in Hesequa

The Chef is extraordinary, service is spectacular and warm. We arrived at 9PM and staff was there to receive us and offer for the dinner, did order the Lamb, Duck and Yellow fish where was so sweet he separate into two portions for my kids, cousine was awesome. Worth everything to stay!!!

What a super weekend all made possible thanks to Chris and his amazing team. The guest house rooms are lavish and the staff will attend to every whim and fancy that you have. The food is scrumptious and even if your not staying at the guest house do pop in and have a meal or two - you wont be disappointed!

We stayed for one night and it was great! Rooms with enough space (mine was pretty big with two rooms excluding the bathroom). The TVs in our other two rooms were a little small, but maybe Im just to spoiled. We enjoyed dinner in the small restaurant there. Yummy! Especially the working woman there was very nice. The only reason why I only give 4 stars is that it was never really warm in my room and that the existing heater was not strong enough to change that. I would definitely come again.(PS: WIFI works pretty good)

Owner staff absolutely identical, friendly, courteous even if you do not adhere to the house rules. Completely open house the objects in the rooms can also be used and are not just decoration. Conscious style that serves to preserve the historical substances without sacrificing the usual comfort.I was excited.
