Darling Brew and guest craft beers on tap. Local Swartland wines. Oh and always always service with a smile!! Love this place

We had breakfast at the barn. We were met by a young man who welcomed us and made us feel right at home, showed us to a table and what a wonderful setting.The service was really good and the food was fantastic. We enjoyed the breakfast burger which was tasty and the chips were crispy and perfect.

Fantastic lunch under the shade of the umbrellas outside. Chicken skewers and salad highly recommended. Great coffees. The cakes look amazing. Will have to return for them. The interior looks lovely for dinners.

Situated in the small country town of Riebeek Kasteel (castle) wel known for the production of shiraz, about 60 minutes from Paarl,, The word Barn is literally painted in big letters on the side of the building,,,We arrived after sundown,,interesting little fountain they have there on a hot day very welcoming,,the wine is cold, food is great,,coffee is even greater,,,easy accessible from the outside and outside tables,,inside might be a little difficult for a handicapped person,,,low level steps, bathroom has steps and small area for a wheelchair for instance, parking is not that big

The Barn is certainly one of the nicest venues in Riebeek Kasteel. The view is sensational, the outdoor dining area beautifully spaced and the food hearty. Deserts are a particularly strong Attraction! Service is subtle and attentive.

Great location, with a beautiful view over the picturesque village of RIebeek Kasteel, very gracious host, the food is quite unique with interesting pairings, the chocolate mouse log with amarula centre is a must eat, it is so good you probably want to eat it before your main course, and then again as a desert. The menu has got something for everyones budget. Be sure to book it can get busy

Burger meat was undercooked and lamb kebab tough. Waiter never came back to our table to check on our meal or offer anything more to drink. They did give us a discount on the bill but my burger should have been a no charge in my opinion as I could not eat it. Maybe it was just a bad day for the restaurant. Setting was beautiful.

The food was delicious, the venue lovely. It was a treat.

Awful service and long wait times. Our waitress was clearly in a mood and took it out on us. Our drinks were almost thrown across the table and any request was meet with a scowl. We waited over 90 minutes for our food and then the order was wrong. Not a single sincere apology from the staff or management. Wont ever be going back again.

Newly re-furbished and re-opened by Thomas (of Beans about coffee), and a great job done! At the time of writing the menu is limited, but it will expand; there are inside and outside tables, a delightful lawn, a childrens play area and this place deserves to become very popular very quickly. The Barn do is a cosy and pretty restaurant as how they revamped the premises. It is open and still intimate, nice colors , fire place, bar. The menu is just different than other restaurants. Their starter prawns, duck spring rolls are excellent. And than the lamb neck and pork belly is to come back for. Craft beer?? YESS The wine list has many local Riebeek Kasteel best wines they offer and are really reasonable prices. Regarding this , the beautiful quiet terras wit fountain, inside parking and very good staff, this is just a new Gem

The menu was disappointingly dull (unless youre a rabid carnivore), but that turned out to be about the best aspect. In a veritable galaxy of low lights, the salad that was drowning in sticky-sweet dressing deserves special mention. After carefully measuring our temperatures and taking my phone details for contact-tracing (in the event of COVID-19 exposure) I was somewhat alarmed that neither the waitress nor chef who spoke to us were wearing masks. I guess, if youre not fussy about menu or good eating and think the pandemic is a hoax, this place might be worth a visit. Otherwise, this is pretty much an option of last resort. One star for surviving lockdown, and one for not giving us food poisoning. I might have to deduct a star if it becomes a COVID-19 cluster....

Hidden Gem in Riebeek Kasteel!A stunning location with delicious food ...the service was exceptional... and child friendly, the owner was very attentive and even opened up the fountain sprinklers for our 5 year old to play in. Thank you for our memorable visit. We will be back.
