The food was delicious. My husband had a creamy pasta and I had a prawn curry. It was divine and I would definitely recommend it.

All good beside the yachts in the harbour, lights on the water like back when we still sent post cards.Best Eisbein in a long time. Maybe best ever. Yes, best ever. But no mustard or honey and mustard sauce?The girls loved the White Wine Sauce.No kids in the play pen, but thank God, cos I dont do chiiillldrin!Which means four stars, but on a thick overcast night.Can I go now?

The restaurant needs some decor and atmosphere but the food was delicious and well priced.

Decided on lunch. We were the only guests. The menu is vast and there are many choices. We decided on having a cocktail and then a half chicken peri peri. Great service.

When we arrived, service was good. Two large tables arrived and we where all but forgotten. Food was reasonable and fairly priced.

For a starter we had the friend button mushrooms which were fresh and the sauce it came in was flavourful and rich. The prawns were exceptional! They are fresh, not over or under cooked and the sauce they came in was delicious. The friend calamari tubes were also yummy! Their sides (we had a side salad and veggies) need a bit of improvement as they were bland.

Lovely waterfront restaurant, the food was Devine and the service was good.

Great position, views of the Bay are great and the restaurant could be better in selection of the waiters.Our waiter was arrogant.You try out a new restaurant and find yourself having to deal with others character problems.Wont leave my money there again......2nd time, not a coincidence.

Poor service, limited menu but phenomenal position

I would say this is one of my favourite restaurants around here. Their food is devine and you can tell its freshly made. Place is clean. A tip for the waiters, they should work on introducing themselves. I always leave there without knowing who served us.

We came here once during lock down and I wasnt very impressed. During November, we tried it again and my view changed completely. We have been back twice already and I must admit that these guys have great food! I can definitely recommend the Lasagne as well as the chicken kebab and the beef fillet.

Ate at your lovely restaurant over the course of a few days - each time the service was good and the food was great. Highly recommended.

First time ever I could not finish my meal lol!The Eisbein pork was absolutely divine, crispy to my liking, very flavorful and my fries were very much crisp and crunchy.

This place is awesome. You need to visit this place and ask for their (I dont know what its called) PORK chop. Wow! The pork was so huge, very well done and delicious.The lady that attended to my friend and I was great.Honestly, Im going back there again for that hospitality and especially for the pork. I hope I will know what its called by then and finish the pork.

We had lunch there - not the first time - and its certainly a nice play area for the kids but the food is always the same menu since they opened and is not always the same quality. I think the Mexican place next door does better but has unfortunately no play area. We decided to give the Portuguese a miss for some time and hope that they come up with at least some new ideas and a constant good food quality.

Good food and service. Great play area, clean and has a variety of games and excellent care for the kids at the play area. The assistants are patient and good with the kids. The best in Richards Bay thus far.

Great place, good fish and mostly loved the sea views. But I was not impressed by the salad they served me. The lattice was not fresh. It was yellow. I was so unimpressed with this experience! It made a good place look shady!!

Great open air for food and drink

Wow! What an experience. Great outdoor seating Enormous kids play area. Sitting right on the Bay whilst enjoying a real Portuguese meal. Be prepared for the best Ribs and very generous prawn portions. The owner, Goodness, personally is very involved and hands on.Only let down was the interior conference seating style and bathrooms, little bit dark and outdated.

Always a safe bet if undecided on which restaurant to visit. Good views, friendly staff and a menu to cater for most tastes. Highly recommended.

The place is prepared well for kids to play. I would say that they need to pay attention to the pasta dishes as they lack a little love. I have to say otherwise there are amazing smells of flavors that come out of the kitchen.

The place is wonderful, food is delicious and great service. Fantastic play area for the kids. The only reason I wont give them 5 stars, is because of all the hawkers walking through while youre eating. Theyre always in the way.

Good family restaurant. They serve chilli with bread as a welcome table setting. Brilliant! Food is always just fine. I often have to comment on the bathroom cleanliness. View is of the small craft harbour at the Tuzi Gazi Richards Bay Waterfront, which is great. There are not many restaurants in Richards Bay with views.

We went as a family for milkshakes. The milkshakes were delicious and come in a variety of flavours including chocolate, strawberry and lime.I had the lime milkshake and it is recommended. They also have a nice play area for small children, one of only two restaurants that offer this facility which makes it child friendly for parents wishing to dine out while their children are entertained.

We had dinner for my husbands birthday on the 3rd of October 2018.Lovely and warm Environment. The menu caters for both adults and children.We were provided with gas heaters since it was a nippy chilly evening.The children play in nicely secured and the children caretaker was friendly and patient with the kids.Their combo(chicken/prawns,chicken/valamari,seafood patters etc)dishes are to die for, very generous portions.Desserts were nicely presented and mouth waters.We will definetely be regulars.

I always get the sense that the waiters are well trained here and are managed in a way to make them realise that they are stakeholders. That is not to say that I always get prompt service, but I always feel happy with it.The food is really good and I believe the prices are very competitive.A very big plus for our young family is the big play area.And remember, it is right on the water at the small craft harbour.

Had a 30th birthday party at Portuguese on the Bay and everything was absolutely perfect , from meeting with the owner and all the planning with the managers and staff it was all done so efficiently and professionally. On the day we received excellent service and staff & management really went out of their way to cater for all of our needs. The food was delicious and prepared freshly. So glad that I chose this place :)

The food is very tasty and well-priced, the atmosphere is casual and I enjoyed the cultural music playing in the background.

Food was great. Well done to the guys in the kitchen.Unfortunately we had to get up 3 times to ask to pay the bill. Was only helped after 20-30 minutes. Asked another waitress to help, but she couldnt care less. No apology, nothing.Expect to also be interrupted by a hawker every 5 minutes. Once or twice is fine. But all the time is ridiculous.Restaurant also doesnt seem to have a manager.
