I enjoyed this restaurant. However, there are not many options on the menu for my dietary needs. I think all the options for breakfast contained egg or dairy, I landed up making up my own breakfast for the waiter to ask the chef to make which was easy enough and I enjoyed it nonetheless.

The bao wasnt great and neither was the service. Enjoyed the shoestring fries though.

Best treats in the neighborhood, best home made carrot cake, amazing.

From the time I walked in the staff looking forward to having me. The breakfast was delicious, I ordered harissa rubbed beef patties, my waiter mpho provided a superb service, he knows the dishes very well nd was happy to explain each dish , which made our choices easier.

Was chasing for Italian cuisine to suite my daughters choice but got more than that.Ambience is average - busy and can be noisy.From our experience service is excellent- food is as good as explained on the menu.We are small eaters so just did mains and we were happy with no complaints. Absolutely fabulous vibe and ambience. We went on a sunday and there was a live band. Food was delicious and a good wine goes down well.

Great restaurant. If you have any preconceived negative thoughts on the possibility the food is bad, any dish will rectify those thoughts. The food is original, unique, and unbelievably tasty. Good selection of wines and beer, and the personally the best chocolate milkshake Ive ever had comes from here.

I would highly recommend this neighborhood restaurant in the garden suburb of Craighall. Live music enhances a warm and inviting ambience, an extensive menu caters to all tastes, lovely fresh ingredients in delicious, well-presented dishes. Good service and clean bathrooms. Cnr Café is a winner!

Getting poorer unfortunately-service wasn’t great the last time, even worse this time. Took forever to get anything done. Imperfectly cooked steak and everything else was bland. For the price, there are much better places nearby.

Setting is ok, menu isnt great, food is average at best and rather pricey for what you get.

This was one of the first times I have been to this little restaurant but it was one of the most amazingpmeals I had. The food is absolutely delicious. It is quite reasonably priced and the service is also very very good. If you are looking for somewhere to have a really good meal that you will struggle to forget then this is definitely a place to go for that experience. The staff are so friendly and professional as well.

Great spot, not many vegan options...I did not enjoy the beyond meat burger, please have a purely vegan burger that taste like fresh produce. Not a fan of meat replacement or look a like food... That said everything else was great. The staff is amazing and overall a great weekend spot.Also effecient reservation process. Thank you for a wonderful time.PS, the parking guard was intrusive, and needs people skills. Disturbed us to ask us to move our cars and pay cos he needs to go... And while in the parking lot, in another visit, he kinda hurried us out... Not cool. Please have a chat with him.

It is a very hip and cozy place to meet up with your friends. We had the chicken prego which was rather dry and not that appetizing. Our friend had the bacon burger which looked amazing. The salads are to die for.

The atmosphere is really nice here with aesthetically pleasing decor.Our waiter ignored us most of the time and the few times he did show up, he was visibly annoyed and exasperated. However other staff picked up on this and quickly took over. The waiter that took care of us for the rest of the day was a delight.The food was good and the iced tea was so delicious, especially considering its sugar free. However I do think the food was slightly overpriced.R127 for a +-20cm gluten free pizza with chicken, cheese, cilantro and tomatoes on it seems a bit much to me. It was tasty but dont think it was worth the price, I have had gluten free pizzas for less at other places.

I was not overly impressed. I ordered the big breakfast and what was served was a pretty regular breakfast.A few measly strips of burnt bacon, a fatty rosti and two skinny sausages.R108 for that is not worth it.Compare a similar breakfast from Doppio Zero and the difference is stark. Id even go as far as to say that this was no better than a Wimpy breakfast, at twice the price.

Excellent breakfast!

Cnr cafe has been in the area for over a decade, and has never failed to deliver on excellent food and service. The menu offers a large variety of choice, with options for vegetarians as as well. It is also the only place one can get the Big Bad Wolf, which was the flagship burger at the Wolfpack in parkhurst. The experience is always memorable and as such, highly recommended.

Best muscles in town by far and the raspberry creme brulee needs to be made in a 2 liter container.

Really delicious food, generous quantities, great service from well trained and charming staff - will be back again soon. Happy Christmas

Definitely a place to go if you like breakfast. They have a wide variety and interesting dishes to choose from. The place has an open an airy cafe vibe. The staff were friendly and super helpful, managed to find us a table to watch the rugby world cup game without us having a booking.

Had lunch here today. I enjoyed the food and the setup is great too. The service was good and the waiter was patient. I usually have to exclude and replace ingredients on my meal choices and the waiter got it right and I had exactly what I asked for.The Owners/ managers were on the floor and visible which is a win. Lovely restaurant. The decor is fab, food great. Complimentary shooters were very yummy and a great idea to have a little device with which to call the waiter or the bill. How brilliant. Definitely recommend. Another great thing was the music. Great eclectic collection.1

Cnr Café is a pleasure! I have never had a bad experience there and the food is great!! A relaxed atmosphere with a selection for everyone. I must say that Shaun is a particularly excellent waiter who makes an effort to get to know his customers. Highly recommended!

A wonderfully thought out menu catering to every palette however the true stars are always the specials which meld unique flavours and exotic textures into an already perfect ambient setting. Always nice to see when a chef isnt afraid to try new things! Book a table outside in the warmer months for fairy light dining.

The food was tasty. One of the dishes had undercooked chickpeas. Spoilt a tasty salad :( The service was sluggish and awkward. We asked for a refill for our water glasses, so the waiter took our existing glasses away and brought four wine glasses...for water. The food and ambiance is good, but the staff appear to need more training

Lovely atmosphere, helpful and attentive staff and some excellent food not far from Jan Smuts. Parking can be a bit tricky as its all street parking, but its in a quiet section of Craighall Park so at least no worry of any speedsters accidentally scraping your car. Good choice of music. As a vegan it was great to find the curried chickpea buddha bowl which was one of the best dishes Ive experienced out. A brilliant experience all around 👌
