This is such a great store for gaming. Its so difficult to get a good D&D supplier in SA, but Nexus Hub has so much on offer from miniatures to campaign books. They also have the most impressive board game collection I have ever seen. If youre into fantasy books or anything comic book related, they also have a huge selection to offer. I should also mention that they have excellent service as they were happy to help me with what I was looking for.In essence if youre a geek in the Randburg area, why are you still reading and not on your way here??

The place is fantastic. It has my favourite restaurant Catz PJs and The Nexus Comic Store / Gaming Store all rolled into one. There is is also computer gaming, as well as card gaming tournaments that happen in-store.It definitely has an awesome culture brewing here.

Enjoyable experience! Had a great selection of comics, staff were really friendly and ready to help. They also informed me that you can place orders for items currently not in stock and they can try source it for you. Only complaint I had were that there wasnt as much variety available for anime and manga (but it was explained that it is difficult to source these). Overall, really enjoyable experience.

The overall experience at Nexus was great. The selection of board games they have is extensive and absolute fun! They could increase the amount of comic books they have, but even so their prices are good. The cafe downstairs is the best part. It is very relaxing and their milkshakes are the best!

The are very few boardgame shops in Johannesburg and even fewer in the Randburg area. Nexus Hub has a wide selection of board games and the staff are always willing to help source any board games that are not on the shelves.

Wonderful service, friendly and helpful staff. The games are organised on both levels, it is well lit and very clean. Has every board game and accessory you could possibly need for whatever type of gaming you could be interested in. Obviously some of the stuff is expensive as it comes with the territory of this type of hobby/career etc. You could spend hours going through everything that they have and to top it all off you can order food or coffee downstairs. Customer service is non existent from the time I walked in until I left. No greeting, no can I help you with anything. I just get looked at from behind the counter while they all share jokes only they understand.You guys were awesome in Bright Water Commons but I highly doubt the same owners run this shop.Edit: Thanks for the response. Is a great store, Staff need some training management needs to be nicer and manage the pre-orders a hell of a lot better. Many people complain about this over the last few years so that is clearly a problem.Otherwise it seems that they moving towards an online base but offers a great service that has alot of potential if done a bit better.

There are many collectors items on display, the staff are friendly, the place is neat and clean. A large active community is present and there are several events over several days.Appears to be more Card/Board games based?The restaurant is not too expensive and have HUGE portions! A wide variety of choice from pizza down to cheesy chips with cajun chicken.Plenty of safe parking and easy to find.10/10

Really good comic book, board games, video games and general geek/nerd merchandise. The restaurant gives really great meals and decadent milkshakes. Also geek themes like star wars. Theres board game nights on Wednesday and Thursday evenings for free and generally awesome friendly atmosphere.

Moving my 2018 review from 2 to 4 stars.Wont go into details, but suffice it to say that the handling of preorders got much much better since last year. And staff remain super-friendly. I can now recommend Nexus wholeheartedly.

Made my first online purchase through their Website and I am extremely pleased. The online interface was easy to use and their correspondance was more than sufficient. My order was safely packaged and the item itself was in pristine condition, which was suprising for a preowned item. I will definitely order from Nexus Hub in future.

Probably one of the biggest comic stores around with a nice place to eat. Tons of seating for those who play cards or wants a D&D session. They have an area for lans too. Very well kept store with tons of toys.

Nexus Hub is the place to go for anything gaming. This includes video games, board games and trading card games. They have an extensive collection of all of the above and offer up an awesome place to be part of these communities by playing these games on the premises, as well as tournaments, etc.They have a pretty good collection of comic books, graphic novels and manga you could grab while spending the day and dig into between games. They also offer space for parties (birthday, etc) and LAN parties with their set ups of PCs and consoles.The staff are really great and super helpful with everything at the store. There is also a really great cafe (encouraging you to spend the whole day) that makes a mean family size calzone, amongst other great meals and milkshakes.

It has all the nerdy things you want

Its a great place for all sorts of games, both digital and tabletop games. On Wednesday and Friday one can go and play magic the gathering from 18:00 - 23:00ish.There is also a little informal coffee shop and restaurant if youre hungry/thirsty whilst youre busy having fun.Do not expect to have a nerd beer there as there is no alcohol on site.

Its a good place to come dnd and other games, they have food that you cab order, that is worth trying, the people are friendly, and if youre looking for days to play, Thursdays and Tuesdays have people playing, so if you wanna check the place out, then come and hop by. Also they have everything from anime, to figurines to books,dice, different board games etc on sale. I wouldnt suggest ordering a cream waffle though. The milkshakes are quite expensive though but they are quite nice.

Expensive merchandise, they are not competitively priced so expect to pay more, the service is great however and I have experienced nothing but friendliness and an interest to help. I go regularly with friends to enjoy a few card games and a meal once in a blue moon. There are competitions and events held every so often which are great to attend.

One of the best gaming stores Ive been to in South Africa. I dont ever write reviews, but I thought this was necessary. Do yourself a favor and pay them a visit. Play a game or two of your favourite ccg, kill a few hours on a console, watch some people compete or take part in the regular events they host or just talk to the friendly staff about anything gaming related. Theres even a restaurant you can grab a yummy bite at. Ive been to many gaming stores. This one is up there with the best.

The hub. Sit down for some lunch then go upstairs for an intense gaming session or perhaps a unique VR experience. The Nexus has everything you need even 3D printers. Be sure to check their fantastic catalogue of comics, action figures and card games.
