The wonderful aroma of freshly baked treats greets you when you walk in and thats when you know, this is the type of bakery that used to exist as standard back in our parents time.We were quite late in the day so most of their display was finished but managed to get carrot cake, some bread, cheesecake, cinnamon roll, and some decadent looking cake with whipped cream on top and I have no idea what it is but it was the last one left and it looked fantastic!We shall definitely return but at an earlier time of day where I hear the queue is long but worth the wait.Great service from Joleen.

I really do love the pastries and the pricing and for that I will give it a 5 star but on the experience, I rate it a 3 star. Old fashioned, card machines are slow, the process to order is a pain (covid brought that though) but I just feel that they need to change their look and be more trendy. An update is all they need, they can even increase their products with that change to make it profitable.

At the price you cant fault them! Yummy treats at a steal and incredible sourdough rye bread!Get there before midday or it will all be gone! Always queues but that makes sense, but they serve people quickly.

A good combination of talented baking and friendly staff is probably part of the winning recipe at NBA. Above that, in my view is that the mass produced/bulk baking taste that you find elsewhere is absent. Awesome! Your tastebuds experience the passion, pride and the skill of the bakers hand in their delicious creations. My faves include the carrot cake squares, the lemon baked cheesecake, apple and almond tart, well basically everything 😉! As for their pies, encased in golden buttery pastry, generously filled with meat and flavour..... you dead 😜!

It is busy on a Saturday Morning with the breakfast run. We had breakfast which was average with the exception of the freshly baked bread. Great coffee. But the confectionery items are litteraly in a class of its own. The range is awesome. Made with only the best products and reasonable prices. Please go and check it out.

I have been here 3 times in under 24 hours. I love this place. So many things to choose from and all of them are divine. Ive never eaten anything that I didnt like here. Their pies are also top notch.

NBA is a local gem and the name sums it up very nicely. Be sure to contact them if you ever need platters for a patty. Every single thing in our platters was amazing and at R550 we could feed 10 people easily. From sandwiches to chocolate brownies. What a delight!

Pleasant bakery staff, very helpful in keeping crowding to a minimum at present.The range of confectionery and bread is reasonably extensive, but everything is very obviously freshly baked. Go there too late in the afternoon and you will probably be disappointed.The coffee shop is OK. Just. It may be supposed to have shabby chic decor, but it really is just shabby. The waiting staff seem to have regular bad hair days.

Based on the reviews, surely this place has been around for a while. My first time experience left me puzzled a bit - from the lovely gentleman who greeted me so warmly at the entrance as he asked how he can help me and actually proceeded to pick muffins and croissants as per my request; to the sad looking woman behind the counter - who didnt even greet me back and left me standing at the till for a minute.The muffins were okay, the croissants were just as disappointing by comparison to what I was told to expect.Perhaps it was just the weather today, ill try again next week.

Banting ? Fear not. We tried their omelette with a bacon side. Their breakfasts are very reasonably priced, and large portions.Service was very friendly. Boswell was our waiter. They get busy on Saturday mornings especially after 10am. We’d just done the Delta parkrun, and this was a marked spot to try out. The confectionary side has people streaming in to browse and buy or pick up their orders. The restaurant side has seating inside and outside with adequate outside parking. Read in their menu about how they came to start their bakery business - a great testimony which now bears much fruit. We also liked their sign about why they don’t have WiFi available. It has a good feel about it. We’ll be back for sure.

The loveliest pies ever! They definitely dont cost what normal pies cost but they are absolutely worth it. I cant get enough of their custard slices as well. And will definitely suggest the Danish too. The only issue I have with them is that they are not open long enough.
