This is the main entrance to the UP Hatfield campus. Good security.
A very good road to use, especially if you are a student. Less traffic, not congested so high freedom of movement.
Ok so it’s an entrance. BUT it is well designed. The most access points, and FYI the only one actually open on weekends. This is also the entrance to the parked for students (far left) whereas the Centre is for staff. There are OUTsurance points men here quite often so don’t worry about crossing when it’s peak traffic. If you have time, check the salmon stream on the side, it’s quite something.
If you have you visitors pin or staff card it is easy to access here
The most beautiful entrance at University of Pretoria and no delays too.
Fast
A little unclear of what you have to do, and inconsistent requests for IDs etc. once you’re inside, if you’re a visitor it’s very difficult to find someone to let you in, and not much signposting. Also, the automatic parking bay counting system hasn’t worked for about 5 years!
Some a hassle to enter, long lined in the morning. Use sales entrances
Strict control measures and professional approach
You need your ID to enter into UP campus via this gate if you are not a registered student
Friendly helpful people.
Gates often out of order and cash only payment.
One of the entrances into the UP campus.
