Very organizedVan Tonder Transport is the largest specialized grain carrier in the country with a fleet of 50 grain trucks. All our trucks are MAN front trailers with Trailord grain links with a capacity of +/- 37ton per truck which allows us to transport about 44000 tonnes per month over long distances, however, it would be over short distances where three loads a day we transport about 100,000 tons a month.We have an approved MAN workshop with well-trained mechanics who regularly attend MAN courses to keep abreast of the latest technology in MAN. Our maintenance on our branches is excellent, because we believe in keeping trucks on the road and not in the workshop in order to provide our clients with an outstanding service. Furthermore, we only use Michelin Tires and we do not use any tires, but only new tires of which we sell all our rims to Bandag. We boast the best cents / km on our tires in the market and furthermore we have no down time for tires that are lost or because of tires that burst. All our vehicles are monitored 24 hours a day by satellite to ensure that they are used optimally and to keep customers informed of where their cargo is and to inform them of specific download times. We boast the best loading times of less than 5 minutes per truck which enables us to move large quantities in a very short period of time at fast loading and unloading locations. Considering all the past facts and that our oldest truck is a low-mileage 2002 model, we assure the public they are safe near our trucks.We started with one truck in 1989 and grew the business gradually through hard work, perseverance ability grace from above and personal attention in all facets of the business. This is a family business whose name we are proud of. We started at Kuruman and are now stationed in Pretoria in the heart of the corn triangle. We were three brothers Nelius, Flippie and Danie with our parents still on Kuruman, but unfortunately lost to Nelius in 1991 in an accident.
