Incredible public swimming pool, open 7 days a week, most days from 5:30am to 7pm. Clean and well maintained but it could use a fresh coat of paint and a few new windows and clocks, the water is amazing though and it’s 50m long! Olympic size with a great depth, I love training there.

It is very big and clean, well maintained. But the staff is busy in the parking area cleaning their cars and other things. Otherwise the place looks ok

Pool looking stunning, clear, water temperature comfortable. Surroundings clean . Change rooms adequate, clean and hot water in showers. Just need a few shower fixtures replaces. Enjoyable visit

The placed has aged and some basic maintenance is lacking. Most likely not have the budget to do the upkeep of this place. Still a very practical pool and great for school swimming events. Parking space is a challenge when a lot of people are here. But it does what is required.

The last time I went, the pool had been revamped. FInally no more broken tiles. My big issue is the bathrooms. Too few toilets especially for a pool that hosts galas and when you do find a working or open one no soap or paper. You expect more from what is the flagship pool in Pretoria.

It’s a good public pool. Heaters are not working at the moment so water is a bit cold. But I am always game for a fresh swim in the morning.

Had a great Gala there today. Does feel like the spot needs a bit of love and care though.

Went to the pool for an NTS organised gala. The pool was clear but being spring many jacaranda flowers had got into the pool overnight. The pool staff cleaned these up throughout the day. The swimmers said the water temperature was fine, not chilly.The facilities were reasonably clean and handled the large crowd reasonably well, if a little weirdly laid out.There is a tuck shop serving typical fair. As this was a gala event food stalls had been setup serving fast food and coffee.An enjoyable time was had by all.

I have been swimming here for 35 years, the pool tiles need attention but its still a good alternative to gym swimming in Pretoria.

Wow! You love swimming, this is the place for it! An Olympic size pool, I like it. Staff, slightly off balance, not well mannered to answer simple questions. One just pointed at the board when I asked about opening times, not so eager to help. He pointed to another board when I asked for prices! Lazy man! They need to learn customer service! Otherwise, a nice place to swim!

Great pool and very clean. Warm enough for an outdoor pool and entrance fee is well priced. The showers however do not have any fittings so do not expect to shower after your swim. There is a lack of storage and secure storage for your kit bag though which would be a great addition.The swimming gear shop at the back side of the swimming pool complex is amazing. They have a huge range of swimwear and accessories at some of the cheapest prices Ive seen. It is well worth a visit.

I have been swimming at Hillcrest for years, the staff, grounds and swimming store are all great. The pool water quality and pool cleanliness do have room for improvement. The current adult price for a casual swim is only R14. (Does vary by season)

Compared to Delville and Hillcrest this swimming pool was disappointing. A few of the Ladies toilets are broken. Not all cubicles have doors. The electronic time display has not been fixed and the one that is working took a while to display times. Disappointed to see the diving pool is no longer in use. Parking area is however safe with car guards.

Started swimming again this week. Pleasantly surprised to find the showers working. Hot water, both taps and a shower head. Water was good temperature and clean

Its really great. Clean pool and showers. They have a tuckshop, a playground section and a costume store. The ticket price is very reasonable plus you can pay to swim for a month, a week or a couple of days.

Its warmed in the winter, but the heater also breaks. Water is not warmed in Spring and Summer. Friendly service, clean amenities.

Pleasantly surprised that a public pool was in such good condition. Parking good. No kiddies pool. More for serious swimmers/athletes.

One of my favourite pools in pretoria. They are open year round and they offer seasonal passes. The schedule for galas is a little unpredictable. Always check the boards before your next swim.

Really had a great time there, hanging with my friends. If youre a student and youre bored out of your mind, concider coming here to enjoy the lovely water with a picnic and great company!

Lovely well maintained pool.Prices have gone up since the last published on the Web.There is no kiddies pool so if you take your toddler or pre schooler be prepared for intensive one on one supervision.It would be better advised to take your small child to a swim school first.Great for people who need to train seriously as there are lanes properly set up.

Generally the pool is clean and useable. Maintenance does however take very long to fix any problems.

Great clean outdoor pool to train in.sufficient seating to go watch an event and a nice grass area to relax and chill on with some friends. Swim shop on site with a variety of products on sale. Pool can get fairly busy during peak hours.

The pool is not kept very clean. It used to be sparkly clean but the last few times it was dirty even though they were busy sweeping the bottom. Bathrooms are being upgraded.

Pool is dirty. Some tiles are cracked. Bathrooms and change rooms in serious need of a revamp. Can still use the pool though. And its affordable. However shower after you swim. Them chemicals in the pool are heavy.

Well heated pool makes it good to use also in winter at anytime.

A local gem. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Features a full 50m Olympic size pool thats heated in the winter, a tuck shop, and swim gear store.Busy weekday afternoons as 70% of the pool is used by clubs and coaches. Weekends and heat waves see large numbers of recreational users. Parking inside the secure area may be a problem during peak times.Grounds are very well maintained as is the pool. Users can expect some sediment for a day or two after heavy weather (rain storms, intense winds, etc).

New Lane ropes have been put in and the pool has a lovely podiums for diving as well the pool is ideal for tumble turns.

Visiting the pool today was not too bad. However a lot of the time the pool is not clean and most time there is no toilet paper in the bathroom and the floors wet in the toilets .
