I approached Dr Gurnell for a second opinion on a procedure (rhizotomy) proposed on me by another neurosurgeon. The procedure was intended to cure a sharp continuous pain on a specific point on the left side of my brain. He booked me in his hospital for four nights eonstansibly to observe me. I underwent MRI scan and other tests. After four nights I was discharged. To date I have not received the second opinion I went there for in the first place, despite several reminders!Doctor, I came in for advice on rhizotomy. You proposed to book me in so that you could do your own investigation. This should have given you better information to advise me on the way forward. I expected a report on your findings and recommendations. I have communicated this to you and you promised to provide the report. The neurologists you referred to was part of your team, you did not refer me to her. I am waiting to hear from you, not the other wat round!
