Very calm, pleasant and spacious place with friendly staff. I was there for the fourth time for Church camp. Special thanks to Natasha and the staff for pleasant hospitality.

Nice place, tranquil too.. but the food was horrible! Service wasnt great either! I really was not happy. Wouldnt recommend it

Lots of potential, but sorry will not see us again. We were booked for 2 nights in the so called luxury tents. Had to bring our own cutlery etc. 2 days no hot water. Flies are a huge problem. Hope the management can sort out the problems !!Hard to give 1 star. Bad, bad, bad!!

The place is great , very secluded bringing much needed peace and privacy to many.There are a bit of safe wild animals like monkeys

The stuff very helpful , attentive and your privacy is respected.Mlungisi was the great host in checking us in until our departure day.The pools were very clean.The tent was just perfect for us . The water is always hot never runs out!Ohk my next visit is very soon...

We had a very positive experience with the meeting we held at the Lodge. Everything was ready upon arrival with small details taken care of. Staff were attentive and professional and the food was delicious.

One secluded place from the public, yet very peaceful and lovely. Affordable and very friendly staff members.

Clean honest place .Get away from the noise just around the corner .I love it.

Kids went on camp. Got sick as there was no hot water. Supposed to be 3 kids in a room, ended up having 11 kids in a room. Food was not nice. Reused paper cups. Rooms had sand on floor. Toilet was dirty on arrival. Bedding smelt of sweat. Frogs in pool. For such a large group they need to ensure they do things well as now over 200 kids are all telling their parents of their bad experience. Water tasted of chlorine.

The venue had a good scenery with serenity guaranteed. The service was good and the location is ideal for a great weekend getaway for both young and old. Remember to pack your swimming trunks. Generally you are left to yourself so ensure you guard the little ones as the pools arent enclosed. The bigger the group the better the entrainment.

5 stars for Tommy! What a wonderful person to deal with. The lodge itself is not that bad, a lot has to be done with it. The swimming pools need some seriously cleaning. I will definately go back!

A nice place to find yourself at. It turns out to be one of the best camping sites. Yes somethings need to be improved as all other camping sites.

I enjoyed my stay.My first ever pathfinder Camporee that happened in South Africa. If nature, peace and quiet is you cup of tea; well Mopane lodge has that. From camping grounds to Bangalores, the choice is all yours. Swimming pool? Well there is one. We were over seven thousand campers. There joy of taking a break from cities and reconnecting with God in nature and immeasurable 😊But well those bathrooms really need an up keep; with that said, i wont mind camping there with that problem fixed

Excellent place well maintained good walkways just need to finish the walkways with paving to avoid walking in dust from rooms to hall but otherwise I liked the place we used it for prayer camp excellent

They served us food that made our tummies run for 7 days straight, they didn’t clean the rooms, no hot water, they stuff is not friendly at all,not a good place to go in a large group they can’t handle it, they pictures on google are fake, they roof dropped on kids. I can go on an on but this place is just bad, don’t go there because they show you something else on the site visit and deliver the opposite

Do not believe what you get told when you visit the site. They promise the moon and and deliver a flashlight.

The lodge is comfortable but they need to consider changing their bathrooms and installing showers in the chalets. Overall the lodge has beautiful scenery

Lovely place. But turnoff on the road doesnt show, there is no sign or board which tells you where the place is so one could easily pass the road.

They always something that is lost on their property. Projector or there was break-in but the always have some stories that will make U pay more

The Price and the Host are the Only Good thing about the Lodge. No Cafe/Utility Shop on Premises. No Restaurant/Pub/Take Away Shop on Premises. No Showers in Chalets. No Microwaves or Stoves. Only some Chalets have Fridges or Kettles in them. Baths in Chalets are Incredibly Small. (Had to Bath sitting up as to small to lie down/soak in) Unsitely Dumps Site right behind Lodge. Heated Pool was Broken. Filter systems were broken in both pools so was infested with insects. (My partner even got stung by a wasp floating in the pool amidst all the other insects). Putt Putt Course was in Dissarray. (Not to mention Lodge had no putters or balls). Obstacle Course falling apart and a serious danger to anyone foolhardy enough to attempt using it. Locals behind the Resort would reguraly jump the fence in hordes to use pools free of charge as a communial bathing area!Resort is owned by a church, so Im guessing they just rent it out on the side for a little bit of pocket change, when not in use by them. So they are not really reliant on any decent upkeep or customer service as it is not meant to be a money maker to them. Not even deserving of 1 star. Stay well clear.

The reception is cold, not friendly. surroundings have no lights at night, some rooms did not have lights, bunk beds not friendly to the ederly, no dustbins in the rooms, more than 15 beds in one domatory with only one shower nd ,1 basin, some geysers not working

Our Church group had a function in the place, the beds are terrible and management was also found wanting most of the time.

Mopani Lodge was not nice at all.Their food was always late & not enough,delaying our program.The people dishing up our food were very unfriendly...however Clifford the manager,I assume was very friendly.On top of that someone from their staff members stole my brand new NIKE R1800 shoes.With that said I dont recommend anyone going there in large numbers &for a long time

When theres bad weather the electricity can not be reliable and they do not have backup power.
