If it was possible I would give more than 5 stars. Best night ever! Excellent authentic Korean food. Great service from both our waitress and the owner, even helping my daughter with the Korean words for the utensils as she is learning to speak Korean.

A hidden gem in Pretoria. A really lovely Korean restaurant. Serene and peaceful, great ambience. Food was really delicious and service was great. Waitress was attentive, friendly and efficient. Average price for main dishes is about R110 and portion sizes are big. Definitely worth a trip!

The hosts were super friendly and patient with explaining the different meals abs how to best consume them.Calling on the phone was tricky cause the person I spoke to had a thick accent and I felt there was a bit of miscommunication.

If you are interested in authentic Korean food including BBQ, this is the place to go. The selection on the menu is impressive and the service is outstanding. This is not a place for hamburgers and fries. This is a restaurant that takes the quality of its food seriously, emphasizing fresh ingredients to create traditional Korean food at an affordable price level. We certainly will visit the restaurant again to explore menu options.

This restaurant serves absolutely delicious Korean food and drinks. It is a bit pricey, but worth it for what you get. The restaurant is inside a converted house, so the atmosphere is very relaxed and homely. I recommend sitting outside by the bar area where you can look out at the pool. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Parking can be a problem if it is busy.

I love going to Shillas! I had a father daughter date tonight and as always the food was amazing. I really enjoy interacting with the host! Each time I go there he speaks a lit bit more Korean with me and I understand a bit more.

What a lovely Sourh Korean experience! The host is friendly and hospitable. The food is absolutely scrumptious at a very reasonable price. My favourite: the cinnamon tea and kimchi pancakes! Beautiful suburban setting. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely return.

Great, personal, warm, family service

I always go with Korean friends so I suppose the food is authentic. Acquaintances at the Korean embassy also recommend eating there. Anyway, the food is out of this world. Plenty of safe parking. Child friendly. We always book a private dining room.

A lovely little place thats relatively hidden, and really deserves support. The food is amazing, and authentically Korean. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering what youre getting. The staff are incredibly friendly, even going to the trouble of explaining how the various dishes are meant to be eaten, if you ask them. Order one of the barbecue dishes, and the meat will be prepared in front of you. Highly recommended!

Great food. Professional service, real authentic Korean cuisine made by a Korean chef. I particularly love that the chef doesnt use any preservatives, colourants or artificial additives in her food. Delicious

This place is one of my all-time favorite restaurants to visit for any occasion, and a must if you wish to experience Korean cuisine at its finest.

I love this restaurant. The food is absolutely amazing, service is great - the owner will come to your table and explain the menu, make suggestions plus explain how certain dishes are to be consumed. Very reasonable prices considering how stuffed we were (a group of 9). The kitchen does tend to close a bit early though, so ordering everything ahead is a good idea.

The staff are so friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is a little underwhelming, but once you taste the food, it no longer matters. Shilla makes for a fantastic date night, and you can bring your own wine.

A few months in my return to S.A after having lived in the ROK for a number of years some friends brought me to the Shilla for soju and we liked it. The food was good, the kimchi fresh (NB :D) also, the staff and owners were quite welcoming, simply making a person wish they could move in... Its also rather well priced too^
