Awesome gym..pity nobody answers the phone

Clean, well managed gym, can get busy at times.

Smaller than I expected but all round good.Its got nice locker rooms

As I sat there waiting for my Kauai shake today I see how an elderly man, who can barely walk, struggles with his wheelchair through the gates as 5 or 6 virgin active employees stare at him over the front desk. No one offering to help. He gets to the second door and struggles to open it again, the employees still staring, and thats when I decided to jump up and help him. You can see that these employees are not proud of their jobs and have no respect for elderly people. Besides that the shake tatsed weird as well and I was not impressed to say the least.

Half of equipment not in use. Impossible to social distance. Unfriendly staff. People hog the few working equipment. What a mess. Worst experience every single time.

I enjoy working out at this gym. There is always enough space to move around and to never queue for using equipment. The gym is always clean and neat.The staff are always happy, friendly and helpful.I fully recommend!

Virgin active mall@ reds *was* always a definite step up compared to planet fitness. now not so much. the calf machine and a few other gym equipment is out of order for now more than a year. no effort is being made in fixing these equipment. i have complained numerous times without success. considering moving to planet fitness....

Covid-19 compliant 😷Can enter from the bottom parking lot. KAUAI has full smoothi menu but limited food. Pool is well kept and really nice temperature, excellent tri athlete Nico Sterk is one of the resident coaches.Bathroom features steamroom and sauna.Staff are always friendly and helpful.

Water is always excellent. Best in gauteng.Changing rooms need an upgrade comparatively with other Virgin active gymms

Very bad experience. Today.13 Feb .Forced open my lock in mens changing rooms and stole the cash from my wallet!!

Great gym. The staff and the instructors are very friendly and always at your service. The gym is a all-rounder and can cater all your needs for the gym. They offer great classes for men and ladies and have a nice free weight section with some great machines the pool is never crowded and nor is the sauna.. over all great place great vibe...

Nice training experience

I have recently changed from the Old Eds to Mall@Reds as I moved to Centurion. People are definitely unfriendly here and my first experience using the Gym was uncomfortable. Hopefully as I use it more the ambience will change. I must admit the staff are super efficient, but could be friendlier. A smile and being pleasant doesnt cost anything.

Nice environment to work out in, and is open till late for those who unable to go from early in the morning until peak hours. And staff is always friendly and ready to assist.

Intimate gym. Not as big as others but good facilities. The yoga studio is quite nice and tranquil

I think this gym is overpriced for the facilities it offers . R950 p/m and the air-conditioners dont work, its very hot and humid inside. The machines are old and dont have the latest technology. Im only forced to go there because its the closest to my house

The Virgin Active at Mall@Reds is at best adequate. There is ample parking, and the location is great. However, the maintenance of the gym is severely lacking. Squeaking machines, out of order equipment and broken bathroom stalls are the norm here. Cleanliness is also not fantastic, with the bathroom stalls usually looking and smelling terrible. When its quiet, this gym is fine, but when it gets busy, it becomes a nightmare, and it seems they have no intention of managing the number of people entering.

Nice enough. However the weight section is severely lacking in order. The staff clearly dont bother with re ordering the weights as everything is all over the place and often times just straight up missing

Shocking to see under current circumstaces how many members are not using towels. Have requested the Manager, Koketso, to please act on this. But sadly situation is still the same.

Youll be hard pressed to find a better drop off point for your kids in the area, you can leave them running around in the large open studios that people definitely dont use to work out in, or , leave them to play on the machines because people definitely also dont want to use those.10/10 better than Spur play area

Has all the basic facilities. Does not have an indoor running track but spin class, Zumba, pool, steamer, aerobics, kids care, Kauai juice bar and bio are all there.Can get a bit hot and stuffy in the gym when full - seems the aircons couldnt keep up

I visited this club for the first time yesterday morning as I had business in the area and I was extremely surprised... Very large training area, friendly staff, plus a great Kuai, I couldnt fault a thing, thank you!

New equipment is great, just had a few experiences where items were not wiped down by previous users and neither cleaned by the cleaners. A little concerned of the hygiene , maybe i was at the wrong equipment at the wrong time more than once

It depends on what type of exercises u will be doing..... the weight section is definately too small for the ppl using it.. I would only use the weight section in the quietest time of day, as even minor traffic causes u to wait endlessly for a machine or bench . Cardio section is large and well spaced....you will always find a cardio machine to use even in the busiest of timesPool is always on point....changing room always cleanBottom line... if u focused on weight training use another virgin active...but if u into cardio this is the gym to workout at.

I usually only come here to use the pool which is always at a decent temperature. The rest of the club feels quite small and lacks a functional training area.

Its a nice Virgin gym but not as big and equipped as I think all Virgin Active health clubs should be. The staff is not as friendly as other clubs

Old style to contemporary...upgrade of the old machines with the latest machines on the market should be the next project

I have been training here for 8 Years one of my favourite gyms though it has become to overcrowded as Virgin Active just keeps on sighing up new clients where this branch is to small to accommodate everyone.It is time to enlarge this gym or build other gyms closer to Laduim/Forest Hill.
