Really bad service. Their agents are criminals. I went there to ask about membership fees and everything. Then I was happy about everything. I registered my details. I told them I would come back to confirm my membership, as there was a possibility of me moving back to Mpumalanga. So they told me they would not file my contract. I never paid for the tag to activate my membership, but they claimed I did.They then started debiting my account. I reversed the first debit order, I asked the agent who was helping by what means were they debiting my account, as I never paid for the tag nor used the gym even once.Forward to 5 months, they say my account has been handed over to lawyers. This was after I disputed the claim, had various calls with their head office about this matter. The head office people said that they see that my membership with the Branch (Menlyn Branch) is not yet activated, but the branch claims I have been to the gym.I dont know why they have to lie or make false claims in order to ruin other peoples credit records. I did not use their facilities even once. The first and the last time I was there, I was even wearing formal.. You are criminals and are represented by criminals.

If i could give half a star i would. I have never seen such unprofessional staff ever.They holler and harass paying clients to leave the gym earlier than the closing hours and then turn off the music and lights prematurely in order to close the gym earlier.Please appoint more competent staff who are willing to do the work.I will not be back

Planet Fitness Menlyn has excellent facilities. I transferred from the Queenswood Planet Fitness branch to the Menlyn branch and am truly satisfied with my choice! The equipment are kept clean and in well-serviced condition, the mens-room and other facilities are immaculate and the best of all you are always welcomed with a smile.All of the above motivates me to spend more time in the gym, but, the view of the Pretoria/Menlyn skyline is what gets me there!

Admin is very slow, staff not always that helpful. Always request a hard copy of your contract on the day that you signed it. Had the case where the sales consultant changed dates and amounts on his copy and added onto the system. Luckily I still had the hard copy. Been waiting about 5 months for them ro rectify the problem.The gym itself is not that bad, can become a bit crowded but most of the time its okay. They have more than enough cardio equipment.

Excellent gym, but how can a gym with so many members have only one squat rack? On some mornings the squat rack wont be available for the full hour and a half that Im there.Get at least one more squat rack and play literally any other music (go ask PF Olympus for tips here) then Ill rate it 5 stars.

Awesome gym, great location, friendly staff... Would get 4stars possibly 5 if they could get another Squat rack... Its quite a busy gym and members struggle to get a chance at the Squat rack since its such a versatile and popular piece of equipment.

I have never seen a company/franchise this big, handling complaints so pathetically. Planet Fitness has been deducting the wrong amount for membership fees since May 2021 and to date, the issue has not been resolved, nor have I received any feedback regarding my query to date. My signed contract with the agreed membership fee, does not seem to be enough evidence for them to reimburse me! When I call, the answer remains I dont know - absolutely disgusted in the way PF conducts business.

Great amenities, clean throughout, spacious.Only issue though is that the WiFi doesnt quite reach/cover the lower floor and some equipment could be swapped out for others that would receive more use - there is plenty of space after all, why not put it to better use.Havent had much interaction with staff, but they do seem capable and friendly.

After months after cancelling my contract, of false promises, after two years of not missing one payment, Planet Fitess refuses to stop debiting my account. I have phoned the call centre and head office, I have requested my policy documents, and never receive a response. Like clockwork, on the second of each month my account is debited, I reverse the debit order which leads to a follow up call from planet fitness wanting to know why I havent paid... (a cancelled policy). All the calls are recorded but nobody seems to ever know that the contract is cancelled, there are now over 10 calls of me cancelling my contract and thinking that the issue has been sorted out. I will never recommend this gym to anyone and will let everyone know of my absolutely awful experience. My only option is to go to the ombudsman. For a health related company you sure do cause a lot of stress.

Have to change it to 1 star. Only one lat pull down machine, row combo. There was two, then they removed it. There are loads of other machines that are not being used. Every time doing back is a problem. You have to wait. I can understand they need more space, but remove a machine that doesnt have three or more purposes rather a machine with only one purpose which is hardly being used. Like the bench machine.

This Gym just wants your money.I looked at joining them but never finalized the process as i did change my mind and did inform the manager Kalvin of the change only to discover the next month that their debit order has already been loaded to my account regardless of the fact that o decided NOT TO JOIN and did dully inform them of the decision!!!

The water is cold! I’ve been complaining about this and no one takes me serious! Some of us workout in the early AMs and hot/warm water is a need. It’s winter now. Nonetheless! The water should be mid warm or hot! This is frustrating.

Love the gym and people, and hate to give the 2 stars, but you got to get another Squat rack... Squat racks are used for shoulder press, squats, Deadlifts, rows, and more... This is 4 of the major lifts... How do you only have 1 rack...We are not angry Planet Fitness, just a bit disappointed.#smith machine is not a Squat rack.Also if you can straighten the mirrors it will greatly improve peoples form and help with injury prevention and imbalances.Thank you Planet Fitness. Nice gymHowever I feel if the staff are going to harass me if my mask drops a little during my set. They should hold that standard with the regulars as well. I will not be victimized in front of massless individuals.Social distance is clearly non existent...

Disrespectful way of approach to customer when contacted with a serious matter on the phone. Shame on you lady, Shuyen, from Planet Fitness Menlyn, I hope you will get a proper warning!And most importantly, people, be aware of Planet Fitness scam, when you sign a contract you MUST request for hardcopy of your contract and keep it, otherwise you will likely to get a surprise like me!I signed for 12 months contract but now they claim that I have 24 months contract, I requested if they could send me the copy of the contract via email but they keep saying that they cannot find it. A complete blow up.Now, I have to pay extra cancellation fee of R2300 to make an immediate cancellation. Never ever!

The biggest drawback is that the gym only has one Squat rack. Rather steer clear if you are following a serious program or get in line.

In general, I would not refer anyone to Planet Fitness as their memberahip fees are extremely high for a below par service being offered. My membership fees are sitting at R650 per month, not even at a mega club, and I can only use this specific gym and no other club in the country. I for one am just waiting for my contract to finish whereafter I will be joining a private gym for half the price and exactly the same equipment.

The gym is not too spacious, but they have enough equipment to help desk employees with some form of rehabilitation. Fitness Icon South Africa gives the best fitness sessions there.

Super friendly staff. They call it exclusive but what they mean is that its small. Theyve got all the basic equipment but the second a few more people arrive, it becomes over crowded fast.

The place is clean and the staff is friendly. I like it. But the classes per week too few. There are only one or two per day in the afternoon and only about 10 people are allowed to attend. Ridiculous! 🙄 the worst part is that there are no classes on Friday afternoons 🤦‍♀️I mean, really?!🤷‍♀️ For the why?

Stunning views of the highway, streets and surroundings from the inside. Lovely facilities, beautiful and new equipment that is always clean. The gym is also relatively empty when I go (in the early morning) so thats great. No waiting at the machines, and always a friendly receptionist receiving you with a smile.

The service is great.... I love the modern, open layout of the gym. Theyve got all the necessary equipment required for good training purposes and the view is phenomenal... You can see the N1 highway, Menlyn Park Shopping Centre, Menlyn Maine, Times Square Casino, and a great view of Pretoria East... I love it... And my favorite part... The sunrise in the mornings!

Why I love this place? Its a gym, obviously... But the nice part about this branch is that theyre not too busy, even during peak times.

Not a bad gym but very over hyped, its not all that. Only faults with the actual gym I can mention are that there is only one medium sized boxing bag and a very basic calisthenic section.As for the staff they are generally friendly and helpful apart from one or two that seem to have a bit of small man syndrome going on. I would have given two stars if it wasnt for the manager who helped me sort out my contract with the moreleta branch manager.I also would have given four stars if the contract wasnt a problem to start with...

Its a great place. A lady by the name of Tiyane was very helpful and polite towards me from the day she called to check if Id be still coming for an appointment. Everyone is friendly and I like that the equipment is always in a standard condition. The is a lot of equipment here so I dont think there would be any need to wait for someone to finish their sets or even worse, have someone bother you by exercising on your equipment while youre still on your break. The WiFi there is great, I mean like you dont even need to be a member to access the WiFi wheres by my old gym that was needed and yet it was still slow. Theres like around 8 shower rooms by the gym and a lot of lockers.Id advice anyone who lives near the area or anyone who just wants good service to come here.

Awesome equipment but thats about all. Staff have no problems taking your money, but after that: dont expect much service or friendly staff. In particular the new manager is unhelpful and the sales staff think theyre doing you a major favour attending to any queries. They also arent there on almost the whole day on Fridays- when youll be asked to make an appointment and theyll call you back, which they dont. Good luck if you get to speak to their manager who is apparently never at the office except at times you happen not to gym. Massive mission to bring a friend, even just to check out the gym during a single work out with you- although possible, is still a major bummer. Of late the staff have massive attitudes. I regret ever signing up

Member for 4 months now, no complaints apart from the repetitive music. Plenty of gym equipment, clean change room, showers, and steam room. Good WiFi and a nice view of the Menlyn area.

A beautiful new gym. New equipment and friendly staff. It is in a really trendy setting and was filled with trendy clients.

There are some short comings. Slow personal service, the music could be louder and the free weights work at increments of 2.5.Big gym and its kept clean 💪

Nice clean modern club. Well equipped though entertainment function on machines dont work and heart rate monitors dramatically inaccurate.
