A little piece of heaven for those who love fishing, nature and family time. Small but so peaceful. In the middle of the busy city you suddenly find this.

The water pump makes alot of noise and causes convenience.. They expect us to fish with all that noise the whole day long. Fishing is also not easy there.

Great fishing spot but the place was not cleaned and you cant really use papgoei because your 2nd hook get stuck on plants when you catch a fish.

Lock Nest fishing is a great place to spend a day fishing or a night if you prefer to fish during the night. Conveniently located close to Pretoria it makes for quick trip to do some fishing.The facilities are very basic with a male and female toilet. The females do get a shower but there is nothing for males, for this reason I do not recommend camping the weekend. The fishing sites have brick built braais but on our last visit the grids were not there anymore, so take a braai grid if you intend to use that facility. Because the dam is located on a working farm there is loads of flies around so take some bug spray if you intend eating anything in peace. Overall a good fishing spot with loads of potential for future improvements.

A quaiet private dam that you can go for day or camp overnight. The dam is well stocked and you are in for a treat if you go out for some bass fishing.They also have carp and kurper and dam is very clean and prices are exelent.This is one of my favorite spots and is always 1 st choice of dam i you want to fish and braai and spend time with the family.And if you are in Pretoria its literly around the corner.

So i havent even been there nor do I tgink I ever will!!!!!I made a reservation more than a week in advance to camp at stand 5 and do try and catch some proper fish as show on the website but now to days before we have to be there imtold that unfortunately there will be a party and there will be a Jetski now if you enjoy fishing you know how that is going to end.So i have spent money to get everything in order and they tel me to move my camping day that i booked to accommodate others!!!!Clearly my money is not good enough but the guy with the Jetski is probably paying more that is why t my business is irrelevantWhat a shame was really looking forward to this!!!
