Defender Trophy has to be experienced by any wild camping, nature loving, Defender owner. We have done two (2018 - Baviaanskloof and 2019 Transfrontier - Limpopo/Zimbabwe/Botswana) and while completely different to each other they were both enjoyable, kind to the vehicles, well guided by Johan, great comradery amongst participants and AMAZING prizes. A shoutout to the SA and Zimbabwe customs / border control who set up a temporary border office for the 30 + Land Rovers to cross the dry River bed into Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe even set up a welcoming committee, giving out free sample refreshments as we entered the country. Beautiful people. Beautiful experience. If you are thinking about whether you should do a Trophy - do it.
