Some of the worst customer service I have ever seen, rivaling that of a DMV in durban central.They never answer the phone lines, have held onto my passport for over 2 months, repeatedly asking for proof of payment that I have sent through 3 times, havent replied to any emails as to the whereabouts of my passport or the progress of my application in weeks, the delivery of my passport was signed by them 1 month and a half ago and they tell me on email they dont know the whereabouts?How can a consulate lose the passports of the citizens trying to utilize their services, have 0 correspondence, never answer their phone lines and do nothing for weeks on end? Even in an emergency situation??
The stuff were very friendly
Efficient. Filled in my paperwork and received my replacement passport within 15 business days (stated in email it normally takes 20 business days). Only giving 4 stars because phoning this embassy usually results in a voice message, even in the case of emergency.
So easy to deal with, the best service Ive received in a long time. Compared to our service in South Africa, dealing with them was a welcome breath of fresh air.
No Stars At All. Too much effort and paperwork involved, its hell. and they deny tourist visa for me ..reason being that i wont return, I own property here in SA!, I own a business!! I have sufficient funds for a 2 weeks visit seriously, 7000 CAD for 2 weeks!! and still denied, F! you Canada embassy, I will rather spend my vacations in USA like i did last year,!!! and spend my dollars in NewYork!!!!

As a Canadian, I’m embarrassed for my government and the woefully poor communications channels available to South Africans looking to ask questions of the consulate (ie for a permanent resident looking for a travel doc). Calling the main number simply results in a dead end of frustration that includes an incomprehensible voice message without a corresponding IVR. If trying to drive all comms to the website (or the exclusively outsourced service provider) then at least make an online chat facility available.
The service was discriminatory based on ones nationality, study visa denied because of l qoute, Due to the social and economic situation in Zimbabwe l feel you will not leave Canada. How does one remain in the country with a study visa equivalent to the period of study? I feel ones right to education has been violated and the rejection contradicts United Nations vision and principles to eradicate poverty through education
The curry served here smells and looks very similar to that sold at the Saxonwold Shebeen. Take aways delivered by ZS-Oak aircraft which is a unique attribute of the service.
The embassy is really efficient and helpful its just the prices are in Canadian dollars so the exchange rate with your bank will dictate that price not the SA price they offer
Will never apply for canada visit, why should I spend and waste my money to explore a country who are not even willing to give a tourist visa.
I went to finalized documents from my family to move to Canada and everything went well as planned and they moved abroad with they help

Im sure they mean well in everything they do but it would be a lot more appreciated if they stated that people should stop applying for student visas than to allow people to pay the application fee 3-5 times just to get a denial.
