I booked Kilowatt Productions to provide a DJ for my wedding and they provided an excellent and professional service at a reasonable price!

Entrance songs were played as requested. Dance music was not as requested at all, not even the genre I selected.Package was supposed to include smoke machine for first dance only as well as some lighting. None of those were provided.*They responded saying I didnt pay for optional extras. Over email, theyve only insisted that it was provided? Why two different stories.I am only referring to whats included in the standard package in my review! They blatantly lied and repeatedly insisted all was provided. My photos, video and confirmation from many guests prove otherwise.They are also well informed that I was forced to use them by the venue close to the wedding date which was error on the Venues part, not mine. I had my own dj secured by deposit which I had to cancel. Clearly a very unethical company!*Search Google reviews for Bell & Blossom wedding venue, more guests have complained about DJ Kilowatt over there.

Very Professional - The team traveled from PTA to Yzerfontein in Cape Town, we had a beach wedding, no other supplier was willing to travel this distance (and not break the bank) and do a setup on the beach. Thank you Kevin and Melissa for going the extra mile for us, you made our wedding perfect!

Kilowatt productions was the DJ at my wedding, and overall, it was a complete disaster.We met with the owner 2 weeks before the wedding to ensure that our day would go as perfectly as we imagined, we were promised the music would be as requested, however the promise was not kept.Things that went right:- Walking down the aisle music was as requested;- DJ arrived on time;- Equipment was of superior quality.Things that went wrong:- The music requested to be played during dinner time was not played;- Music played during party was not as requested;- Guests had to step in numerous times to play music, because, well, the music being played was pathetic;- The same type of music was played for extended periods, although we requested a good variety;- Songs were repeated numerous times;- The shift between the end of a song to the start of a new one was not smooth at all;- DJ killed the music between songs and there was silence on numerous occasions, as he tried to put the next song on;- DJ abandoned the DJ station to socialize with our guests, and left the station to be controlled by our guests;- DJ left the location 30 minutes before he was scheduled to leave;- Later, the DJ blamed all above infractions on the MC, who only stepped in and gave reasonable orders because the music he was playing was outright appalling.- The smoke machine was never put on (were we supposed to baby the DJ to do what he was meant to do? I certainly wouldnt want to do this on my wedding day...)- He later remembered there was also dance-floor lighting, and this was put on very late, and only for a short period.Overall, our wedding party was ruined - a day we will never get back.The owner later contacted us and received our above concerns very well - we will never be able to get our wedding party back, and re-do it the way wed want to. Either way, thanks to the owner for hearing out our concerns.
