Very friendly staff and the food is okay, it could be better as every dish we tested had this sweetness in it. The other thing is the space, the restaurant is in a shop, no ventilation, you can feel the kitchen heat coming in, one aircon is not enough for a summer day heat in Pretoria, there are seats outside however but to be honest, its in the alley and people brush on you when they pass by, on thier way to Spar supermarket. The last thing is the seating, the chairs are high but hard and uncomfortable, good for a quick bite but not for a fine dining experience,

We love Indian Curry. And having eaten in India lots of times when on business trips, we can confidantly say - This place has the best Indian Food in Pretoria.

Ordered the `popular bunny chow. Worst decision of the day. The curry was sweet, meat had no salt, potatoes were half cooked. Perhaps Im being too harsh by comparing to a traditional Durban curry. Wont be buying this again.

Today I was a bit lazy to cook lunch. So I ordered in. Staff is friendly. Food is no where close to proper Indian curry. I ordered the lamb tikka masala and 3 Chicken bunny chows for lunch today. Lamb tikka masala was very creamy and tasting sugary sweet. Chicken bunnies extremely bland. All curries look the same and nearly taste the same. Im quite disappointed in the poor quality of curry cooked by so called Indian restaurants in Pretoria. I grew up eating real Indian curries and also cook my own curries. Some of these restaurants take many for a ride who dont really know what a true Indian curry should taste like. Just like Tranna restaurant in parkview, they keep on being a dissappointment.

Food is not nice. Chicken curry had no flavor and garlic naan had a strange off smell to it, did not eat it.

I love Curry and ate at many other places before but Rasam is by far the best in taste and in value for money. I would highly recommend them.
