I usually dont contribute a review if I had a negative experience at a place since it could be an anomaly but DHL Hatfield deserves the exception for bad service. Staff just did not seem interested and there were literally no customers in the store and you would think this was a favor to me nevermind the premium one pays for DHL. Wow Im just going to leave it at that.
The lady who handled my request to mail a document abroad earlier today (05 August) was extremely polite and efficient. I am eternally grateful.
The problem may be that they are under staffed but I waited really long to be assisted.The heating is on full blowing straight on the area where we have queue. It’s very I comfortable to stand with an Aircon blowing heat on you.I also don’t think it is hygienic with the current covid situation.They should activate the ticket system again so customers can wait outside.

DHL needs to relocate. The office is on a one way busy road. They have 7.5 parking (you must possess well tested driving skill to use that half parking ) spots for customers. Their offices are tiny and mostly filled with nice pictures of other DHL locations in the world. I saw the water cooler and the coffee machines but there was no cup in sight. This is 2018, customers can fill their own details. They do perform an essential service but, oh my word, they need some serious competition.
Rigid but prompt services and they are fully compliant with the Covid-19 guidelines.

I called and they took my call, and register everything so they can come and collect my parcel, they really waisted my time. it was never collected. Until the next call I got from Catherine who told me they are sorry the driver came to my house and I said I don’t have money to pay for the parcel. I was not happy. No driver came to me.I suggest if you are not a big company or an individual person don’t call DHL Middelburg, they don’t take the small people serious. They care only for accounts holders.

I phoned to ask how to send a certain type of package and I was given instructions completely contradictory to what the ladies in the front say. Those ladies also contradict what both the call center and destinations country DHL website say. They wasted my afternoon I have to go back and drop off my package.

I called the centre asking if I could collect my parcel. They said yes it is at the front desk. I literally drive all the way there only to hear that the driver left with the parcel. So then they make me phone the driver and negotiate with him, even though it was their error. Now I have to wait at reception until at some point the driver decides to return.
Shipping a piece of precious gargo for a deceased loved one requires a great courier and DHL has proven to be a reliable and efficient vehicle from when my late beau used to sent me gifts and today the previous piece of item was courier and delivered safely intact

DHL is an international courier well known for its name the world over. It is rather situated in an awkward place to reach when you are not already on Pretorius street.it is a small place with parking for about 10 cars. It is just near Honda or Volvo car dealers on Pretoria road.
As usual the ladies help with a friendly attitude!

If 0 stars were possible, I would give them a 0. My parcel was supposed to come on the 3rd and its the 8th today, and I still havent received my parcel. Contacted them numerous times and Im always hit with the response of tomorrow I will receive.

This place deserves a 0 star rating.I phoned them for a quote on a package from the Netherlands to South Africa. The lady on the phone gave me a quote based on the dimensions and value I gave her. I was happy with the quote, but I had to physically come into the store to book the collection. She gave me the same amount quoted and told me the volumetric weight. I agreed and let her book the package. A few days later I get a phone call saying that I have to pay VAT and Taxes, which I agreed to, but it was more than half the value of the package, which is very unusual for the products that Im importing. The following day, I get an email from a service desk advisor saying that I declared the wrong size of the package and that it was 3 times the weight that I paid for. She sent me the amount that I still needed to pay along with a bad copy of the banking details (no official invoice was made for the outstanding amount). I phoned her and asked if she could send me proof of the measurement as well as a Tax/Vat breakdown. She said she will, but never did that. I decided to go to DHL the next day and figure out where the miscalculation was lying as I was not willing to make a payment without proof and a proper invoice. After a VERY long argument, They finally showed me a photo of the screen with the new measurements. It was a few millimetres difference to what I gave them when I asked for the quote. Turns out, the lady quoted me on the actual weight of the package and not the volumetric weight. I explained to them that this was not my mistake and that I should not be paying for their mistake, to which they said that they will not release the package until I pay the difference. They slowly lost their patience with me and started getting defensive, threatening to show me the terms and conditions that I signed . They absolutely REFUSED to admit that they did me wrong.Luckily for them, this was a very time sensitive parcel and I agreed to pay the amount.Bottom line: Avoid at all cost. You would get better service at the post office (and that says a lot).
The item to be delivered was not delivered although it was reported to be in the local office. No notice was given that the pre- arranged time could not be met.The phone is not being answered to establish possible alternative delivery
Ive been phoning... It think its the 10th phone call Ive made. Everytime I speak to someone else. They dont send me the clearance invoice after phoning and phoning. I should send my phone bill to them. Supervisors are never available

Inefficient handling of customers and long waiting lines. Super friendly staff, but not much they can do when forms are not available to fill out when one waits is line and the self check machines are out of order. Most importantly, the package arrived on time.

Worst service ever. Do not use this courier. For international packages, use Fed-X. I paid top dollar for fast delivery, but they gave my package to some unknown person???? They cannot even read my name and address on the package. Rather get a courier that can read.

DHL on pretorius street doesn t gave a good customer service. The employees are careless of the customers, do what they want, are super slow and talk among themselves, loudly while the customer is waiting to be served. I wouldnt recommend that office

This is one of the worst services I have received by a courier service. I lost my package because these people lost it. I am yet to be reassured or compensated. I advise people to go somewhere else. Management has totally failed to deal with a relatively simple issue. Customer care services dont know how to follow up clients when a complaint is lodged. Getting a reference number is like trying to deliver a child...DHL South Africa should be ashamed of this service.

The service was not very efficient as the lady was trying to help 2 customers at once so she kept swapping between myself and another customer. She was also having a fight we a customer about the delivery of a parcel, I dont believe she handled it right. What should have taken me 10 mins took more than half an hour and I was 2nd in the queue.

Absolutely terrible service. I have used them in the past and every single time the driver has arrived late to collect the parcels. I had also made a few attempts to open an account with the courier though I have been ignored for the past year.
