Came here for a dental check up and cleaning. Everyone, the receptionist, assistant, dentist and oral hygienist, were all very friendly, professional and patient with me. I was very happy with the service I received here and will return.

Terrible experience. Dr van onselen called my wife stupid and selfish because of differing opinions on the vaccine. The way he went about the consultation, which we paid for, reveals not only his shoddy character but the caliber of health care professionals that intercare is willing to hire. If you want to persuade someone on a given topic, try dialogue and reason, resorting to name calling reveals more about you than it does anything else.Will NEVER come back to this or any other intercare again. Disgraceful practice.

I went to the Dr Marlene E on Friday because Dr Pretorius is always fully booked (It was a really awful experience and I’m still sick) I went in explained my symptoms she listen to my breathing looked in my ear and said its not an infection which I was happy with but I asked about why I’m in so much pain she was really dismissive and looked annoyed that I was asking questions. Her answer however was (look you could have covid cause you have all the symptoms) aren’t doctors suppose to recommend testing as a mother of 3 she completely stressed me out I left there in pain worried, stressed. She Prescribed me acc 200 and 6 pain pills. I’ve not slept well I’m in so much pain. Some of these Dr honestly don’t care about patients a specially if we don’t look like them but they get paid and we must go back and pay R630 even if they give us no service. I always see Dr Pretorius when we go see him he listens, checks, explain and you always feel better.

Confirmed my appointment the day before, when I got there they double booked and couldnt help me.Waited two hours for an appointment when they booked me into the wrong department. Waited another 45 mins only to be told the doctor was not available. Avoid at all cost

A hopelessly inadequate intercare, waiting 13 min for virtual call just to hear system not on.Phones not answered! Dr so inefficient you can cry in your hands. Send me for Covid test at dirty venue, do not come back to me about urine test, what a sham and hole!

Excellent service from reception, to doctor Fourie, and the pathologist that assisted my son... I am very happy, thank you for your kindness and going out of your way in making my son comfortable. We were walk-in patients and were assisted in a total of 30mins, received my sons blood results first thing the next morning. Thank you all again.

Terrible service. Exorbitant billing for follow up procedures that were verbally communicated to be free of charge. They do not answer their phones when calling to query billing. They do not even send you a invoice afterwards. It feels like they have an open cheque book to your medical savings.

Receptionist so busy taking temperature and doing hand sanitizing that she forgot to mark of that patient arrived. Waited more than a hour and had to ask when i will be helped and then receptionist made if she never saw me and did not help me but i had my slip that she did the covid question with me. Very poor serves.

Arrived 90 minutes ago to receive an injection at the walk-in, still waiting to be helped. Only two patients have been helped so far. The receptionist is also rude, I would recommend visiting an alternative Intercare branch.

I was a walk in patient at Intercare Glenfair. This was about 4:30in the afternoon. I went to work and just started feeling worse and worse as the day went on. By 3:30 I phoned my husband to come and pick me up. By this time I was shivering of cold. On our way home I told him I think we must go to Intercare I think I need to see a doctor. I was told I can see a doctor but just had to wait a while. I did not have to wait that long before a male doctor came out and called my name. By this time I felt so cold and miserable. He showed me to a booth and told me to wait. Then he started moaning to the other doctors about how hard they had to work that day. It went on and on. One of the doctors came to see me and said I needed to take a swine flu test. The male doctor then just walked in and said ‘follow me’, and walked off. On his way past reception he told the receptionists to stop taking in any more patients. This was about 5:30. I then had to wait for the results still dying of cold. I was called in again and told to sit in another room and wait. And he was still going on. Now my whole point doctor is this. At my office we don’t get paid overtime but when there’s a crisis we put in the hours. I felt so uncomfortable hearing how unwelcome we were. Where do you see a shop closes it’s doors at 5:00 so that they don’t have any more costumers at 7:00. No they stay open until 7:00. In any case, there were about 5 patients waiting and you were 3 doctors. You still had about an hour to go. Then the receptionist dared sending in another patient and off you went again. The worst of all is that after making us feel so unwelcome you still charge us an exceptional fee. I don’t think I will go there again.

Today I went in to see the doctor to check up on my swollen wrist. I was already a bit weary of going to the doctor due to Covid-19, so I was already a bit stressed out. I was seated in the waiting room playing on my phone when an elderly doctor walked up and started shouting at all of us in the waiting room for being on our phones. There were no signs up anywhere, nor had anyone tell us that this wasn’t allowed. I understand that it’s not advisable to be on your phones but we were scolded without any reason. Never in my life have I been spoken to like that. We’re all scared in this time and you would think doctors would have more care towards patients. I will never go back to this establishment again. Poor treatment with no apology.

Its really sad for me to see how in a time like this, how absolutely backwards service and communication has gone at Intercare.First, the service. I can honestly say the reception has always been very friendly, but in terms of the doctors (who we are there to see), just disregard our symptoms and the only course of action they feel necessary is a blood test for covid... (So yes we are in a pandemic, but if we say I have a sore through for instance can I still have that looked at and get a prescription maybe since that is what I need help with?). Not only was the only prescription I received something popular for covid patients, meaning this item is completely out of stock across all pharmacies. This fact was well know at the pharmacies so the fact that the doctors still prescribe this made the visit a complete waste of money and time.Then communication, after you pay your invoice for the visit (IN FULL), you will receive additional invoices afterwards, like for instance PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT, so not only are masks mandatory but you as the patient after paying for a 2minute consultation that does not help you in anyway, they will have the audacity to invoice you the patient, after everything is settled for additional hidden costs.And if you inquire about this, you will receive ZERO commutation back.

Dr Prinsloo, the dentist that treated my wife today on very short notice was excellent and very efficient. She went out of her way to be gentle with my wife, who is teriffied of dentists. Dr Prinsloo is an asset to any practice.

The dentists are really good. I have a paralyzing fear of having to go to the dentist, but Dr Bekker and Dr. De Beer really make it not so bad. Very gentle and nice. I have dentists (and even another Intercare) closer to home, but Ill travel further to see these two fabulous dentists. Thank you for always comforting this big sissy!

Doctors are great. But there is a lack in communication when it comes to medical bills and payment. I have received poor service from the accounts department and lack in response from intercare when you have outstanding medical bills. No form of communication. Highly dissatisfied

Visited the dentist. I was on time but had to wait since they squeezed someone in who walked in without an apointment. When i got helped the dentist spend les than a minute looking in my mouth en send me to another room for xrays. Xrays took 5 minutes and then i had to wait 10 more minutes before i could go back to the dentist because again there was already someone else in the chair being helped.....dentists looked at xrays for 2minutes and refered me to specialist. This cost me R1200. .I went to the spesialist who adviced the procedure can be done in the chair and quoted me. Being a specialist his prices was above the medical aid rate and again i had to pay R500 cash for consultation and if i wish to continue the co payment of R1100.So if the dentist knew what she was doing she would have been able to help me in the chair saving the extra expenses. Now R2000 and 2 consultations later im no better of than day 1.It feels more like being legally robbed

If you dont have an appointment, you could wait a bit, but the service is good, the staff are friendly and helpful. In emergency is good to go and you will be help, but if you can make an appointment and save yourself same wating time.

The online booking function allows you to book an appointment even before the practice opens - avoiding those frustrating phone calls where you just cant get through and when you finally do the Dr is already fully booked.We have made use of walk-in services over weekends and was always seen by caring doctors who paid the necessary attention and helped accordingly. In some instances we were helped immediately and other times had to wait for a bit - depending on how busy the practice is.The reception can be a bit confusing, not knowing which receptionist to go to but once at the counter I have always been helped in a friendly and efficient manner and knew exactly where to go. Leaving the practice I am also never sure if I should report back to reception - this process could streamlined or communicated better.Dr Seef Pretorius is excellent with small babies and kids as well and he is conservative with antibiotic prescriptions - which I appreciate. We have also been to see Dr Mariska Neuhoff a couple of times, she also follows a more conservative approach and is also comfortable (and informed) treating babies and smaller kids.With both these doctors appointments mostly run on time. They listen attentively to problems, give some personal attention and respond to follow up calls.

Today I went to see the nurses to withdraw blood...for bloodtests. I quess I should have told them I have low blood pressure. Dr Lourens did not tell me that I am allowed to drink water before the test. She referred me but gave zero preparation advice. The nurses did not ask about my blood pressure nor did they take it nor did they ask if I have fainted before. As a patient I needed guidance!!! I fainted....felt very sick and am now very fearful to do any bloodtests in the future. Disappointed in Intercare. COMMUNICATE Please!

Stay away from the Dental dept. I was overcharged for just a checkup and they did a shoddy filling job on me which they said was supposed to last for at least a year and didnt even last a week and they said it was my fault and well have to do it again. Highly unprofessional and overpriced.

I just want to thank all the receptionists st netcare glenfair , yesterday i came in with my father who had just had a epilepsy episode at work where he fell and dislocated his hip . We could only transport him with a banner we found at his workplace. He couldnt sit upstraight. The netcare team helped us carry him up and down with the biggest smiles . They really made me feel like everything is going to be okay. Chantal was amazing. So friendly and polite . Even the x-ray team . Ill recommend netcare glenfair to everyone.

My medical needs were not met. The doctor showed no urgency in attending to my concerns instead, she would abruptly brush me off when I asked her questions.Before this incident, I had taken my son who had flu-like symptoms to these doctors. I found the nurse that helps the doctors to be extremely rude and showed no patience with my son. Pathetic service!

A 15 min dentist appointment cost me R980.00 with 0 work done ... Made a dentist appointment on the Intercare website. The dentist told me that their website only provides for 15 min appointments so he wouldnt be able to do any work. (But they still charge full amount even though the website does state 30 min, see attachment.) An expensive lesson I will not forget.
