I like to thank everyone at the call centre for their assistance and help. I found the call centre team very professional and helpful. During these difficult time everyone has to wait for their payment and I can only say that it took a while to get paid, but every time I phoned the team were extremely helpful and kind, it is not the fault of the team that there is a back log of UIF claims. Thank you for your assistance it was appreciated and I shall miss phoning and speaking to you all. Go well and keep safe.

Not all staff are trained properly. They all have different answers for the same query, its quite shocking that one can still be employed through this company yet not do thier job. The best thing to do is to try and generate your own income. There is a big chance your claim will never be paid out or attended to.

Does NOT deserve 1 star. Pathetic, Pathetic, Pathetic!!!I applied for maternity UIF on the 12 May 2021 and its almost September. Status - pending approval from assessors.When I contacted them for an update, they just advised that they cannot confirm when it will be processed and it will take 35 days.Its so sad that the government deducts you for UIF and tax but when it comes to paying out people THEIR money, you have to beg and struggle. Such a disgrace.

Retrenched and its impossible to get hold of them. The guy helps me with my UIF cant log into my account. So now its my responsibility to asked them why and to help me solve the problem. I have phoned them a millions times. They just dont answer the phone, u have mailed them a million times they just dont reply. Do you think there is people to answer the phone or so they just dont care.

This is beyond a joke. I submitted my maternity benefit in February. I have submitted my documents 5 times to the UIF. Every time i phone they say its with an assessor or ï will escalate it, phone back in two weeks.Am I ever going to get paid.

This should be a -1 star. Its sad that its the individuals that pay UIF and their taxes each month are the ones that struggles the most to get UIF benefits to pay out. I have been waiting for more than two months to get my maternity benefits to pay out with no success. But if we dont file our taxes in time we get threatened with fines and even jail time. But the president gives all the non-employed citizens a covid grand while everyone else who follows the rules gets nothing even though we are the ones who keeps the economy running!! Well played!

I applied for benefits on UFiling on 21/12/2020, again on 21/01/2021 and on both occasions my application was referred to an assessor, and on both occasions no response was received from UIF. I evetually started phoning the Call Centre and found that there was documents that was to be uploaded. Nobody contacted me. I phoned an various occasions, and eventually lodged a complain on their complaint web site, just to receive a automated answer due to the number of e-mails received by them, I must call the Call Centre. I was calling the Call Centre as from beginning of February 2021 and nobody can tell me what the status of my application is! Is there anybody that will or can me assist in this 4 month outstanding matter??

They do not deserve even one star! It is so sad, the level of care / service we receive from our own government departments. The call center is of no use, as they cannot give you any of the information you need to know like, when will I get paid? how much will i get paid? for how many months will I get paid? what is the actual status of my claim? They simply say I DONT KNOW and thats that. Its as if they purposely make the process difficult. ALSO, the online platform does not update accordingly or when it does, you still do not get payment for months on end without having to escalate / make noise. I have had to claim twice, first for maternity and then for normal UIF and both times it took months before I received payment having done everything I needed to on my side (not 7-10 days as they say) IT NEVER RUNS SMOOTHLY.

You need to employ competent people who can do the work, I called 5 times today requesting to speak to a team leader and my calls were dropped. My uif claim has been outstanding for months, if you are short staffed then hire more people. Bunch of useless people!@

I have been retrenched in JULY 2020, I have been to UIF office over a dozen times already since last year yet my claim still has not been processed. Government is quick to take money from our salary every month for UIF but when it comes time to pay, they try every trick in the book to make sure you dont get paid the UIF thats due to you.

Stairs leading to 1st floor theres no lights its dark same as the lights next to the lifts have not been working since January 2021. Call centre numbers always on an automated service, the alternative service site (labour.gov.za) is also down, have been trying to access it for more than 3 days. Even emails are answered late with no resolution. No service channel is reachable!

Honestly a pathetic system. Rather go directly to your local UIF offices, at least there you might get proper help. I applied for UIF in November after being retrenched. After the first 35 days, I was informed that a query was logged please wait 5 days. Then wait another 10 days, then wait another 15 days. Last time I was informed it will take 35 days. and now another month has passed and still no UIF and still no answer. Just another corrupt government system taking your money for years, and when you need the assistance it is none existent

Boksburg UIF is terrible, I have spent over 5 hours each time when visiting, the communication is terrible, the employees are extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. Instead of them checking all your forms at once, you have to keep coming back to find out what is wrong with your documents and that you need another one.I thought applying online would be much easier, however it’s a joke. You can’t get hold of any customer service operators as the phone just goes dead. I tried for 2 weeks solid. When sending an email to them, they only reply a month later.

Sasolburg office.... I handed in documentation on 10 Nov 2020. Signed on 8 Dec 2020 and up till today... nothing. A friend handed his documentation in on 3Dec, signed on 15 Dec and received first payment on 16 Dec??????

The numbers listed for UIF support are no longer in use, there is now only one automated number however you cannot speak to an agent, its says you have to email them. So you email them and then there is no response. This is pathetic service. I have emailed them three times already over this past month!

Located within the the Pretoria CBD and within close vicinity of public transport .Although there is no dedicated parking within the UIF office building, there is ample other public parking within a 200m range.The offices are neat and properly maintained. The staff members are knowledgable and have good customer service. Security is visibleThe queues moved fast and I was assisted within 10 minutes of my arrival.

The building is safe and clean with security inside. No parking, you have to park at the the parking across the road to pay and the car will be safe. The employees are friendly and the security will always guide you where to go.
