I purchased a laptop battery. Fair price and delivered promptly. However my laptop rejected the generic battery so I called them. Juan came to my rescue. He sourced an authentic battery. I paid the difference. The generic battery was collected the same day and now I am awaiting the new battery. Great service so far. Impressed.

Had my work laptops motherboard brake. The replacement board is clearly a knockoff as it doesnt have a TPM module or Bluetooth chip. It works but wouldve been nice if I had all the previous modules and chips as i use encryption and Bluetooth for my headset.

I am so happy with the terrific service i received from Chanel and the team at The Notebook Company. I needed a new battery for my somewhat aged Asus ROG laptop. I phoned the agents who promptly informed me that the battery is no longer available and that they cant help me and i should turf the laptop. After some googling i got hold of the notebook company who managed to find the replacement battery for the unit and installed it without extra charge. (installing a battery on these machines is a big deal - you need to disassemble the entire unit)Thanks guys for a great experience. Anyone with Asus related needs - these guys are much better than the agents !!

I have postponed writing this review because of my anger and humiliation that I had to go through. As the saying goes, never write something in anger, but to date, my anger has not subsided, so I decided to write anyway.My experience with this company is very mixed. Unfortunately, the good part is not that important to the result I was seeking, and the bad keeps on festering in my mind.Ill start with the good.When you phone in your laptop is collected and when repaired, delivered to your office. That is fantastic service.The good part ends.The Notebook Company replaced my motherboard and sent it back to me for free (Great service and convenience for me). Then the problems started:They did not insert my motherboards battery, and I had to set the time each time I switched the unit on. I called, and it was collected, fixed and returned free of charge.Once received, the wifi did not work (the previous time it did work). It was collected, repaired and returned free of charge. Thank you again.This time my keyboard did not work. I tried to type in my password for windows, and nothing happened. I sent it back with the person that delivered it.When I got it back, the keyboard was working but completely loose. I could lift it off from the unit and see the inside of the laptop.Still very cool I decided to take the unit in by myself. At the desk, I explained that the keyboard is loose and it would be nice if it could just re-fit it as it should be. You know, like it was when I first sent it in for repairs. After a couple of days, I went back to collect it. One of the technicians (I am not sure what his position in the company is) brought my laptop to me, opened it and started smashing the keyboard apparently to test if it was working. Apparently, it is the customers fault if technicians at The Notebook Company damages or breaks laptops. Instead of making a scene with this pig, I left.At home, I checked the keyboard. It was still loose. The pins keeping the keyboard in place were damaged and bent backwards. Upon removing the keyboard, I saw that most of the screws that hold the motherboard in place were not there. They were just left out. Nice workmanship! I finally had to fix the mess The Notebook Company did myself.I am sure this does not happen to a lot of people otherwise, The Notebook Company would not exist. But it did happen to me, and I am disgusted with their attitude and workmanship. Being aggressive and intimidating to customers does not help either.Needless to say, I will never in my life go back, and you will also never in my life receive a kind word from me in any discussion. I would rather pay for a new laptop or device then go through hell repairing it by you.

I wish I read the google reviews on this company first before ordering from them. I order an item online and to my surprise after contacting them the next day I was informed that the items will take 4 to 8 weeks. No one took any responsibility and my money was refunded. I was instructed that I’ll have all my money back in my account by Thursday THE LATEST , well it’s Thursday now and it’s still not reflecting. They did send proof of refund but still the funds are not reflecting. I see I’m not the only person this has happened to.

Wow, l wish l knew this shop lot time ago, they recently helped me with renting a projector and a screen, guess what, as a first time client, they didnt give me the redtape demands like we want your proof of residence, your passport, trade references or your grandmothers passport and/or your bank balance !I went in and in 30 minuted l was out with leased equipment, when you get there ask for John (Joun), he is very helpful and informative.I will rely on The Notebook Company starting today, especially after being let down by a Randburg rental company that was very unfriendly and rude to me.The rental fees are the best in town !

This was the worst online shopping experience of my life. I bought a charger from this company, it took them three weeks to deliver it and when it arrived it was defective. I requested a refund and it took another three weeks for them to finally help me, they kept claiming that they paid me already but could not provide proof of payment. I sent countless emails and called countless times, it came to a point where I thought of taking legal action. Mr Chris finally assisted and I am grateful but his staff members really mistreated me. Super disappointed.

Be careful when shopping on LaptopSA.co.za, they advertise laptops that are out of stock and have no notices on their website. Call first and ask about stock availability before you part with your money as a refund takes quite long, Im still waiting for my money.

Worst service ever!I called them for a battery so I can replace the one I have .I spoke Cindy who put me through to Jaun . Jaun said the part would take 24-48 hours to get to them as they didn’t have stock.On Tuesday 26/05/2020 I paid and sent in a proof of payment. I have not heard from Jaun and Cindy tells me they don’t know when the part will be there because the internet is down .

Bad Bad Bad. So Im a student and my laptop screen broke, I tried to call in and ask for a screen repair. I was taken in circles for over two weeks. What gets me is that they picked up the phone every day and i kept getting the same excuse of We tried calling you at half past 4 yesterday and we got voicemail which I knew was wrong because obviously I also have the call logs. If something isnt possible to do rather tell the person instead of lying. I wasted two weeks when i couldve taken it somewhere else. They kept telling me they would call me to come pick it up and then make excuses when i call back. Really bad service. Really dissapointed. I ended up taking the laptop to incredible connection because I dont trust this company to fix my laptop and return it without cutting corners and dodging me for weeks. Please improve

My initial experience with them for an insurance claim started out excellent but turned out to be stressful when the right parts didnt arrive. But they managed to resolve it and kept me in the loop until I was happy with the results. After that I went back to buy accessories and upgrade my laptop and their service has been great. They really know their stuff.

Their service FAR surpasses Incredible Connection (some branches doesnt even answer their phones!) and their prices are better.

The shop is at a great location. I do believe they are good in what they do, but I had to sell my laptop and unfortunately they do not by second hand. I would have give them a higher rating if they did. Maybe it is a good idea for the notebook company to buy second hand....?!

Was told my water damaged keyboard on my laptop was irreparable and needed to replace the whole laptop after waiting 4 days, while I got it repaired within one day, quickly and easily through a less reputable computer technician. These people deserve negative stars. Avoid at all costs.I booked my laptop in on Monday 9th September to have them repair GPU fan. They proceeded to waste 7 working days, 9 actual days. They returned the laptop saying the problem was resolved on the 18th of September having only serviced it. GPU fan was still not working, then proceeded to quote me minimum R1800 and 7-12 working days to replace the fan.Proceeded to express my disapproval as politely as I could as I went to Matrix in Kyalami Downs. Matrix specifically in Kyalami Downs proceeded to repair my laptop properly within 2 hours at the price of R250.

I phoned the notebook company to replace my notebooks motherboard. I was put through to a guy named Jason. He told me that it wouldnt really be worth it to replace the motherboard because it is around R5000 to replace it and that i should rather buy a new notebook. Naturally i agreed with him. R5000 is way to expensive for a old notebook like mine. He sent me a few very good options. Im still deciding and will be phoning him within the next week or so to place an order.

Terrible, awful, disgraceful service. I only came here because of the positive reviews I got on Google. I called them more than 20 times, got told Id be called back, it only happened after several follow up 1 hour later. I was told that the charger I wanted was available but halfway driving there they called me and told me it was no longer available. I have wasted fuel and time. I wish the was a negative rating

Went there to sort out my system recovery issues with my laptop, They diagnosed a problem in the hard drive so they replaced for a new one and charged me 4000, the issues with the system recovery still there, went there couple of times to claim they try to fix it but never went away the issue with the system recovery.Very disappointed with them, never would recomend this shop.
