Magnolia Dell is very neglected, full of vagrants and litter. Its a bit creepy accessing Huckleberrys which is still a pleasant place despite its surroundings. Lovely fire for the winter chill and pleasant staff.

You can close your eyes and point in the menu and you will not be disappointed.The great service from polite South Africans makes everything tastes even better.Prices? I wouldnt say it expensive, but it isnt cheap. But the whole experience is worth it.Kids? Its right outside! In a park. Dont come with kids when it is raining.My favourite is when I am with my laptop. So peaceful.

Stunning heritage restaurant in the Park, it reminded me on New Yorks Cafe in the Park .... the staff are the most commendable aspect of this comfortable and non pretentious restaurant, who welcome you like family returning home after a long trip. Service excellent, and if you are new or coming to Pretoria for a visit - do not leave before you have succumbed to a slice of their carrot cake. Moist, nutty and perfect!

Restaurant in Magnolia Dell a quiet, green space in the city. Lawns and a few childrens rides and climbing frames close by. Restaurant has tables indoors and outdoors some under shelter. Good selection of dishes and breakfast was typical but tasty. Prices also about average. Covid precautions adhered to, and staff wear masks.

My family and I visited Huckleberrys restaurant in the park for the first time and I must say Im out of words. The food was divine, the service exceptional, the prices very reasonable and the atmosphere just brilliant. I cannot praise this place enough.Well definitely be back again and again and again.

It is always a pleasure to visit Huckleberrys. The service is excellent, the food - well prepared and tasty and the cakes are great. There are more than enough space for children and dogs to play - without disturbing the adults. A truly pleasant experience.

The quality of the food here has gone down significantly! It used to be one of my top picks in the city a few years ago. I will not be going back and I would not recommend either.

Situated in one of Pretorias oldest parks, Magnolia Dell, the open air setup is a huge bonus. Currently the lawns are lush and the restaurant also helps to care for the surrounding gardens. Safe and ample parking is available for guests. The menu is small, but every item is delicious. I channel all my off campus w ou rk meetings here, given the friendly service and tranquil setting. I had a bran muffin with a delicious cuppacino today, my guest had a scone. Both items were freshly baked. See you soon, Huckleberrys!

The beer is not he coldest but the food is exceptionally good. I hear it get really busy, I was there just after lockdown and it was not extremely busy.The manager is friendly. The staff is friendly.If the beer was cold, Ill give them 5 starts. Other than that, Im a happy citizen.Oh, and their pizza will knock you off your feet.

What a rip-off! Milkshakes came in small, square tumbler glasses and they charged more than other places. I will only be ripped off once. Will not visit them again. Many better places to go to.

I love this place. It is dog friendly so its one of my go to places. The park is lovely, if a bit neglected - there is always so much trash laying around :( the restaurant is lovely and the service is good. Theres a fireplace in the lounge which is so nice. The food is not Michelin gourmet but homey and good sized portions. Worth a visit if you havent been!

The place is perfect for any outing. Menus are superb. Just a concern though. The waiters need to up their level of professionalism. They need to check glasses before serving clients, my glass was not clean. Also, because of the water stream nearby, flies are often an issue. Management can investigate effective ways to combat these. Otherwise, its a lovely place to be.

Great service! Located almost in the middle of Magnolia park this is one of the only restaurants in Pretoria that doesnt look at a parking lot. Relaxed vibe, beautiful setting. Children can play on the park swings and slides. Couples can have a romantic dinner. Good coffee, average food.

Food was excellent and decently priced, the waiters were kind and helpful, quick and attentive.Saw lots of families enjoying their Sunday afternoon on the grounds.The playground seemed safe from rust or any jagged edges, no fence on road so parents just be watchful as always.Dog friendly, but make sure your dog can handle other dogs.A designated smoking area would be nice to avoid upsetting touchy patrons.While Im not sure if its the restaurants fault or not, it would be better if the bits of rubbish lying here and there were picked up. It would probably take a team of 4 or less, under an hour to clean up the bits. It is by no means filthy, just not pristine.

The outdoor area is great, well maintained and clean. I ordered the chefs salad, and I was sadly disappointed. The salad was well presented however, the salad was swimming in water and had no taste. The waiter offered to take back the salad. She came back with the same salad with the water drained of which I was not impressed of. No efforts were made to replace the salad or at least offer something else.

Went for a Saturday brunch. The Chicken Wrap was good, so was the coffee. The atmosphere of this place is really cool, with people walking and playing with there dogs in the park! Service was good. I would definitely return! I consider this one of Pretorias gems.

Very nice setting. The restaurant is situated in a beautiful park close to embassies, the Pretoria CBD and University of Pretoria. Weather permitting you can enjoy your food and drinks outside under the blue African sky. Service is excellent. Lots of parking available just a few metres from the restaurant. After parking you will be greeted by local artists exhibiting their artwork.

Parking was a nightmare as it was a Sunday I went, it was so full, my friend that I was meeting there couldn’t get any parking, they had to park on the road. As well as the parking has no cover so expect your car to be sweltering hot when coming back to it,..But other than that. I didn’t have lunch there but let me say that the food being served Looked and smelt amazing, the portions where very generous too.Speedy service for drinks, and staff where friendlyOverall, nice spot

The quality of the food has declined.For instance, I ordered a pizza. It was dried out. There was very little to no cheese on it. For a Tropicana- there was only 8 (thats correct) small pieces of pineapple on it. Sorry, but I will not recommend this place. The 2 stars are only for the waiter and nothing else.
