Hands down, THE best sushi place in Pretoria. After having lived in Asia for 13 years, I can say that Ichiban Queenswood is closest to the real thing. The nori used in their sushi is fresh and the rice is perfect - not overcooked and not too vinegary (unlike many other sushi shops). Once you try Ichiban Queenswoods sushi, no other sushi will be good enough!Definitely worth the drive from Pretoria East.

Best Thai/Chinese takeout in the area! I won’t go anywhere else. The food is a good quality and quantity for the price you pay. I love their sushi it’s light and fresh, their dumplings and spring rolls are also great!They also do not take long to prepare your meal.

Yesterday I ordered 2 x T5 --got one serving--and vegetable spring rolls-neither if which were included when we took delivery. Further, I had order rice noodles with prawns and vegetables. The dish when we got home was beyond salty, had 6 strips of green pepper, 3 pieces of spring onion and boiled prawns added. No other vegetables. I had asked and paid for cashew nuts to be added and received a tub of sugar coated cashew nuts---not added to the meal.I will NOT get food from Ichiban again.

Ordered the chow mein and the meat (pork) had no taste, the food also leaves an after taste in your mouth thats not pleasant. The chicken was a bit better.

Not up to quality. Fried rice ordered but received plain white rice with carrots. Not how Chinese prepared their fried rice. Chow main was dry no taste. Sorry Ichiban you must pull up your socks.

Always heard people talking about Ichiban at Queenswood centre. So we thought lets give it a go. Was very impressed with the way the owner welcomed us first of all. He then recommended the most popular dishes. I must say i am impressed, the sushi was awesome and the chowfaan was equally delicious. Well done, i will definitely refer people to Ichiban Queenswood.

Sushi was nice. Green curry and sweet and sour pork was very disappointing - most likely a bag of Mcain vegetables cooked in water served with rice. Restaurant was not very clean. Would not recommend.

Want to eat Japanese, Chinese or Korean dishes, then Ichiban is the place. Always serving good food.

Great food

I would recomend there prawns sushi. Generous amount of sauce. The peaces are well made and easy to eat. Sweet and sour dishes can be a bit dry some days but good most of the time. Very friendly till lady.

First time ordering from Ichiban Queenswood tonight and very happy with the food! Fresh produce, tender chicken and not too oily as some Asian style take out can be. We had the sweet and sour chicken with noodles, sushi combo 2, and spring rolls. Thank you Ichiban!

The sweetcorn soup and buns filled with chicken was very nice...the lady there is also friendly and kept my phone for me till i went back to get it...forgot it on the counter.

Service was not very friendly. Dumping watery inside. Pork bun big disappointment. Prawn dumpling and mushroom bun was nice. Prawn springroll was good but cheese springroll tasted sour.

Food is AMAZING.I can really recommend the Chow Fan.

Found pieces of steel wool in my beef fried rice meal today. Very disapointed and disgusted to find such things in my favourite Chinese meal.

Very disappointed. Usually love the meals I get from ichiban. Today I ordered an assorted chow me in, which comes with beef, Prawn and chicken. I asked to take the beef out and just have chicken and prawn. To my dismay, there was only 2 prawns in the whole meal.I was so shocked I took a photo after searching through the entire thing.

Food is good at a good price. Just need to add a little salt as most dishes needs it.

The fried rice was outstanding. Very tasty food.

I ordered 2 Chicken chow mains and 8 pieces of Salmon fashion sandwiches. When I got home I opened the plastics and i only got 4 pieces of Salmon fashion sandwiches. I phoned them and the lady very rudely answered the phone i explained to her that i only received 4 and she just denied it and said she gave me 8 and hung up the phone.Im disappointed.

The service is good and the food is delicious. The fried dumplings is a must.

Great Thai / Chinese food, strangely quiet staff

If I could give zero stars I would. The food was bland (very unlike authentic Thai!) and not nearly as spicy as promised. To top it off I got really sick with stomach flu thanks to my thai food. Will not be going back.

People on the floor has no idea what is going on in the shop. I waited too long for service and when we eventually found someone to to help us, the answer was eich I dont no .
